Itinerary of your trip 4 Days Multi Activities In Puerto Varas - Reloncavi, The 1St

  • Day 1 Kayaking On The Petrohue River
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Kayaking On The Petrohue River

      - 8h00 Transfer to our base in Ensenada, where we prepare our equipment.

      - The luggage that you do not want to take to the expedition can be left safely in Ensenada.

      - 10h00 We paddle the lower section of the Petrohue River, 20 km of calm waters. Stop for lunch on a beach on the way down.

      - The river takes us to Reloncavi fjord.

      - 17h00 We arrive at our camping place for tonight, a remote beach on the peninsula of Rollizo,

      If we are lucky, we may spot some dolphins.

      - Time to meet our hosts for the night. Juan Carlos and Yolanda have been living here for three generations and will be in charge of our dinner tonight.

      - To make sure they have an appetite and stretch their legs a bit, we will take a short walk in search of a viewpoint that offers us another perspective of the fjord.

      - Time to enjoy a traditional dinner of local lamb and home-grown vegetables by themselves.

      - Overnight in tents on the beach.

  • Day 2 On The Road To The South!

      On The Road To The South!

      - 7h00 Breakfast

      - We pack our kayaks as in an authentic expedition, each person carries his own equipment in their kayak.

      - In front of us we have the Yates volcano, and on our sides (East and West) valleys, glaciers like Cochamo also known as the โ€œYosemite of Chileโ€.

      - We make a stop at a small beach to eat our lunch (lunch box).

      - In the afternoon, we arrive at the Parque Factorรญa, 1.700 private hectares dedicated to the located between the fjord and the Alerce Andino National Park.

      - We set up our camp next to the refuge, a place with an impressive view of the fjord.

      Tonight we have a hot shower...

      - Dinner at the refuge prepared by our guides.

      - Night in the refuge.

  • Day 3 Alerces Forest And Millenary Lagoons
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Alerces Forest And Millenary Lagoons

      - 6h30: Breakfast

      - We start walking early and light, today we go in search of hidden lagoons in the mountains.

      A complete immersion in the โ€œSelva Valdivianaโ€, discovering local species and crossing a zone full of Alerces

      trees, declared a natural monument in 1976. These trees (fitzroya cupressoides) are among the oldest in the world, the oldest in Chile is supposed to be 5,000 years old.

      To get to the Millenarian Lagoon we walk along the fjord slope, after 8 km of ascent (800 m of slope) we arrive to the the place where we can rest and swim.

      We will enjoy this day surrounded by granite walls and native forest and with the possibility of swimming in waters hardly more pristine waters.

      Special lunch prepared by our guides with the help of the whole group.

      At the end of the afternoon back to the refuge.

  • Day 4 Kayaking Back To Back To Civilization
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Kayaking Back To Back To Civilization

      - After breakfast, we prepare our kayaks.

      - We paddle north towards the Cochamo Valley.

      - We have lunch on a beach during the trip.

      - Depending on the tide conditions, we can go up the Cochamo River for a couple of kilometers  

      before meeting our driver.

      - Transfer back to Puerto Varas
