Itinerary

Day 1: Kolkata or Delhi - Bagodgra - Darjeeling

Stop At: Bagdogra, Bagdogra, Darjeeling District, West Bengal
Begin your tour from Kolkata or Delhi with a flight to Darjeeling, nearest destination to reach, a land of breathtaking beautify crowned by the majestic Himalayas. After reaching Bagdogra airport collect your luggage from the belt and walk towards the exit of the airport and meet the executive who will be waiting for you with a board in which your name will be written. You will be escorted to your private vehicle and then will be taken to Darjeeling (approx. 2 hours 30 Minutes) known as โ€˜Queen of Hillsโ€™.

Pass By: Darjeeling, Darjeeling, Darjeeling District, West Bengal
Arrive in Darjeeling and check in to your hotel room. Rest of the day has been kept open to enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

Day 2: Darjeeling

Stop At: Tiger Hill Upper Darjeeling, Darjeeling 734101 India
The day start early morning around 4A.M with the guided tour of Tiger Hills to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mountain Kanchenjunga.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Ghoom Monastery, Tamang Buddhidt Monastery Rd, Darjeeling 734102 India
On the way back to Darjeeling visit 19th century Ghoom Monastery which is renoned for Tomo Geseh Rimphoce of Tibet. It is said that the monastery contains the statue of the Maitreye Buddha. The monastery has also preserved some of the rare handwritten Buddhist manuscripts.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Batasia Loop, Ghum, Darjeeling 734102 India
Stop briefly at The Batasia loop, which is a marvelous feat of engineering. At the loop the famous Darjeeling Himalayan Railway or Toy Train takes 360 turn. See the War Memorial constructed in the memory of brave sons of Darjeeling who died in different wars since 1947. After the visit return back to comfort of your hotel room and enjoy breakfast.

Stop At: Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Ghoom Museum, Ghoom Railway Station, Darjeeling 734102 India
Enjoy the toy train ride on the way back to Darjeeling, operation of the train entire depends on the weather conditions. Narrow Gauge trains are used in India to travel to hill stations. UNESCO has declared the DHR as a World Heritage Site. As per Guinness Railway Book referred to this train journey as one of the most spectacular in the world.

Stop At: Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Jawahar Parbat, Darjeeling 734101 India
After breakfast leave the hotel for visit of various important attractions in Darjeeling including Himalayan Zoological Park. The tour starts with the visit to the Zoological Park which is home to species such as the Asiatic black bear, cloud leopard, red panda, goral, blue sheep, civet, Himalayan tahr, jackal, Tibetan wolf, and a variety of deer, star tortoise, amphibians like the Himalayan newt, and birds like the myna, jungle fowl, parakeet etc.

Stop At: Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Jawahar Parvat, Darjeeling, Darjeeling 734101 India
Continue further to visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute to see the museum that house various details and memorabilia from the 1922 and 1924 Mount Everest expeditions and a statue of Tenzing Norgay, said to be the first person to climb to the highest point of Mount Everest, can be found on campus.

Tibetan Refugee Centre, a home away from home for the Tibetans in exile. The centre is known for its excellent carpets, woolen goods, woodwork, etc.

Day 3: Darjeeling - Gangtok

Stop At: Gangtok, Gangtok, East Sikkim, Sikkim
Embark on your scenic drive to Gangtok, arrive and check in at hotel, rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the facilities.

Day 4: Gangtok

Stop At: Rumtek Monastery, 24km from Gangtok, 737135 India
Start your sightseeing of this beautiful town. Visit Rumtek Monastery, the seat of His Holiness the Gyalwa Karmapa of the Kargyu sect of Buddhism. The monastery demonstrates the best of Tibetan architecture and is an almost replica of the original monastery in Tsurpu in Tibet. The monastery houses some of the rarest Buddhist religious art objects found in the world and is also a world renowned centre for Kargyu teachings.

Stop At: Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, South of Gangtok Centre, Gangtok 737101 India
Next visit Namgayal Institute of Tibetology which has a rare collection of antiques of Tibetan/Buddhist artefacts, iconography, cloth paintings and statues.

Stop At: Enchey Monastery Road, Enchey Monastery Rd, Chandmari, Gangtok, Sikkim 737101, India
Continue your sightseeing further and visit 200 years old Enchey Monastery which is an important seat of the Nyingampa order. The visit of tour will conclude with the stop at Director of Handloom and Handicrafts (closed on Sunday) which promotes traditional art & craft of Sikkim. It houses hand - woven woolen carpets, with traditional motifs, blankets, shawls and exquisitely carved 'Choktse' or table and many other gift items.
