A guide will pick you up for city tour in Quito. Start in the colonial center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site home to numerous historic buildings and squares. You will visit Plaza Grande and the beautiful churches of La Compañía and La Basílica.

Afterward, make your way to the Mitad del Mundo (Middle of the World) monument to stand on the line of the equator. Strike a pose with one foot in each hemisphere and see how your balance is affected at latitude zero. Then, enjoy the nearby museums and exhibits, including the Planetarium, the Ethnographic Museum, and the Artisanal Beer Museum. There is also a small-scale model of Quito here, giving you a unique perspective on the city.

Then prepare to be amazed as a dedicated cocktail expert takes the stage and showcases their skills in a captivating demonstration. Watch closely as they unveil the secrets of the trade, sharing insider tips and tricks that will elevate your cocktail-making prowess.

Welcome to the Enchanted Islands of the Galapagos, where you will have a journey of a lifetime. As you arrive at Baltra Airport, a friendly and knowledgeable local guide will be waiting for you to transfer you to Santa Cruz Island. Your first stop is a local farm in the highlands of Santa Cruz. Here, you will find yourself surrounded by dozens of giant tortoises that roam freely in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, head to the Charles Darwin Research Station, a world-renowned institution dedicated to the conservation of the Galapagos Islands. Witness firsthand the work of international scientists who come to the Galapagos to carry out critical environmental projects. Learn about the unique ecosystem and the ongoing conservation efforts being made to protect it.

Your final stop for the day is the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center, where giant Galapagos tortoises are bred and cared for in a safe and controlled environment. This is the best place on the islands to see different tortoise species and learn about each one. Observe the tortoises up close and marvel at their size and unique features.

Today, your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you on a tour where you start a 45-minute walk through a beautiful cacti forest until reaching one of Galapagos’ most beautiful beaches: Tortuga Bay. Admire the marine iguanas lying around everywhere, swim a bit or just relax on the beach.

Then you will go to the Unica Cerveceria in Santa Cruz, where you will be explained the history of the brewery in Santa Cruz and an organoleptic explanation of the raw material in the elaboration of the beer. They will also participate in the production, malt milling on the milling bike and tasting of the beer brewed. In the meantime they will be given a talk.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure to explore the stunning beauty of the Galápagos Islands, home to some of the world’s most unique and diverse wildlife. During your tour, you’ll have a chance to visit Santa Fé, South Plaza, Bartolomé, or North Seymour, depending on the permit granted by the National Park authorities for that daily activity.

As you set sail on your boat, be prepared to witness the awe-inspiring views of the turquoise waters and rocky shorelines of the archipelago. Your expert guide will accompany you on a hike to explore the untouched natural habitats of the islands, where you’ll discover an array of exotic flora and fauna.

After a morning of exploration, take a break on the deck for a scrumptious lunch, before continuing on your adventure. Relax on the pristine beaches and soak up the sun, or take a dip in the crystal-clear waters for a refreshing swim.

Day 6 Bay Tour

Bay Tour

You will be taken on a small boat to visit exotic places along the bay of Santa Cruz. You’ll arrive at a small islet called La Lobería, named for its great colony of sea lions. You can snorkel around sea lions and tropical fish displaying a dazzling show beneath the surface against interesting underwater formations. Afterward, it’s on to the Shark Channel, where you may spot harmless white-tip sharks and blue-footed boobies. You’ll also come upon the Canal del Amor, where there are sea turtles and many different species of tropical fish.

You’ll later take a 10-minute walk and see marine iguanas in their natural habitat. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to take pictures along the way. Lastly, you’ll visit Las Grietas, two large cliffs filled with fresh water at the surface and salt water below. Arrive back in Santa Cruz and return to the town for your next activities.

Flights to mainland Ecuador from the Galapagos Islands depart mid-morning, so an early start is necessary to make the most of today’s visit to the Santa Cruz Highlands.

Travel through the agricultural region and into the mists of the unique scalesia cloud forest. See dome-shaped giant tortoises in the wild, as well as different species of Darwin finches and (if you’re lucky) the world-famous woodpecker and warbler finches.

Bid farewell to the islands and fly to Quito!
