Stop At: Thingvellir National Park, Thingvellir Iceland

รžingvellir (Thingvellir) is a historic site and national park in Iceland, east of Reykjavรญk. It's known for the Alรพing (Althing), the site of Iceland's parliament from the 10th to 18th centuries. On the site are the รžingvellir Church and the ruins of old stone shelters. The park sits in a rift valley caused by the separation of 2 tectonic plates, with rocky cliffs and fissures like the huge Almannagjรก fault.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Gullfoss, White River, Blaskogabyggd 801 Iceland

Gullfoss waterfall is listed as one of the top 10 waterfalls in the world by the World of Waterfalls. The mighty Hvรญtรก (White River) is a glacial river flowing southward straight from Langjรถkull (Long Glacier) giving Gullfoss an awesome flow rate.

Stop At: Geysir, Geysir, South Region

A favorite stop along the Golden Circle is the highly active Geysir Hot Spring Area with boiling mud pits, exploding geysers and the lively Strokkur which spouts water 30 metres (100 ft) into the air every few minutes. The newly opened Geysir Center offers exhibits and informative presentations year round.

Stop At: Efsti-Dalur 2, Iceland

In Efstidalur you will get a unique and different experience. Right in the middle of the Golden Circle, you get a glance of the farm life in Iceland. This family farm has opened up for tourists and offers a variety of products straight from the farm, such as the famous ice cream, skyr and feta cheese. The restaurant also offers beef from the farm and other local food.

Stop At: Skogafoss, Skogar Iceland

Is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country with a width of 25 meters and a drop of 60 m. Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is normally visible on sunny days.

Stop At: Seljalandsfoss, Hvolsvollur 861 Iceland

This waterfall of the river Seljalandsรก drops 60 meters over the cliffs of the former coastline. It is possible to walk behind the waterfall. 500 meters to the North West there is a another beautiful waterfall, Gljรบfurbรบi, that is worth the walk.

Stop At: Glacier Lagoon, Skaftafell National Park Route 1, Jokulsarlon 781 Iceland

Jรถkulsรกrlรณn is a large glacial lake, on the edge of Vatnajรถkull National Park, it developed into a lake after the glacier started receding from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. It is now 1.5 kilometres away from the oceanโ€™s edge and covers an area of about 18 km2. It recently became the deepest lake in Iceland, at over 248 metres. It is considered as one of the natural wonders of Iceland.

It is known as one of Icelands most beautiful places, with a magnificent contrast of white glaciers, black sands, and green meadows. The area of Skaftafell is one of the crown jewels of Vatnajรถkull National Park and provides visitors with an array of hiking trails. A perfect place to witness the variety of natural wonders that the national park has to offer. Skaftafell is a must-see for all visitors of the Vatnajรถkull Region.
