Day 1: Amazon Arapiuns River Waterfall Tour

First day

We will leave Alter do Chao northbound, passing by the Piranhas Lake; with our first photoshoot at Ponta do Cururu beach. We will start our adventure by crossing the Tapajos River, passing through the Vila Franca community and entering the Arapiuns River.

On the Arapiuns River, our stop will be the rough diamond discovered by Selvagem Tours: the community of Urucurea, which briefly, is a wonderful cove, which is subdivided into three arms of water, providing a unique view and thus showing the potential the newest tourist destination in the region. We can highlight the picturesque church, which is outside the community, built on top of a hill. We will visit the property of Mr. José and family, which will show the talent of the native women in handcrafted pieces made with mastery and a lot of talent. One of the entertainment options is that we can witness (***) the preparation and making of handicrafts (a true cultural show), in which those who participate receive valuable knowledge about the arts and history of the Arapiuns River. Now a Wild surprise! They have a monkey, toucan and other animals on their property that can be photographed in close-up.

Arapiuns River Arua waterfall The first option for those who want to enjoy nature, is to visit the community on a (****) very interesting trail, due to the fact that it continues bordering the cove, counting two and a half kilometers back and forth (easy, quiet, which can be performed in sneakers or even sandals), which takes around an hour and a half. On the way, we can take a brief break for a refreshing dip, some bold photos and continue. In addition, of course, we will be able to see birds, monkeys of various species, lizards and much more. A pretty wild experience, huh?

For customers who prefer less movement and more observation, we offer the (*****) Tour of the community in a little wooden boat or canoe, quietly exploring the three arms of water, overlooking an original flour house and the like church at the top of the hill.

Another way is to take the (******) Tour of the beaches around the community, also in the wooden boat or canoe, visiting beautiful beaches, untouched and ideal for an invigorating bath.

After enjoying so much life, so many emotions and so much learning, it is time to go back there with your José, it’s time for lunch! You will taste the Amazon, in a (*******) native lunch, prepared by the magical hands of Mrs. Neuzinha, with fresh fish, wild chicken and sometimes several meats, not to mention the fantastic setting where lunch is served. In addition to filling the stomach, it is also filling the eyes! After that, just lying and packing on that hammock, enjoying the breeze and understanding the value of life…

We will continue along the rocky banks of the Arapiuns River to our favorite stop, the fascinating Ponta do Toronó dunes and Grande Lake. It is difficult to describe exactly what you will find, but frankly, it is at least sensational to see how nature builds havens. Life immediately becomes meaningful when you witness places like this…

We will walk along long sand dunes, which divide the Arapiuns River into a large lake, with the possibility of seeing birds flying over our heads and maybe even porpoises showing their fins. Yes, life is beautiful. Our idea is to present you with your first night resting in paradise. Feel free to choose how you want to enjoy it, be it in one of our cozy cabins on the vessel or even camping on the beach and making use of this Wild opportunity, with safety and tranquility.

Day 2: Amazon Arapiuns River Waterfall Tour

Second-day Arapiuns River Arua waterfall

WOW! What a spectacle to awaken to life in a place that fulfills our intentions with the best of nature. Take advantage of the memory and register, as it is a very good place for photos and dives in crystal clear waters. Time to continue!

We will continue along the beautiful left bank of the Arapiuns River to the community of (********) Coroca, where we will visit craft stores and visit a creation of tracajá (small Amazonian turtles), beekeeping and an unique ecotourism project on the Arapiuns River. It is always impressive when faced with human creativity, materialized in handicrafts and activities in line with the environment.

We will continue the adventure towards Aruã waterfalls, at comfortable cruise speed, passing through some villages. Among them, we will make a brief stop at the São Pedro and São José communities, with their beautiful beaches and their respective tips. We move on, always observing what is most beautiful along the way.

The next stop promises pleasant and fun moments among family and friends: We will camp at Monte Sião, stage of the Wild Dinner, embraced by the night, rhythmic with laughter and involved in expectations of what is in store for the next day.

Day 3: Amazon Arapiuns River Waterfall Tour

Third day

After breakfast, the energies are renewed and supplied. Everything ready to go! You will have the chance to see more communities along this route, as well as a timber port. We are getting closer and closer, which can be noticed by the tapering of the river, which shows how the waters rip the relief, showing a sinuous design, by which the boat navigates centralized, respectfully obeying the curves imposed by nature. Now, before your eyes, here is our hostess, the Aruã water falls, which from the front, welcomes you with freshness and that sense of conquered goal!

It is a wonderful and delicious waterfall. A charming space for swimming, canoeing, ecological walking and taking many high-resolution photos. You then have a day full of pleasure and satisfaction, enjoying every minute. How? Well, the inn there has a good structure, with bridges and viewpoints, a bar and snacks at your disposal. Wild Tip: Have you thought about jumping down the waterfall? Yes? Great, because there you can! A leap for freedom and a refreshing bath that will stay in your memory forever! Enjoy!

When the day shows signs that it is ending, it is the nod for our team to prepare everything for the night, as we will make a fire at the edge of the waterfall and guess why? Well, a wild dinner watching the starry sky to the sound of the waters, which fall like a symphony.

Fourth day

Time to say goodbye to the waterfall! We head towards Ponta do Papagaio beach for lunch, then doing another station in the São Francisco community for a bath. Let us continue?

We will continue observing beaches along the way, until we reach the magnificent Ponta Grande dunes, one of the most beautiful peninsulas, which covers three-quarters of the river, a place where your eyes and senses will marvel especially at the tranquility, perfect element for meditating and ponder about life. Now let us feel the Wild side: a fire by the beach, with that roasted fish and a lot of good conversation. Courtesy of us, your satisfaction! At bedtime, you choose whether to stay on the beach by the fire or in our comfortable and safe boats.

Fifth day

The morning is up to you: choose the pleasure that best suits your will. meditation, walking on the beach, that swim that looks like a rebirth or even exercising outdoors. Everything is there, at your disposal!

After that first moment of the day, we will continue, as there is still much to do! We will continue to the tip of Icuxi, also a very beautiful place where several New Year’s Eve parties are held.

Finally, we will cross the Tapajos River to see the sunset at Ponto do Cururu beach, meditating on the beautiful beaches we swim in, the various communities and people we know and the many beauties that have remained in our minds and hearts for the rest of our lives.
