Itinerary

Day 1: Tbilisi City Tour

Stop At: Tsminda Sameba Cathedral, Elia Hill, Tbilisi Georgia
Trinity cathedral (1995-2004) the highest church in Georgia, where thousands of children are baptized every year.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Shardeni Street, Tbilisi Georgia
Walk to Shardeni Street and enjoy sightseeing of tiny sculptures scattered around the streets.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Sioni Cathedral Church, 3, Sioni Street Old Town, Tbilisi Georgia
Sioni cathedral, the former seat of patriarch, also stands here. The cathedral was first established in 6th-7th cc., but was destroyed and rebuilt several times throughout the centuries. The present cathedral dates back to 13th c.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Narikala Fortress, Tbilisi Georgia
Drive to Narikala fortress by cable car and enjoy the views of the city from the top. The fortress was first built in 4th c. AD and was known as Shuris Tsikhe (translates as Invidious Fortress). Present structures date from 7th c. and 12th c.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Abanotubani, Abano St, Tbilisi Georgia
Stroll down to the old city and visit Tbilisi Mosque, the only surviving one dating back to 18th c. Continue to Legvtakhevi (Fig ravine), visit waterfall nearby and take a walk towards Sulfur bathhouse district. Bathhouse is one of the oldest districts in Tbilisi. Some of the baths date back to 17th-19th cc. and are built on natural hot water springs. Take a walk on Meidan square, Sharden and Erekle II streets with lots of cafes, bars and pubs, souvenir shops and art galleries.

Day 2: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Ananuri - Gudauri

Stop At: Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Arsukidze, Mtskheta 3300 Georgia
Drive to Mtskheta - ancient capital of Georgia to visit UNESCO sites: Jvari monastery 6th c and Svetitskhoveli cathedral 11th c. Considered as Georgian architectural wonder, Svetitskhoveli preserves the robe of Jesus Christ.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Jvari Church, Mtskheta Georgia
Jvari monastery stands on the hill of the mountain that overlooks the city. You have the unique opportunity to see confluence of two rivers – Aragvi and Mktvari.
Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble, Georgian Military Highway Near Zhinvali Reservoir, Ananuri 1803 Georgia
Ananuri Architectural Complex 16-17th cc. The complex comprises churches, fortification and residential buildings and was one a seat local Dukes

Day 3: Gudauri - Stepantstminda (Kazbegi )- Tbilisi

Stop At: Gergeti Trinity Church, Near the Village of Gergeti, Stepantsminda Georgia
Full day exploration of high Caucasus Mountain. Reach 2395 m level on the Cross Pass, where we can make several stops to taste the mineral water and observe snowy peaks of mountains. Visit top of Mount Gergeti, Holy Trinity Church 14th c. standing on the top of Stephantsminda and at the same time under the foothills of magnificent peak Kazbegi (5033m)

Day 4: Tbilisi - Gori - Uplitsikhe - Borjomi - Akhaltsikhe

Stop At: Stalin Museum, 32 Stalin Avenue Stalin Park, Gori 1400 Georgia
The museum houses a collection of private items that belonged to the Soviet Dictator - Joseph Stalin.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Uplistsiche Cave Town, Kvakhvreli 15 km Eastwards to Town Gori, Gori 1423 Georgia
Uplistsikhe cave town – one of the oldest inhabited places of Georgia. It dates back to early Iron Ages. The town is cut out from rock with secret tunnels and passes connecting ancient chambers and halls.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Borjomi Central Park, 50, 9 Aprili Street, Borjomi 1200 Georgia
Borjomi – a town famous for mineral sparkling water. The artesian springs are fed by waters coming from glaciers and it rises to the surface without pumping. You can taste Borjomi mineral sparkling water and walk through Borjomi-Kharagauli national park – one of the largest protected areas in Europe that covers 5300 sq. km. The place is unique because of ecological and geographical zones, historical sites, and wildlife.

Day 5: Akhaltsikhe - Vardzia - Akhaltsikhe

Stop At: Rabati Castle, Akhaltsikhe Georgia
Rabati Castle is a Fortress in Akhaltsikhe, established in the 9th century and later rebuilt by the ottomans.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Vardzia, Erusheti Mountain, Aspindza 383770 Georgia
Vardzia is a rock-hewn complex on the left bank of the river Mtkvari. It was founded in the 12-13th cc, during the reign of Giorgi III and his daughter Queen Tamar. Initially planned as a town-fortress, the complex became a well-fortified monastery that had a significant role in a political, cultural and spiritual life of Georgia.
