      Flight from Frankfurt to Amman. After your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Welcome to the Kingdom of Jordan! Overnight stay at the hotel.

      Day 2: Ancient Jerash And The Fortress Of Ajloun

      After breakfast, head north to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities outside Italy. After a short drive you will reach Ajloun, a beautiful valley in the Jordanian highlands. On a hike through olive groves, orchards and sandstone formations, you will reach the village of Rasun, where you will visit a womenโ€™s cooperative. Not far from there, you will stop for lunch with a family. You spend the night under pistachio and pine trees in the Ajloun nature reserve. Overnight stay with a host family.       Day 3: Dead Sea And Dana Nature Reserve

      After breakfast and an entertaining walk through the nature reserve, drive down to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. Be amazed by the surreal scenery of red mountains, blue water and white salt deposits. Experience the feeling of weightlessness during a swim. Afterwards, drive to Dana in the nature reserve of the same name. Overnight stay in the hotel.

      Day 4: Trekking From Dana To Wadi Feynan

      Today you will hike from the village of Dana through Jordanโ€™s largest nature reserve down into the Jordan Rift Valley. On this first hike, you will pass through different vegetation zones. You will find forested mountainous areas with rocky slopes, desert-like landscapes and sand dunes along the way. You will reach Feynan in the late afternoon. Overnight stay in a tent.       Day 5: Trekking To Mteir Elriz

      Leaving the Feynan desert behind you, you hike through the south-east of Jordan today on a stony and sometimes steep path in Mteir Elriz. The path, which has always been used by Bedouins, leads over a mountain ridge and opens up wonderful views over the Wadi Araba. From the highest point of the day, the donkey path winds its way down to Mteir Elriz, where your team will be waiting for you with dinner. Overnight stay in a tent.       Day 6: Trekking To Shekaret Msayed

      After an initial slight descent, the path climbs slightly again. The further you gain altitude, the more spectacular the views become. You bypass the Sharah Mountains and pass Nabataean ruins and a small spring. You have lunch in the shade of juniper trees. At Shekaret Msayed you reach the camp in an open area surrounded by majestic mountains. Another night in the wilderness under the stars awaits you. Overnight stay in a tent.       Day 7: Trekking To Beida And Little Petra

      In the morning, the landscape slowly begins to change. The narrow wadis increasingly give way to wide, open rocky landscapes of sandstone. Hiking across fields, you reach the white sandstone formations of Beida before beginning the descent to Little Petra. Overnight stay in a tent.       Day 8: Trekking To Petra

      In the morning, a small, little-used Bedouin path leads across fields before it slowly begins to wind its way along the first sandstone cliffs. The route continues downhill before you reach Petraโ€™s first landmark after another hour: Ad-Deir, the monastery. After more temples and tombs, you pass through a little-known "Siq" into Petra proper. The Treasury, probably the most famous building in the Nabataean city, awaits you there.       Day 9: Visit To The Rock City Of Petra

      Petra, the former capital of the Nabataeans and one of the "7 new wonders of the world", is waiting to be discovered today! Visit the royal tombs and hike through the narrow rocky gorge of this more than 2000-year-old city. The whole day is at your disposal to explore the city individually. Overnight stay as on the previous day.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Trekking In The Rakabat Canyon

      Day 10: Trekking In The Rakabat Canyon

      You set off for Wadi Rum early in the morning. After meeting your trekking team in the village, your luggage is loaded onto the four-wheel drive vehicles and you set off towards your first stage destination: the Rakabat Canyon. From here, you will continue by vehicle to Jebel Burda, where you will spend the night in a tented camp. Whether you want to sleep in a traditional Bedouin tent woven from goatโ€™s hair or under the stars is up to you. The day comes to an end with a campfire and old Bedouin stories. Overnight stay in a camp. (Walking time approx. 2-3 hours, 350 mโ†‘, 330 mโ†“, approx. 4 km).

  • Day 11 Day 11: Trekking To Jebel Um Fruth

      Day 11: Trekking To Jebel Um Fruth

      You drive to Jebel Burda by off-road vehicle. Here you climb up the pale yellow sandstones, which take on a reddish glow the higher you go. Once at the top, you cross an impressive rock bridge and enjoy a breathtaking view over the entire region. Afterwards, you hike further along sandy wadis and eroded rocky outcrops to a smaller rock bridge at Jebel Um Fruth. Your team has already set up camp nearby. Overnight stay as the day before. (Walking time approx. 5-6 hours, 280 mโ†‘, 200 mโ†“, approx. 11 km).

  • Day 12 Day 12: Trekking To Jebel Um Adaami - Aqaba

      Day 12: Trekking To Jebel Um Adaami - Aqaba

      Not far from the border with Saudi Arabia lies the rarely visited Wadi Saabit, from where your ascent to Jordanโ€™s highest mountain begins. After a difficult part at the beginning, you quickly gain altitude and then enjoy a view from the summit far into the Wahhabi kingdom. After the descent, say "maโ€™assalama" to your team and continue to Aqaba on the Red Sea. Overnight stay in a hotel. (Walking time approx. 2-3h, 380 mโ†‘, 480 mโ†“, approx. 4 km; driving distance approx. 40 km). Note: If you donโ€™t want to climb Jebel Adaami, you can alternatively go on a hike in Wadi Rum.

  • Day 13 Day 13: From Aqaba Via Kerak To Madaba

      Day 13: From Aqaba Via Kerak To Madaba

      After midday, you leave the city on the Red Sea and visit the Crusader castle of Kerak on the way back to Madaba. Even today, some 900 years after it was built, the fortress still seems impregnable. In Crusader times, Kerak was the easternmost point of the empire from which caravans were raided. A visit to the bakery, the church or the sleeping quarters will give you a good impression of what life must have been like back then. Overnight stay in a hotel in Madaba. (Travel distance approx. 320 km).

      In the morning you will be transferred to Amman airport for your return flight to Germany.
