      Bangkok Temples & The Grand Palace

      Today you will enjoy a private guided tour of Bangkok. Start with the dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace. Itโ€™s undoubtedly the cityโ€™s most famous landmark. You will see the Palace, which is used for many different occasions, and you will see The Coronation Hall, the Funeral Hall, the Royal Guest House, and the mysterious, famous Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), the most revered Buddha image in Thailand. Continue to Wat Pho, which is one of Bangkokโ€™s oldest and largest temples. Wat Pho was built by King Rama I about 200 years ago and houses the gigantic, gold-plated Reclining Buddha image. This unique image is 49 meters long and 12 meters high with beautifully inlaid mother-of-pearl soles. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will walk to the pier and take a water taxi to visit Wat Arun, which is also called "The Dawn Temple". Then return to the hotel.  

      Good to know

      Most temples & palaces in Thailand are sacred place, so youโ€™ll need to respect the strict dress code in place. Youโ€™ll need to wear pants or a dress/skirt that extends well past your knees, and a top that fully covers your shoulders. (No shorts, mini-skirts, short skirts, tight fitting trousers, tights, see-through shirts, culottes, or quarter-length trousers, sleeveless shirts, or vests and sandals (without ankle or heel straps), etc.

      The Grand Palace does offer a clothes rental service in which you can borrow some stylish trousers and/or tops for a refundable 200 baht deposit from an office near the entrance. Hang onto your claim ticket, however, as you will need it to get that deposit back.

      Depart early morning for a 2-hour drive to the Maeklong Railway Market (also known as Rom Hub Market). It has a train running through the middle of it several times a day. Right down the middle and close enough to touch. Only in Thailand! Marvel at each seller quickly moves their wares via ingenious sets of easily-movable containers to avoid the coming train, once the train has passed๏ผŒ itโ€™s back to business as usual. Your second stop is the 100-year-old Damnoen Saduak Floating Market located 100 km (62 mi) from Bangkok, one of Thailandโ€™s most famous attractions. Day-in and day-out from about 8 am to about 11 am, the Floating Market is routinely crowded with hundreds of vendors and purchasers floating in their small rowing boats selling and buying or exchanging their goods. You will have a chance to take a ride on a long-tail boat to get the real sense of a floating village. After the long tail boat cruise around the village, you will stop at a transit point where you can choose to further explore the floating market by a 4-seat boat or stroll around by the riverโ€™s banks. 

      ยญ This afternoon, you will take your internal flight to the historical and colorful city of Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai, located in the north of Thailand, with its lovely Lanna temples, charming traditions, unique food, family-friendly attractions and stunning setting is a gem in Thailandโ€™s northern hills. Thereโ€™s so much for tourists to do here, from cultural exploration to adventurous treks and food tours.       Chiang Mai is a shopping paradise with its famous arts and crafts. Nothing beats shopping for a bargain more than in the famous Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. The Night Bazaar, on the east side of the old, walled city, is approximately 1 km long. This evening, you can explore the night bazaar where you will find many handicrafts and souvenirs along the street; plus, you will find many mobile food stalls to experience unique, local foods.

      Your morning half-day Chiang Mai old-city, temple tour takes you on an unforgettable drive through many different parts of the city. Your tour includes Wat Pra Singh which is one of over 200 ancient Buddhist temples located around the city and one of the most well-regarded examples of Lanna architecture. The temple of Wat Chedi Luang is the site of an enormous pagoda, originally 280 feet high, which was partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1545. At the top, rest and relax while marveling at the panoramic views of the city of Chiang Mai.

      Enjoy your free time until your guide comes and escorts you to the airport for your flight to Hanoi.       We will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi at 16:00 and walk to Hanoiโ€™s Old Quarter - a place not to miss any tour in Hanoi. The "Trแปฉng Vแป‹t Lแป™n" (balut), perhaps the most notorious street food served in Vietnam, will first surprise you!

      After balut, youโ€™ll continue trying local beer and nem tai, nem chua (pig skin stuff), and listen to exciting stories behind these specialties. Cha Ca (grilled fish) - a little touch of Hanoi will finally be the main dinner and we will end this Hanoi food trip with a cup of coffee at Hanoiโ€™s Railway coffee street. The tour finished at around 20:30.

      Today youโ€™ll jump into Hanoiโ€™s sights and sounds on a tour that covers all the essentials. Youโ€™ll visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes the Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minhโ€™s former stilt-house residence, The Hoa Lo Prison, The One Pillar Pagoda and The Temple of Literature, which, dating back to 1070, is Vietnamโ€™s oldest university.

      After lunch, you will explore the enthralling Museum of Ethnology, which contains an extensive display of life-size structures dedicated to Vietnamโ€™s 54 ethnic minorities. Next, enjoy an hour-long cyclo ride winding through the narrow, chaotic streets of the Old Quarter - a must for any visitor to Hanoi! The day finishes with a traditional performance of the famous Vietnamese Water Puppets Show.

      Wake up early this morning to catch the sunrise over the bay with a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck. Continue cruising and you can choose either kayak or traditional rowing boat to around discovering local life on the waters. Disembark at Tuan Chau International Passenger Port at around 11:00, where your guide and driver will wait for you and drive you to Hanoi airport for your onward flight (arrive at the airport at around 1:30 pm).

      This morning you will be picked up at your accommodation in Siem Reap to begin your unforgettable Angkor Wat Tour. You will be transferred by private car to the West Gate of Angkor Thom โ€“ undiscovered by mass tourist.Your tour will include visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Angkor Period (AD 802-1432). Visit the breathtaking Bayon Temple, one of the most popular sites in Angkor complex with over 200 giant faces carved into its 54 towers. The temple was designed to represent the 54 provinces of the Khmer Empire and it still carries a completely majestic atmosphere. You will also visit Baphuon Temple,Phimeanakas Temple,the Terrace of the Elephant,the Terrace of the Leper King,and Royal Palace Temple.

      In the afternoon, you will visit Angkor Wat Temple, one of the seven wonders of the world. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. View sunset at Phnom Bakheng before heading back to your accommodation.

      During the visit of Angkor Wat, Baphuon and Banteay Srey temple โ€“ visitors should wear Shirts or blouse covering shoulders and arms and long skirts or trousers covering legs. (No miniskirt or short trousers). Children under twelve years old are not allowed to climb up this tower. It will be closed on the Buddhist Sabbath Days, the Buddhist religious days, four days a month in accordance with the Lunar Calendar.
