  • Day 1 Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

      Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

      Start your 3-day adventure with an early pickup from your accommodation within Nairobi or airport. You will make a scheduled stop at the view point on the side of the escarpment to enjoy the view of the Rift valley floor from a birds eye view. The rift valley system was formed 5 million years ago and the rift runs from the red sea through Ethiopia and Kenya and Tanzania. The rift valley is an active volcanic area and has some of the most interesting features including more than 8 lakes, dormant and active volcanic mountains and hotsprings and geysers like the Olkaria geothermal wells and Lake Bogoria geysers. You can actually see the volcanic Mt Suswa and Mt Longonot from this high place with their evergreen craters and the undulating green rift valley floor. The view from here is just amazing. Make sure to take as many photos from here as you can and finally reach Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenyaโ€™s premier game reserve. arriving at Masai Mara for lunch. The afternoon game drive at 4:00pm allows for the spotting of magnificent wildlife in the park ranging from the big cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs to other large mammals like rhinos, elephants, and wildebeest.

      Maasai Mara National Reserve

      Spend the full day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five. You will have picnic lunches in the Reserve as you scale the Mara beauty and resident Hippos and crododiles sitted at the banks of Mara river. Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserveโ€™s western escarpment. Its regarded as the jewel of Kenyaโ€™s wildlife Viewing areas. The annual wildebeestโ€™s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five. The phenomenal wildebeest migration which is a spectacular event only seen in Maasai mara is the seventh wonder of the world. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner.
