Day 3: Shanghait to Suzhou by High-speed Train, Tongli Water Town, Suzhou Old Town, Lingering Garden

This morning, you will be transferred to the railway station and take a high speed train to Suzhou. Upon arrival, another local guide will meet you and transfer you to the hotel.

After a short rest, your guide will take you to Tongli Water Town, an age-old but very well preserved water town with a history of more than 1,000 years. Forty-nine stone bridges in a variety of styles link the different parts of the town. Many old residential houses with typical features of South China built along the riverside. The entire ancient town is just a large scenic area for you to explore and your guide will show you around. Taking a traditional boat ride along the canal will add more fun to your trip.
