Annapurna Base Camp Budget Trek

This tour includes:

Meals

Three meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) during the trek.

Airport pick up and Drop off by private car. Round trip transportation Kathmandu- Pokhara/ Pokhara -Kathmandu by Tourist Bus. Private transport from Pokhara-Nayapul and back to Pokhara.

Two nightโ€™s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu with breakfast Two nights hotel accommodation in Pokhara with breakfast. Trekking lodge/teahouse twin sharing accommodations during the trek.

English speaking Trekking guide with all his salary, food, drinks, accommodation, transport, and insurance.

Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) entry permit & Tourist Information Management System (TIMS) permits. Medical supplies (first aid kit will be available).   • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu (1,350M) & Transfer To Hotel.

      Sherpa Expedition & Trekking staff will be there to greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to your hotel, followed by a briefing covering information about the trek. Your safety and comfort are paramount.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Drive From Kathmandu To Pokhara (8,50M) 6-7 Hours.

      Our journey begins with a 6-7 hour drive to Pokhara Valley with its beautiful Phewa Tal (lake) and then checking in to your hotel close to Phewa Tal. There is a lot to see and do along Lakeside with its many shops, bars, and restaurants to choose from. The views of the Annapurnas across the lake are particularly beautiful at sunset.

      Today we travel by private vehicle from Pokhara to Nayapul and then trek to Ulleri Village. The trail follows a steep path for 2 to 3 hours before leveling off. We pass through a forested area and from here we will then have amazing views of Mt. Annapurna South and Mt. Hiunchuli.

      Leaving Ulleri we follow the trail to the Magar village of Banthanti from where we have amazing views of Mt. Machapuchare (6997m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Annapurna South (7219m). After following the trail through rhododendron forest (8 distinct varieties) we cross a small bridge before reaching the village of Ghorepani where enormous peaks, such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna tower above us. Rhododendrons are Nepalโ€™s national emblem! This is an ideal place to sit and take in the beautiful views of the rhododendron forests below. 

  • Day 5 Day 5: Hike Up To Poonhill For Sunrise And Trek To Tadapani (2,610M) 6-7 Hours.

      Getting up before sunrise we will trek to Poon Hill (3,210m), a place famous for its views over the Annapurna Mountains. The views of the rising sun over these snow-covered peaks, such as Annapurna and Dhaulagiri are absolutely stunning. After spending a few hours at Poon Hill we head back down to Ghorepani. After breakfast at Ghorepani, we trek through pine and rhododendron forests until we reach Deurali (2,690m). A short trek takes us to Tadapani (2,610m) where we will stay overnight in a guesthouse.

      Today we leave Tadapani and head to Sinuwa (2,340m) through rhododendron forests until we reach Chomrong (2,140m).  After a lunch break here we continue to  Sinuwa where we will stay overnight in a guesthouse.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Trek To Himalaya Hotel (2,900M) 5-6 Hours.

      In the morning we head out on the trail for Himalaya hotel. We initially head down to the Chomrong Khola (river) and then climb up to Khuldighar Village. We continue until we reach Dovan and then a short trek to the Himalayan hotel (2900m). We will stay here overnight in a guesthouse. 

  • Day 8 Day 8: Trek To Annapurna Base Camp (4,130M) 4-5 Hours.

      Today the trail takes us via Machapuchare Base Camp and then to the Sanctuary (ABC) - a trail that is sometimes covered in snow โ€“ depending on the season.  We follow the trail that takes us by Hinku Cave and Deurali. From ABC you have fantastic views of Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Himchuli (6441m) and Machapuchare (6997m). We can spend time at ABC at one of the teahouses. We will stop here for the night.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Trek To Bamboo (2,345M) 5-6 Hours.

      We head back on the same trail, and initially drop around 1,700m down to the banks of the Modi Khola and then continue to Bamboo (2,345m). We will spend the night here at a guesthouse.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Trek To Jhinu Danda (1,760M) 5-6 Hours.

      Leaving Bamboo in the morning we have a short climb to Sinuwa Village (2320m) and then on to Chomrong. After a short rest break at Chomrong, we head uphill before having to descend to Jhinu Danda where we can relax in the thermal hot springs situated just below the Modi River. We will stay here tonight.

  • Day 11 Day 11: Trek Down To Siwai (1,100M) And Drive To Pokhara (8,50M) 6-7 Hours.

      Today we head down to Siwal Village from where we will drive to Pokhara where we will stay overnight.


  • Day 12 Day 12: Drive Back To Kathmandu (1,3500 M) 6-7 Hours.

      Today we head back to Kathmandu via the Prithvi Highway. The bus ride will give you time to relax and take in the changing countryside. On reaching Kathmandu you will have time to wander around Thamel and do some last-minute shopping.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Transfer To The International Airport For Your Final Departure.
