Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVAL YEREVAN

Stop At: Armenia, Armenia
Arrive in Yerevan, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Yerevan at Silachi Hotel.

Day 2: YEREVAN – KHOR VIRAP MONASTERY – NORAVANK MONASTERY – SMBATABERD FORTRESS – JEWISH CEMERTY – HERMON

Stop At: Khor Virap, Highway 11 - Near the village of Pokr Vedi Artashat, Lusarat 0612 Armenia
Heading to South of Armenia, visiting Khor Virap monastery and Mount Ararat.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Areni Wine Factory, Areni Armenia
On the way visit local winery in Areni village - wine tasting. Areni used to be one of the centers of wine production in Armenia.

Stop At: Noravank Monastery, NoravankMonastery Road Amaghu Valley, Areni 3604 Armenia
Trip to Noravank Monastery. A magnificent monument of medieval Armenian architecture, surrounded with gorgeous red rocks. An amazing architecture, polygonal masonry walls and dome are continuity of time.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Smbataberd Fortress, Yeghegis Armenia
Continue to Smbataberd fortress with off-road driving up hill. Fortress was built in a very advantageous position on the southern end of a ridge, guarded by steep cliffs on three of its sides.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Yeghegis Jewish Cemetery, Yeghegis Armenia
Then visiting 13th century Jewish cemetery which is located in Yeghegis gorge.
Duration: 30 minutes

Day 3: VAYOTS SAR VOLCANO – SHAKI WATERFALL – TATEV MONASTERY – GORIS

Stop At: Karmrashen, Armenia
Starting off-road driving to Vayots Sar volcanoMount Vayotssar the height of which is 2581 meters, is located in the province of Vayots Dzor, to the north-west from the village Herher. This is a cone that rises throughout the length of the ridge. The depth of the crater is about 125 meters. According to some historical data the last eruption of Vayotssar happened in 735 AD which was accompanied by a destructive and devastating earthquake.

Stop At: Shaki Waterfall, Sisian Armenia
After that join the main road to South and go to Sisian where we can see one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Armenia. Shaki is considered one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Armenia. It is located in Syunik region, which is famous for its historical and natural monuments.The waterfall is formed on the Shaki River, on the inflow of Vorotan that falls into a deep gorge from a height of 18 meters.

Stop At: Tatev Monastery, Highway 45, Tatev 3218 Armenia
Continue off-road to Tatev monastic complex enjoying spectacular view of the scenery around, passing Devil’s bridge. Group can take Tatever cable car which is the longest in the world recorded in Guinness record book.

Day 4: KHNDZORESK - JERMUK WATERFALL - AL LAKES - TSAPATAGH

Stop At: Khndzoresk Swinging Bridge, M12, Yerevan 0032 Armenia
Old Khndzoresk village cave dwelling is one of oldest village in Armenia, near Goris town. Short off-road down the village and caves where people leaved until late 20th century (short hiking around old village).
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Jermuk Waterfall, Jermuk Armenia
Continue on asphalt road to famous Jermuk Spa town, where we will see beautiful waterfall and the gallery of natural hot fizzy water.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Lake Sevan, Lake Sevan, Gegharkunik Province
Off-road driving to Lake Sevan, on the way will see Al Lakes.The lake is located on the border of Syunik and Kashatagh, at the height of 2947 m in the central part of the Heghats plateau, north-east of the village of Sarnakunk.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Tsapatagh 1611, Armenia
Continue on asphalt road to Tsapatagh village via Vardenis.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Day 5: KALAVAN – IJEVAN – YENOKAVAN (Yell extreme park) – YENOKAVAN

Stop At: Kalavan, Kalavan, Gegharkunik Province
Heading to Tavush province. Start off-road driving from Lake Sevan to Kalavan village.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Yenokavan 4008, Armenia
Heading to Yell Extreme Park on asphalt where the group can enjoy the OMEGA (optionally) and drive back to Yenokavan village.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 6: TSOVER LAKE – DEBED GORGE – RAFTING – AKHTALA FORTRESS – DZORAGET

Stop At: Rafting.am, Debed river Lori region, Armenia
Start the day with off-road driving to Lori region, visiting Tsover lake and having picnic near the lake, continue to Debed gorge and preparing for Rafting in Debed river.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Akhtala Monastery, Off 1st Raffi St., Akhtala Armenia
Continue to Akhtala monastery fortress, where we will see the monastery full of frescoes and a beautiful fortress, heading back to Dzoraget village.
Duration: 2 hours

Day 7: DEBED – HNEVANK MONASTERY – LORI FORTRESS – TRCHKAN WATERFALL - GYUMRI

Stop At: Hnevank Monastery, H24, Kurtan Armenia
Start the day on light off-road to Hnevank monastery for 12km.This splendid monastery, decorated with fine stone carving, was built originally in the 7th c., but totally rebuilt by lord Smbat of the then Georgian but later Armenian Orbeli family, ancestor of the Armenian princes of Syunik, in 1144, as a Georgian inscription around the drum attests. On the way will stop in a beautiful place for coffee break.

Stop At: Lori Castle, Stepanavan Armenia
After that we will visit the 7th century Lori fortress. Its Ruins are located 5 km. to north-east of Stepanavan regional centre, on the left bank of River Dzoraget. The fortress was founded by David Anhoghin approximately in 1005-1020s. then drive back to the main road. Heading to west via Spitak city.

Stop At: Trchkan Waterfall, Sarapat Armenia
On the way to Gyumri will turn off from the main road and start off-road driving with river crossing for 15 km to Trchkan waterfall, the highest waterfall in Armenia.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Gyumri, Gyumri, Shirak Province
Continue on dirt road to Gyumri. It is the second largest city in Armenia and the capital of Shirak Province in Northern Armenia.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Day 8: ALPHABET PARK – GARNI TEMPLE – GARNI GORGE – YEREVAN DEPARTURE

Stop At: Armenian Alphabet Monument, Artashavan Armenia
After short city tour in Gyumri, heading to Yerevan. On the way will stop at the best and famous bakery in Aparan town for coffee break. Continue our journey to Armenian Alphabet Park that was built in honor to the 1600th anniversary of the creation of Armenian alphabet.

Stop At: Garni Gorge, Route Below the Garni Temple, Garni 2215 Armenia
Heading to oldest standing building in Armenia since 1st century Garni temple and off-road driving to Garni Gorge that is very popular among tourists visiting this place to see the natural rocks of amazing beauty, which are known as the “Symphony of Stones” or “Basalt Organ.”
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Yerevan, Yerevan
Drive back to Yerevan and transfer to airport.
