Our first stop will be at St. George Church in Madaba to see its famous mosaic map. Next we will drive to Mt. Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land and continue following the King's Highway until Kerak, where we will visit the immense Crusaders Castle. With your English-speaking guide walk through the mile-long Siq, passing the remains of Nabataean shrines, water channels, wall carvings and some of the original paving stones. See the magnificent Treasury as you exit the Siq, explore the Street of Facades, Theatre, Royal Tombs, Colonnaded Street, Byzantine Church, Winged Lionโ€™s Temple, Qasr al Bint, and the Petra Museum where your guide will leave you. Climb to the Monastery and/or High Place of Sacrifice on your own. Dinner and overnight at a traditional Bedouin Campsite.Please note: Depending on your physical condition, the rain season and the condition of the Dark Siq at the time of your tour, your guide reserves the full right to follow an alternative route.Today, explore Petra with your guide.
