Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Paro (2250m) and transfer to Thimphu (2350m)

Pass By: Thimphu Chorten (Memorial Chorten), Thimphu Bhutan
After arrival in Paro meet our representative and then have your lunch at Paro. After lunch carry out your sightseeing program visiting the Rinpung Dzong which is currently used as an administration centre and school for monks. Later depart to Thimphu,which is made up of just three lines of shops and is the only capital in the world without traffic lights. Check in at hotel. Within the evening visit Handicrafts Emporium, this has all types of Bhutanese handicrafts for sale.

Arrive Paro and drive to Thimphu. Enjoy the scenery of Paro river and Paro valley.

Day 2: Thimphu to Punakha (1310m)

Pass By: Punakha Dzong, Punakha 13001 Bhutan
Early in the morning after breakfast drive towards Punakha crossing over Dochula Pass (3140m) for about 1 & half hours. Dochula offers the spectacular view of eastern Himalayas in the clear weather. On the way take a short hike through beautiful rice fields to Chimmi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to Drukpa Kuenly, also known as โ€œthe Divine Madmanโ€. Later in the afternoon visit the beautiful Punakha Dzong located at the confluence of the Pho-chu and Mo-chu river. In the evening drive to the hotel.



Pass By: Dochula Pass, Thimphu Bhutan
Dochula Pass offers majestic Himalayan panorama of the eastern Himalayas. There are 108 chortens at the pass.

Pass By: Chimi Lhakhang Temple, Punakha Bhutan
Chimi Lhakhang is the fertility temple dedicated to Drukpa Kunley.

Day 3: Punakha to Paro (2250m)

Pass By: Dochula Pass, Thimphu Bhutan
After early breakfast, drive from Punakha to Paro re-crossing Dochula Pass. Stop at Thimphu for lunch. Then drive further for Paro and visit the Rinpung Dzong which continues its age-old function as the seat of the district administration, district court and the monastic body. Later drive for the hotel at Paro.

Day 4: Paro โ€“ Hike to Taktsang Monastery

Stop At: Paro Taktsang, Taktsang Trail BT, Paro Bhutan
On fourth day visit the spectacular Taktsang Monastery, early in the morning after breakfast drive towards the base camp of Taktsang and then commence the hike up to the Taktsang Monastery-Tigerโ€™s Nest. Pay visit to Taktsang Monastery which provides the mesmerizing view of Paro Valley. Afterwards, hike back to the road point then drive to Kyichu Lakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines in Bhutan. Also visit Rinpung Dzong which continues its age-old function as the seat of the district administration, district court and the monastic body. Later drive back to Hotel.
