Day 1 Day 1: Pretoria To Kruger National Park

Day 1: Pretoria To Kruger National Park

Leaving the city of Pretoria behind, we travel via the dramatic panoramic region with sweeping views of the Mpumalanga province to Hazyview, a green sub-tropical farming town on the outskirts of the central Kruger National Park. After settling in, we are entertained by the brightly dressed Shangaan tribe as they educate us about their culture through song and dance around an open fire.
Day 2 Day 2: Kruger National Park

Day 2: Kruger National Park

This morning we are up early and board open 4x4 safari vehicles with resident guides for a full day game driving in South Africas famed Kruger National Park. This magnificent park is a whopping 19,485 sq km. Once we enter the gates we spend the day traversing the parks tracks and roads to seek out the Big 5 - lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo, along with the other interesting animals, prolific bird species and reptiles that make Kruger their home. We pause for lunch at a local resort inside the park before continuing our game drive. Later in the afternoon, we return to our camp and enjoy an evening around the open fire.

Day 3: Hazyview To Tshipise

This morning we travel through the countryside dotted with baobab trees to Tshipise, a small town in northern Limpopo province. Our campsite for the night is adjacent to the rocky outcrops of the Honnet Nature Reserve. Home to natural hot springs, this afternoon is yours at leisure to soak in these amazing warm spring pools or partake in a small venture to the mountainous rock pools.

Day 4: Tshipise To Bulawayo Area

Get your passport ready, today we are departing South Africa and cross into Zimbabwe en route to Bulawayo. Zimbabwes second-largest city has strong colonial influences and offers wide tree-lined streets it is said an ox-wagon could easily turn inside on of these and quaint architecture. Our camp for the evening is situated in a leafy suburb on the outskirts of the city and close to the Matobos area which is famed for its historical, geological and natural heritage.

Day 5: Matobo National Park

Rising early, we board our open 4x4 safari vehicle with our local guide who will take us to the famous Matobo National Park - known for the Matobo Hills, a range of balancing rock formations created by the erosion of the granite plateau. This park is famed for having the largest concentration of black and white rhino in Africa and provided the conditions are right, our local guides will lead us on foot in search for these magnificent creatures on a wilderness walk. Today you have opportunity to relax by the poolside at camp or partake in a full day excursion here to view the ancient bushman paintings and the grave of Cecil John Rhodes perched on the top of Worlds View an epic 360-degree view of the national park.
Day 6 Day 6: Bulawayo To Livingstone, Zambia

Day 6: Bulawayo To Livingstone, Zambia

Another border crossing today, moving on from Bulawayo we continue north passing through Victoria Falls town before crossing into Zambia. Once we are in Livingstone, a visit to the mighty Victoria Falls is included this afternoon. The Victoria Falls constitutes one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. The Local people call it Mosi-oa-Tunya - The smoke that thunders due to the spray which reaches over 20km high in peak flow. In the afternoon we will be briefed on the many optional activities in the area by the camps booking office. Its here you will purchase your activities of choice for the following day.
Day 7 Day 7: Livingstone

Day 7: Livingstone

Today is a free day to explore this adventure town to its fullest or opt for an optional activity. Livingstone has something for everyone adventurers, adrenalin junkies and explorers. If its a relaxing time you want, kick back at the camps pool deck overlooking the mighty Zambezi River as it flows to and over the sheer drop of the Victoria Falls.
Day 8 Day 8: Livingstone To Kasane, Botswana

Day 8: Livingstone To Kasane, Botswana

Have your passports ready again, today we leave Zambia behind and travel the short distance across to Botswana. After border formalities we make our way to Kasane town, the gateway to Chobe National Park. We take a sunset Fish Eagle river cruise on the Chobe River this afternoon - a great opportunity to see the many elephants and possibly hippo and buffalo coming to the river to bathe and drink.

Day 9: Kasane To Elephant Sands, Nata

We rise early to head out and explore Chobe National Park in an open safari vehicle for a morning game drive. If you missed anything on the river cruise, here is your chance before we make our way to Elephant Sands campsite in Nata. This campsite is famous for its visitors as there are no fences and the wildlife roam freely. Many groups are lucky enough to see the elephants come right into camp.
Day 10 Day 10: Nata To Maun

Day 10: Nata To Maun

Today we are making our way to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta and the tourist capital of Botswana. After a stop in the town, we make our way to our camp for the night. Take a dip in the camps pool and enjoy a well-needed sundowner at the open bar. Tonight we prepare for our overnight journey into the Delta for the following morning.

Day 11: Maun To Okavango Delta

This morning we leave our camp in Maun and make our way by 4x4 open safari vehicle through villages and Mopane tree forests to the Mokoro station. From here we are met by our local Tswana Polers who will be our guides for our overnight excursion.Boarding our Mokoro dugout canoe we traverse through the myriads of waterways with swaying grasses and dotted with Lilly pads to our wilderness campsite. After settling into our tented accommodated, we join the local guides for afternoon educational wilderness walk to learn the ins and outs of this unique place. When night falls, we relax at our camp listening to the wilderness unfold under an African starry sky.
Day 12 Day 12: Okavango Delta To Maun

Day 12: Okavango Delta To Maun

Today, if time allows, we take a morning walk with the local guides before indulging in a scrumptious breakfast - made from the local Tswana team. Bags packed, we board our mokoros and take a slow-paced mokoro ride through the labyrinth of lagoons of the delta to the polers station. We aim to return to camp for lunchtime which gives you time to do the optional flight over the Delta or simply relax by the pool for the afternoon.

Day 13: Maun To Omaheke Region, Namibia

With passports ready, we exit Botswana skirting the northern reaches of the Kalahari Desert into Namibia. Our camp is situated a few km from the border in the Omeheke Region. Here in the seemingly barren land, we meet the Kalahari Bushman and join them on a guided walk to learn their unique culture and how they survived over 100,000 years living off the land.

Travelling west, we make our way to Windhoek, the largest city and the capital of Namibia. This city is characterised by a proliferation of German-style buildings and eateries. Tonight we have the opportunity to visit this citys most famous restaurant - Joes Beer House.

Day 15: Windhoek To Etosha National Park

Heading north from Windhoek we are making our way to Etosha National Park. Famous for its salt pan, which is seasonally full of water but also for the specially managed waterholes that sustain hundreds of mammals and birdlife throughout the year. Entering the gates, keep your eyes peeled for the resident wildlife including lion, rhino, elephants and giraffes as we game drive to our camp located inside the park for the next two nights.
Day 16 Day 16: Etosha National Park

Day 16: Etosha National Park

At 22, 270 sq km, Etosha National Park is home to over 114 mammal species and over 340 bird species that we eagerly search for on our full days game drive. Just before nightfall, we return to camp, make sure you get a good spot at the floodlit watering hole, where you may stand a chance of seeing a range of night visitors including the elusive leopard. Some say this is the highlight of their trip to Namibia.

Departing Etosha National Park, game driving as we exit, we turn south and head toward Damaraland region. We camp at the eerie Spitzkoppe with giant boulder-like rock formations that create a spectacular view. The rock changes colour at sunset to a deep, intense red colour which makes for some incredible photography.

We spend the next two nights on the Atlantic coastal town of Swakopmund. Swakopmund is described as the adventure capital of Namibia, offering some great desert based optional activities. Anyone not keen on seeking adventure, this town has some great shops, restaurants, museums or simply walk around and enjoy the old german architecture and enjoy the cafe culture this town has to offer.

A free day to Swakopmund. Why not try the sandboarding, quad biking, deep sea fishing, sky diving or a township tour to explore the unique cultural side of this quaint seaside town.

Continuing south, we traverse down through spectacular sheer rocky cliffs of the Kuiseb and Gaub passes to the Tropic of Capricorn. Its here, we stop for a photo opportunity en route to our bush camp for the evening located in the Khomas region near a small town of Solitaire.

We wake up early this morning and head inside the national park to trek to the top of famous Dune 45.After breakfast, we continue deeper inside the park for a nature walk to dead vlei which lies among the giant sand dunes - an incredible glimpse into Namibias natural environment. The shifting colours of the desert sun offer incredible photographic opportunities.

Today we drive south through barren and rocky landscapes to the worlds second largest canyon. Fish River Canyon is one of the natural wonders of Africa, some 500m deep and over 160km long.

Today we continue south toward the camp overlooking the Orange River on the Namibian side. This afternoon is free where you can relax by the river or take an optional canoe safari on the Orange River.

Today we cross the border to South Africa and head through the Namaqualand to our picturesque camp based near the Olifants River. A wine tasting option activity is must for our last night on tour together.
