Day 1: Vientiane Airport Pick-up, Wat Si Saket Wat Ho Phra Keo, Pha That Luang, & Patuxay Monument

Stop At: Wattay International Airport, Vientiane, Laos
When you arrive at Wattay International Airport, your local driver and guide will pick you up and escort you to your hotel for the check-in.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Wat Si Saket, Lane Xang Avenue, Vientiane, Vientiane 0100 Laos
After the check-in, you will start the Vientiane city tour with a visit to Wat Si Saket. It is the oldest temple in this city with a five-tiered roof. The cloister showing 2000 Buddha sculptures, which are made of ceramic and silver, will be a highlight of the visit. The colorful structures are also worth seeing.

Stop At: Wat Ho Phra Keo, Rue Setthathirath, Vientiane 0100 Laos
Opposite to Wat Si Saket sits Wat Ho Phra Keo, where once the Emerald Buddha had been enshrined for over 200 years. You will be amazed by the Khmer statues and Buddha sculptures made of gold and jade, as we will as the beautiful carvings on the walls and pillars.

Stop At: Great Sacred Stupa (Pha That Luang), That Luang Road, Vientiane 0100 Laos
Then you will be guided to visit the majestic Pha That Luang, which is located centrally in this city. On arrival, your eyes will be caught by the gilded top and Lao-style walls. The various sculptures inside will bring you with an eye-opening experience. The enormous sleeping Buddha sculpture, which is gold-covered and with an amazing size of 147.6 feet high, is also a famous attraction here. The Buddhaโ€™s reclining position and sleeping face will bring you a sense of peace.

The last destination is the Patuxay Monument, which was built to memorize the abolition of the monarchy. Its construction was based on the design of the Arc in Paris. Here you will have a chance to stopover for photographs.

Day 2: Fly to Phonsavan in Xieng Khouang, Visit MAG UXO Visitor Information Centre & The Plain of Jars

Stop At: Phonsavan, Phonsavan, Xiangkhouang Province
In the morning, you will be escorted to the airport and fly to Phonsavan in Xieng Khouang. Your local guide will pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel for the check-in. Then your guide will lead you to visit the central market, where you will see many ingredients that you could have never seen.

Stop At: MAG UXO Visitor Information Centre, Main Street Near Bamboozle Restaurant and Bar, Phonsavan 0900 Laos
Next, you will visit MAG UXO Visitor Information Centre to learn about the clearance of the unexploded mines in Phonsavan and get close to the history of the tragic Vietnam War in the 20th century.

Stop At: The Plain of Jars, Phonsavan 0900 Laos
Afterward, you will head to a highlight of today's guided tour - the Plain of Jars. It is one of the marvelous heritages with unknown history โ€“ hundreds of 1500-year-old stone jars randomly scatter on the grassland, mottled and mysterious, offering wonderful scenery and interesting guesses to visitors.

Day 3: Muang Kham & Tham Piu Cave

Stop At: Muang Kham, Laos
After breakfast, your driver will take you to the next destination - Muong Kham by a comfortable vehicle. Your eyes will gulp the mesmerizing rural scenery and the beauty of tranquil nature. Also, you will enjoy the natural hot spring there. On the way to Muong Kham, you will stop to visit Thajok Tribal Village, the exploration of local culture and lifestyle will be an interesting experience.

Stop At: Tham Piu Cave, Xieng Khouang Laos
Afterward, you will continue to a historical site - Tham Piu Cave, a silent witness to the innocent 400 victims of the Vietnam War. Here you will also see some old photos and sculptures built to memorize them. After the visit, you will be escorted back to Phonsavanh.

Day 4: Drive to Luang Prabang, Visit Mount Phousi & Night Market

After breakfast, your guide will take you to visit a local market for an interesting exploration. Then you will be escorted to Luang Prabang by a private vehicle. Upon arrival, you will check in at your hotel with your driverโ€™s help.

Stop At: Mount Phousi, Main Street 5 Minutes Walk From The Tourist Information Center, Luang Prabang 0600 Laos
In the afternoon, you will explore the Phousi Mountain, a 100-meter mountain embraced by two famous rivers. Climbing atop the beautiful mountain, you will have a great distant view of the whole town.

In the evening, a ramble through the Night Market will round off your half-day tour. In the vigorous market, you will find many local textiles, jewelry, traditional medicines, and handicrafts, especially the colorful mulberry paper lanterns.

Afterward, an enjoyable Mekong River cruise will take you Pak Ou Caves, comprising two caves full of Buddha sculptures with centuries of history. The thousands of stone Buddha statues will leave you with a lifetime experience. En-route, you could also stop at Ban Xang Hai Village and sample some delicious local rice wine.

Stop At: Wat Aham, Kingkitsarath Road Old Quarter - Near Wat Visounnarath Temple, Luang Prabang 0600 Laos
The last destination today is Wat Aham near the Wat Visoun. It is a small but delicate temple with a red faรงade carved with golden patterns. Inside the temple, you will see many beautiful frescos portraying Buddhist percepts.

After breakfast, you will be guided to visit the 110-year-old Royal Palace Museum, which once the residence of Laotian emperors and rebuilt as a museum after abolishing the monarchy. It has a splendid faรงade combined with Laotian and French architectural styles and lots of royal antiques, such as weapons, statues, and paintings on exhibition.

After visiting the museum, you will explore the busy Phousi Market, the largest fresh market in Luang Prabang. You will find many tropical fruits and exotic ingredients that you might have never heard.

Stop At: Kuang Si Falls, Luang Prabang 06000 Laos
Next, you will head to Kuang Si Falls to enjoy the mesmerizing sceneries. This biggest waterfall in Luang Prabang falls from a 100-meter-cliff from a mountain and comprises many beautiful pools at the foot of the mountain. The clean water with gurgling sound and the blue pools form a fairy scene.

Stop At: Wat Xiengthong, Khem Khong, Luang Prabang, Laos
Then you will visit the 16th-century Wat Xieng Thong, a temple complex featuring a representative architectural style of Luang Prabang. The golden carvings and exquisite Buddha reliefs are fine and pretty. The glass mosaic paint depicting โ€˜the Tree of Lifeโ€™ is an impressive view to see.
