    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Drive From Kathmandu (1,350M/4,429Ft). To Pokhara ( 827M/2,713Ft)

The day will begin with a long drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by private vehicle. The route from Kathmandu to Pokhara along the Trishuli River is one of Nepalโ€™s most popular travel routes.

The 6-hour drive along the Prithvi Highway takes you through several small villages, terraced farms, occasional rural towns, diverse landscapes, and grassy hills. If the weather is good, youโ€™ll be able to see snow-capped mountains right outside your window. After about six hours of driving from Kathmandu, you will arrive in the city of lakes, Pokhara.

Pokhara, which stretches along the shores of Phewa Lake, is Nepalโ€™s tourism capital. The valley combines beautiful weather, laid-back vibes, colorful markets, upscale restaurants, a tranquil lakeside, and breathtaking mountain views. You can see the giants of the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre from Pokhara. In the evening, you will be able to walk around the lakeside and relax on the shores of Phewa Lake.

  • Day 3 Drive From Pokhara (827M/2,713Ft) To Nayapul (1,070M/3,510Ft) And Trek To Tikhedhunga (1,970M/6,463Ft)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Drive From Pokhara (827M/2,713Ft) To Nayapul (1,070M/3,510Ft) And Trek To Tikhedhunga (1,970M/6,463Ft)

The day will begin with a hearty breakfast at the hotel in Pokhara. After breakfast, youโ€™ll board a private vehicle and travel through Baglung Rajmarg Road to Nayapul. This is the most common trail used by hikers.

The 90-minute drive from Pokhara to Nayapul takes you through windy hills and bumpy roads. Youโ€™ll catch a glimpse of the hills, mountains, surrounding landscapes, and valley.

Upon reaching Nayapul, you will leave the transport behind and start trekking towards Tikhedhunga. If the weather is clear, you will get a marvelous sight of Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail) along the way. Walking past several settlements, cultivated terraced farms, and over the odd suspension bridge, you will reach Tikhedhunga. The trail is relatively comfortable and easy compared to other days. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to reach Tikhedhunga from Nayapul.

  • Day 4 Trek From Tikhedhunga (1,970M/6,463Ft) To Ghorepani (2,880M/9,448Ft)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Trek From Tikhedhunga (1,970M/6,463Ft) To Ghorepani (2,880M/9,448Ft)

After an early breakfast, weโ€™ll prepare for a difficult climb from Tikhedhung to Ghorepani. When you leave Tikhedhunga, youโ€™ll start the trek with a steep stone stairway up to the ridgeline. This stairway has over 3,500 steps and is considered the most difficult section of the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. After passing through this strenuous section, the trail opens up to more scenic terrain shaded by blooming rhododendron blossoms and oak trees.

After a gradual ascent, youโ€™ll arrive at Nangethanti, where youโ€™ll stop and rest after an exhausting climb. If you trek during the winter, the trail above Nangethanti is likely to be snow-covered. Furthermore, you will continue your gradual walk from the rest stop to Ghorepani.

This small village was once a popular rest stop for traders, providing them with enough water (pani) for their horses (ghora). Hence the nomenclature โ€” Ghorepani.

  • Day 5 Morning Hike To Poon Hill ( 3,210M/10,531Ft) And Trek To Tadapani (2,625M/8,612Ft)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Morning Hike To Poon Hill ( 3,210M/10,531Ft) And Trek To Tadapani (2,625M/8,612Ft)

This day is the most significant highlight of the journey. Youโ€™ll get up early before dawn to hike to Poon Hill, Annapurnaโ€™s most famous viewpoint. The 45-minute walk from Tikhedhunga is mostly uphill until reaching Poon Hill.

From Poon Hill, you can witness the most spectacular sunrise over the high Himalayas. Youโ€™ll also get to see the panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhare, Annapurna II, Annapurna South, and Lamjung Himal. After some time at the summit, youโ€™ll return to Ghorepani via the same route. When you arrive in Ghorepani, head towards the small village of Tadapani.

Tadapaniโ€™s route includes both gradual uphill and downhill sections. You will be crossing the Deurali Pass, a small pass that runs along the hillsideโ€™s ridgeline. You will occasionally pass through dense rhododendron forest as you cross Deurali Pass and head towards Ban Thanthi.

From here, you will leave the rhododendron forest and descend the valley to the shore of Burundi Khola. After crossing the suspension bridge over the river, youโ€™ll gradually climb to Tadapani, where youโ€™ll spend the night.

  • Day 6 Trek From Tadapani (2,625M/8,612Ft) To Landruk (1,565M/5,134Ft)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Trek From Tadapani (2,625M/8,612Ft) To Landruk (1,565M/5,134Ft)

After a hearty breakfast at Tadapani, youโ€™ll start your day with a leisurely stroll through the picturesque woodland. To get to Ghandruk village, youโ€™ll need to walk for about 3 hours along the gradual trail. Ghandruk is one of the most popular Gurung villages in the Annapurna region. This small village, at an elevation of 1,940 meters, provides a spectacular view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, and Gangapurna.

After exploring Ghandruk, you continue your walk along a stone-paved trail to Landruk. The route is relatively pleasant, leading downhill through the village of Kyumi to the bank of the Modi Khola River. Youโ€™ll cross the Modi Khola bridge and head uphill towards Landruk. It takes about three hours from Ghandruk to Landruk.

Trek From Landruk ( 1,565M/5,134Ft) To Phedi (1,700M/5,577Ft) And Drive To Pokhara (827M/2,713Ft)

After breakfast, youโ€™ll start the day with a gradual climb from Landruk to Tolka. Youโ€™ll be walking along a narrow ridge next to the Modi Khola River, down stone-paved stairs. After arriving in Tolka, you will continue your walk uphill towards the Modi Khola Valley.

You will continue your gradual walk towards Pothana from the Modi Khola Valley, heading towards the ridge of Dhampus village. The route from Pothana to Dhampus abruptly becomes a steep climb. Once in Dhampus, the trail descends vertically down a stone staircase to Phedi. The trail takes you through lush green forest and occasional terraced fields.

When you arrive in Phedi, you will board a private vehicle provided by Nepal Social Treks and be driven back to Pokhara. Pokhara is only about a half-hour drive from Kande. When you arrive in Pokhara, youโ€™ll have plenty of free time in the evening. You can have fun in a fancy restaurant, a colorful marketplace, a relaxed atmosphere, and enjoy breathtaking mountain views.

From Pokhara, you can see the Annapurna Range and Machhapuchhre Himal in the distance. In the evening, you can stroll through the Lakesideโ€™s ambient atmosphere and relax on the shores of Phewa Lake.
