Day 1: Arrival Yangon

Pass By: Yangon Yangon, 339 Bo Gyoke Aung San Road, Yangon (Rangoon) 11182 Myanmar
Upon arrival at Yangon International airport, meet your driver and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Yangon to Bagan by public bus

Stop At: Shwedagon Pagoda, Yangon (Rangoon) Myanmar
During this interactive half-day tour we take you through the back door and show you the full history of the pagoda, the daily life of all people living in its immediate surroundings and a deeper insight in the Buddhist religion and how the spiritual belief is mixed with the belief in nats
Duration: 1 hour

Pass By: Bagan Temples, Bagan Archaeological Zone, Bagan Myanmar
Transfer to the bus station around 17:30 by own arrangement. The bus will depart from Yangon at 20:00 and arrive to Bagan around 06:00.

Day 3: Bagan - Half day orientation - No meal

Stop At: Ananda Temple, Beside Anawrahta Road, Bagan 05232 Myanmar
Located in Bagan, Myanmar is a Buddhist temple built in 1105 AD during the reign (1084โ€“1113) of King Kyanzittha of the Pagan Dynasty. It is one of four surviving temples in Bagan.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Dhammayan Gyi Temple, Old Bagan, Myanmar (Burma)
Largest of all the temples in Bagan, the Dhammayan as it is popularly known was built during the reign of King Narathu.

Stop At: Thatbyinnyu Temple, Old Bagan, Bagan Myanmar
Sabbannu or "the Omniscient", is a famous temple located in Bagan (formerly Pagan), built in the mid-12th century during the reign of King Alaungsithu. It is adjacent to Ananda Temple. Thatbyinnyu Temple is shaped like a cross, but is not symmetrical. The temple has two primary storeys, with the seated Buddha image located on the second storey.

Day 4: Bagan Sightseeing

Pass By: Bagan Temples, Bagan Archaeological Zone, Bagan Myanmar
Aside from temples, Bagan is still a buzzing little town and we'll be sure to explore some of the traditions and lifestyles of its people. Kids on a break from school, snack vendors and a menagerie of pigs, cows and the occasional horse greet us along the way. We cap off the morning with a visit to a tea shop where we will sample unique snacks and, of course sip a cup of sweet Myanmar tea.

Day 5: Bagan - Kalaw by public bus

Pass By: Bagan Temples, Bagan Archaeological Zone, Bagan Myanmar
Transfer to the bus station around 07:00 by own arrangement. The bus will depart from Bagan at 07:30 and arrive to Kalaw around 17:00. Upon arrival at Kalaw, transfer to the hotel by own arrangement.

Day 6: Kalaw - Nyaung Shwe

Pass By: Kalaw Railway Station, Kalaw Myanmar
The picturesque colonial train station in Kalaw to board the 11:00 train that brings you over the mountains and through the valleys towards Inle Lake. A unique local experience that offers great views and a glimpse of local life in the Shan hills.

Pass By: Inle Lake, Nyaungshwe Myanmar
Arrival in Shwe Nyaung is planned around 14:00 and could be delayed if the trains stops longer then normally in local hill tribe villages to on or off load local goods โ€“ a colourful sight!

Day 7: Inle Lake Sightseeing

Pass By: Inle Lake, Nyaungshwe Myanmar
Inle Lake in southern Shan State is a vast natural lake surrounded by traditional Shan villages. On the lake itself the Intha people have been living for many centuries in village built entirely on stilts on the lake. Today we will take you by private motorboat around the lake to discover the natural beauty of the lake, visit the floating gardens, see some of the famous leg rowers and have some tea at a local familyโ€™s house.

Stop At: Phaung Daw Oo Paya Pagoda, Ywama Village, Taunggyi, Myanmar (Burma)
The pagoda houses five small gilded images of Buddha, which have been covered in gold leaf to the point that their original forms cannot be seen. The gold-leaf application to such excess is relatively recent. Old photographs hanging on the monastery walls show some of the images in a more pristine form.

Day 8: Inle Lake - Nyaung Shwe โ€“ Yangon by overnight bus

Pass By: Inle Lake, Nyaungshwe Myanmar
AM, free at leisure (or) explore the town on own.

PM, transfer to Nyaung Shwe bus station by own arrangement to take overnight A/C bus to Yangon leaves at 18:00.

Day 9: Yangon - Departure
