Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up at the Airport and Travel to Samburu National Reserve

Stop At: Samburu National Reserve, Samburu National Reserve, Samburu District, Rift Valley Province
Pick up at the Nairobi hotel or Nairobi airport at 6.00am thereafter proceed to drive North via the central highlands and Mt. Kenya with the views of coffee plantations and other subsistence farming activities into Samburu National Park arriving in time for lunch. Have a short relaxation then later at 4pm proceed for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at your preferred lodge/camp.

Day 2: Game Drives at Samburu National Reserve

Stop At: Samburu National Reserve, Samburu National Reserve, Samburu District, Rift Valley Province
You will have breakfast then you shall spend the whole day with game viewing drives. Samburu is spectacular and scenic. It is an area where Game viewing drives in this dry and scenic game reserve are concentrated with animals along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. This is where most wildlife such as Elephants, Leopards, Hippo, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra and Crocodiles is found. Over 365 species of bird have been identified in the sanctuary. In the evening, you will return back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Samburu to Aberdare

Stop At: Aberdare National Park, Aberdare National Park, Central Province
You will have a morning game viewing at Samburu National park then later drive to the Aberdare national park. The wildlife present in this protected area includes lions, leopards, Elephants, Bushbucks, Waterbucks, Cape buffalos and Colobus monkeys. The park also contains a large number of Eastern black Rhinoceros. The ‘tree hotels’ are a set of spectacular safari lodges which overlook a waterhole and natural salt licks that attract the game around the lodges and this makes it an ideal possibility for night game viewing. Dinner and overnight at your preferred lodge/camp

Day 4: Aberdare to Nakuru

Stop At: Lake Nakuru National Park Kenya
After breakfast, depart the Aberdare and proceed to Lake Nakuru. We shall have a stop via the scenic Thompsons falls at Nyahururu. The drive via the central Kenya highlands with stops to view tea/coffee plantations and local homesteads via the Great Rift Valley escarpment floor is scenic. You will arrive in time for lunch, take a short relaxation thereafter enjoy an afternoon bird watching and game viewing drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at your preferred lodge/camp

Day 5: Nakuru to Maasai Mara

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
Early morning game viewing drive, have breakfast then depart to the famous Maasai Mara game reserve ‘The Jewel of Kenya’s Wildlife and home to the big five and more. You will arrive at the lodge/camp in time for lunch; have a short relaxation until 4pm thereafter you proceed for an afternoon game viewing drive in this spectacular reserve that will introduce you to its splendours. Dinner and overnight at a lodge/camp

Day 6: Maasai Mara

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
After breakfast, you will leave for a full day game drive in search of great predators. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive Cheetah and Leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. During the day, we also have an optional opportunity to visit the Maasai village at an extra cost – people witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is poignant experience. Return back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

Stop At: Nairobi, Nairobi
Early morning game drives from 6.00am – 9.00pm where we might be lucky to view the cats hunting. After breakfast leave the camp/lodge with game viewing Enroute your return journey back to Nairobi. Stopover in Narok for lunch then proceeds to Nairobi. Drop off at your preferred destination
