Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe from Kigali

Stop At: Ethnographic Museum Rwanda, Rn1, Huye Rwanda
Ethnographic collection. It's made up of 7 Galleries displaying historical, Ethnographic, artistic and archaeological artifacts giving a rich insight into the Rwandan culture. you will also see the cultural dancers perform for you the Rwandan cultural dance.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Nyungwe, Rwanda
The canopy walkway which provides an exhilarating perspective on the ancient treetops and wildlife. The 160m long and 70m high suspension bridge is part of the guided tour.ย Travelers come from far and wide to catch a glimpse of chimps

Day 2: Chimp tracking/Visit to Gisakura Tea Plantation/the palace of King Mutara III Rudahigwa, Nyanza

Stop At: Nyungwe National Park, Butare Rwanda
chimpanzee trekking tour to Nyungwe forest national park in Rwanda will give you a rare opportunity to see chimps in the wild and other various monkey species. chimps are easy to see at this time as they jump from one tree to the other while chattering and laughing.

Stop At: Gisakura, Gisakura, Western Province
Gisakura Tea plantation is among the most famous of the country's tea plantation hugging the undulating hills at the western fringes of Nyungwe National Forest Park. Keep an eye out for the troop of colobus monkeys which live in a patch of the forest within the plantation.

Stop At: The Palace of King Mutara III Rudahigwa, Rukari, Nyanza Rwanda
beautifully crafted, the traditional royal residence, the king's palace shaped like a beehive located in Nyanza not far from Ethnographic museum. Rich in Rwandan Monarchy history as Nyanza used to be the site of battles and power struggles.

Day 3: transfer to Akagera from kigali

Stop At: Akagera National Park, Rwanda
Akagera national park is the central Africa's largest protected wetland and a refugee for savanna-adopted species in Rwanda. The tour drives with in the park is the main activity. with elephants being the dominating in numbers. There are over 150 elephants in the park and still counting. All the big five (5) are found in this park.
This Park is a home to quite a number of animals and in a short time you will be able to see the giraffes, Impalas, Topis, the Zebras, bush bucks, African swallows, eland, the vervet monkeys, warthogs, baboons, mangoose, Hippos, crocodiles, the list is endless.

Stop At: Lake Ihema, Rwanda
After the morning game drive, lunch and check in from the hotel we shall proceed to Ihema lake for the boat ride, the second largest lake in country after Lake Kivu. One hour boat ride in this Lake is obviously one of the most beautiful experience it is the best way to view the park abundant waterbirds including flycatchers, african fishing eagles, african darters and breeding colonies of noisy and smelly cormorants and open-bill storks.

Day 4: Transfer to Musanze

Stop At: Ruhengeri, Ruhengeri, Musanze District, Northern Province
A home for volcanoes known mostly for the giant mountain gorillas found in the volcanoes region. Musanze is a pleasant town to explore on foot, itโ€™s situated near a number of interesting natural sights, it is a hassle-free and buzzing city with plenty of choice for eating out, markets, vibrant nightlife and artisan trade.
This takes about 5 hours

Day 5: Golden Monkey tracking and a visit to Iby'Iwacu cultural village

Stop At: Volcanoes National Park, Musanze Kinigi, Ruhengeri Rwanda
Volcanoes national park is a home to the mountain gorilla and the golden monkey. Golden monkey tracking is one of the main activities in this park. Golden monkeys are a rare species that are endangered at the moment and they are currently found in the Virunga Mountains in Rwanda. They are easily recognized due to the yellow patches that can be seen all over their bodies. They are also known as โ€˜the Old world monkeyโ€™ and the only way to separate these primates from others is by their noses.

Stop At: Iby'iwacu Cultural Village, Close To the Virunga National Park, Kinigi Rwanda

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking in Volcanoes National Park

You would expect to see Mountain Gorillas living in families led by the silver-backs, The mountain Gorillas are unique species with complex personalities and behaviors, as well as interesting social structures. The walk to get to Gorillas is a great experience!!

Day 7: Transfer to Kigali/ city tour and Departure
