  • Day 1 Christchurch Arrival Day

      Christchurch Arrival Day

      Welcome to Christchurch - the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand. Your accommodation for this evening is included and will be staying at Hotel Give, located at 12 Hereford Street, Christchurch Central. Youโ€™ll be able to check into your accommodation from 2pm onwards.

      This evening at 7pm, meet your Kiwi Experience Driver Guide and the rest of your tour companions at a local bar for a couple of drinks (included).

  • Day 2 Christchurch To Kaikoura
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Christchurch To Kaikoura

      Departing Christchurch bright and early, weโ€™ll venture up the east coast and stop off at Tawanui Farm where youโ€™ll get to experience life on a 330 hectare sheep and beef farm. Explore the farm, see sheep dogs working and get to meet and hand feed the animals while learning about farming systems and how they look after their environment. 


      Afterwards, weโ€™ll continue to Kaikoura in time for you to check out what itโ€™s most famous for โ€“ its whale watching or swimming with the dolphins (optional paid activities). Spend the evening chilling on the beach or sampling some of the best seafood New Zealand offers for your dinner. In fact, the name Kaikoura means to eat crayfish (โ€œkaiโ€ meaning to eat, โ€œkouraโ€ meaning crayfish).

  • Day 3 Kaikoura To Abel Tasman

      Kaikoura To Abel Tasman

      We head north and take in the last of the dramatic Kaikoura coastline. Itโ€™s a spectacular drive and we stop for a close look at the seals that lay about on the rocks. Arriving into the top of the South Island weโ€™ll journey through the dreamy Marlborough region, home to more vineyards than your eyes can see. Weโ€™ll stop for some wine and gin tasting (or twoโ€ฆ) along the way (included). Next is Tasman Bay home to the city of Nelson and our destination Abel Tasman National Park - a great spot to begin an adventure (on foot, by kayak or by water taxi).

      Beautiful Abel Tasman National Park is famous for its lush forest, framing golden sand beaches and fur seals playing in crystal clear waters. To make the most of your free day, we have a range of activities for you to choose from, so you can experience Abel Tasman the way you want to. Options include Hiking the Coastal track, Kayaking, Sailing or catching a Water Taxi into the heart of the National Park, your Driver Guide will help you plan your perfect day.

  • Day 5 Abel Tasman To Hanmer Springs

      Abel Tasman To Hanmer Springs

      This morning we stop at the iconic Nelson Lakes, so you can get your legendary wharf jumping shot before continuing onto Hanmer Springs - best known for its natural hot pools and stunning landscapes. The surrounding mountains are home to walking trails, the Heritage Forest (with a winding trail to a lookout point), and Waiau Gorge with whitewater rapids.

      The resort town of Hanmer Springs is the perfect destination for adventure, relaxation and indulgence. Surrounded by dramatic mountains and towering forests, this charming town has a main street filled with boutique shops, cafes and eateries. Adventure activities will immerse you in the wild beauty of Hanmer. Go forest hiking, mountain biking, horse trekking, bungy jumping, jet boating or, in winter, hit the slopes and go skiing.


      Today you have an entry ticket to the iconic Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa where you can soak in the 22 outdoor thermal pools, complete with four hydroslides and the New Zealandโ€™s largest aquatic thrill ride, Conical Thrill.

  • Day 7 Hanmer Springs To Christchurch

      Hanmer Springs To Christchurch

      After an action packed and rejuvinated stay in Hanmer Springs, weโ€™ll cruise through onto Christchurch. Before returning to Christchurch weโ€™ll stop at the Iron Ridge Quarry Sculpture Park - set in the stunning North Canterbury landscape overlooking the Waipara River Valley. Many artworks both large and small are on display throughout the park. A magical place, full of intrigue and beauty. Afterwards we head to Christchurch for one last hurrah before the tour ends.
