About experience

The experience begins Sunday at your accommodation with an introduction to people and place.

Your days are laid out with your activities and down time to enjoy some leisure and relaxation if you wish. You can also opt into some extra activities if relaxing is not on your agenda.

During the tour you visit the world famous iconic Cliffs of Moher, literally a high point adjacent to the limestone region of The Burren. The cliffs and The Burren makes up the Geopark, recognised by UNESCO as an area of outstanding geological interest, and many other interesting aspects.

You also visit Doolin Cave, seeing the largest free hanging stalactite in Western Europe, and the 4th largest in the world.

A visit to The Aran Islands is an option, we know everyone is not happy on a sea crossing so itโ€™s an opt-in for one of the otherwise relaxation days.

You will walk over the extensive limestone landscape, these seemingly barren stretches of bare rock are in fact the home of a unique flora. The Burren flora is unrivaled in the world for its diversity and density. You will see Alpine, Mediterranean, Maritime and Arctic flowers all growing side by side. Numerous Orchids are to be found, a large range of butterflyโ€™s fliting around complete the scene.

There are two day hikes* in the tour, One is focused on archaeology and culture, the other is focused on landscape and scenery.

Options include:

Rock Climbing

Kayaking

Surfing

Caving

Mountain Biking

If you are feeling a little stiff or sore we can set you up for a pre/post activity massage.

You will visit iconic ancient sites and also out of the way less often seen ones, this makes this an insiderโ€™s view of The Burren.

The Burren includes many small villages, here we will experience much of the culture, including music and dancing. The Burren is famed for traditional music with many of the countryโ€™s best musicians hailing from the area.

By the time you depart on Sunday we know you will be planning your trip back. The Burren has an attraction which brings people back again and again.

Sample daily itinerary:
