Day 1: Bilbao

The World Heritage Committee of UNESCO declared the Hanging Bridge a world heritage monument in 2006. In fact, this is the first World Heritage monument in the Basque Country and the first World Industrial Heritage monument in Spain.

Day 2: Eastern Coast of Cantabria & Santander

Stop At: Castro Urdiales, Castro Urdiales, Cantabria
Our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Bilbao and drive you towards Santander.

In your way towards Santander you will enjoy some free time to walk around the old town of Castro Urdiales. This is a beautiful village on the Cantabria eastern coast.

Pass By: Santona, Santona, Cantabria
This is one of the most important fishing villages in Spain. It is also famous for its anchovy production and it has a lot of anchovy factories. You will love the port of Santoña and its gorgeous bay.

Stop At: Santander, Santander, Cantabria
You will enjoy a 3h city tour (walking and by car) to know the history of this fascinating city and to visit its most important tourist attractions:
- Cathedral
- Pereda Gardens
- Botin Centre
- Magdalena Palace
- Cabo Mayor Lighthouse

Day 3: Western Coast of Cantabria

Stop At: Museo de Altamira, Avda. Marcelino Sanz de Sautuola s/n, 39330, Santillana del Mar Spain
The Cave of Altamira was declared World Heritage in 1985 for its cave paintings. You will have the opportunity to visit the Museum of Altarmia and a replica of the Altamira cave, the so-called "neocave". It will be a regular visit and it is only in Spanish available.

Stop At: Santillana del Mar, Santillana del Mar, Cantabria
The driver will leave you some free time to visit Santillana and do some shopping around. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana (€3.00/person entrance fee)

Stop At: El Capricho de Gaudi, Barrio Sobrellano S/N, 39520, Comillas Spain
This building was constructed by Antonio Gaudí and it is one of the few constructions of this famous architect out of Cataluña. You will have the opportunity to join a guided visit in English.

Day 4: Covadonga and Oviedo

The holy cave of Covadonga is in fact a sanctuary. It is also one of the most important places of Asturias, as it represents the place where Christians won the first battle against Muslims that would lead to the reconquering of Spain.

Day 5: Western coast of Asturias - Santiago de Compostela

We will depart early towards Santiago de Compostela. On our way, we will profit to see some unforgettable landscapes like this one.

this is one of the nicest coastal villages in Asturias

Stop At: As Catedrais Beach, Ribadeo Spain
This coast of Galicia is a spectacle of nature by itself. If the tide is low and if there is availability (the visit must be booked in advance), we shall stop for a free visit to this wonderful place.

Stop At: Santiago de Compostela, Santiago de Compostela, Province of A Coruna, Galicia
In the afternoon you will meet your guide in Santiago de Compostela. He will show you the old town. You will love the history of this city and a holy place for Christianity.
