  • Day 1 Day 1: Drive From Kathmandu To Chamje (1400M) Duration 8-9 Hours.

      Today a representative from Sherpa Expedition & Trekking will pick you up from your hotel. We will then head to Chamje, passing through Dumre and then along the Marsyangdi River Valley to Besisahar and ultimately to Chamje. The route will take us via Syange. 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Trek To Dharapani (1943M) Duration 5-6 Hours.

      Our trek begins and today we head to Tal, in the district of Manang. As we venture further along the trail you will see evidence of Tibetan Buddhist influence including their distinctive stone houses. Leaving Tal we come to Karte and then the  Marsyangdi River before reaching Dharapani Village.

      We will continue heading upriver passing several Gurung villages along the way. We initially come to Thonje and then Bagarchhap. Following along the banks of the river we come to a point where we ascend up the Manang Valley to Chame. Along the trail you can expect to have some fantastic views of Mt. Manaslu (8163m) and the mountains surrounding Larkya La Pass.

      We head through pine and juniper forests and pass through Bratang Village before reaching Pisang.

      On the trail today you will see the massive peak of Annapurna II in the south.

      We head to Ghyaru Village and along the trail will have some truly amazing views of Annapurna II and other snow-covered peaks, as well as the glacier of Annapurna IV โ€“ that is visible from Ghyaru. After a lunch break at Ghyaru we head on to Ngawal. You will know Ngawal village is close once you reach the Mani wall and the Tibetan prayer flags waving in the wind. At Ngawal we can look down to Humde Village and its small airport. We then head down to the villages of Bhakra and Braga before coming to Manang.

      It is highly recommended by experts to stay active when spending time acclimatizing. We will take a short trek to Bhojo Gumba โ€“ a monastery or to Gangapurna Lake, or can trek to Vraga Village where we can visit the Himalayan Rescue Association who can enlighten us about the condition of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Another option is to trek up to the Chonkor Viewpoint (3800m.) and wander around the village with its unique flat-roofed houses, and of course take in the fabulous scenery with the following mountains visible: Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Gangapurna to the South, Tilicho to the West - Chulu West and Chulu East to the North.

      Today we head to Tilicho Lake located to the west of Manang. We first have to cross the Khangsar Khola (river) before reaching the typical Tibetan village of Khangsar and then Shree Kharka.

      Along the trail to Tilicho Base Camp, we pass a Gompa (monastery) crossing a ridge and then head down into the gorge. On the other side of the gorge is Tilicho Base Camp.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Hike Up To Tilicho Lake (4919 Meter) & Back To Base Camp (4,150M) 5-6 Hours.

      Today we head out in the early morning when there is less wind. As the day progresses the winds tend to increase.

      The trek from Tilicho Base Camp to Tilicho Lake takes about 3-4 hours. Tilicho Lake is bleak and devoid of vegetation. It is considered the highest lake on earth. We will then head back to Tilicho Base Camp.


  • Day 10 Day 10: Trek To Yak Kharka (4000M) Duration 4-5 Hours.

      Today we reconnect with the Annapurna Circuit trail. On the trail we can see Annapurna, Tilicho peak, Gangapurna and other snow covered peaks. The only form of vegetation along the trail is juniper bushes. We will continue on this trail until we reach Yak Kharka.

  • Day 11 Day 11: Trek To Thorong Phedi / High Camp (4540M/4900M) Duration 3-4 Hours.

      Today the trail ascends to Thorong Phedi (Phedi meaning โ€˜foot of the hillโ€™). We first cross a suspension bridge and then reach Ledar Village. From here we again climb higher below the cliffs until we reach Thorong Phedi, the last village before Thorong La Pass. From this altitude, we have some impressive views of several high peaks: Mt. Gangapurna, Mt. Syagang, Thorong Peak, and Mt. Khatungkang.

  • Day 12 Day 12: Cross Thorong La Pass (5,416M) And Trek To Muktinath (3800M) Duration 8-9 Hours.

      Today is a physically challenging day as we head to higher altitudes. As we head off early we will be able to watch the sunrise over the mountains. It will take us about 3 to 4 hrs to reach Throng La Pass (5416 meter). From here the views are also amazing. We then head back down towards Mustang and on to the Kaligandaki Valley. After a 7 to 8 hour trek we reach Muktinath.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Trek To Jomsom (2720M) Duration 5-6 Hours.

      In the morning we will visit the Muktinath temple and then head down to the Kaligandaki River valley. The trail is quite easy going for the next few hours, and then we reach Jomsom, the regional headquarters of the Mustang region.

      The journey to Pokhara will allow us time to take in the views. On arrival at Pokhara we will drop you back at your hotel.

      In the morning you will have time to explore Pokhara. You can wander along lakeside - Phewa Tal or sit down in a cafรฉ and enjoy a drink.  On arrival back in Kathmandu we will take you to your hotel where you can sit back and relax or wander around Thamel for some souvenirs and last-minute shopping.
