Day 1 Arrive In San Pedro De Atacama - Meet The Salt Range

Arrive In San Pedro De Atacama - Meet The Salt Range

Welcome at the Calama airport, passing through the city of Calama, which is at an altitude of 2,300 m.a.s.l. We have 100 km of the road passing the Domeyko mountain range at an altitude of 3.750 m.a.s.l.

Arrival at San Pedro de Atacama and accommodation at the hotel.

In the afternoon, we will depart in a westerly direction. We will make a first stop at the Likan Antai where we will observe the Salar de Atacama basin and its Oasis Ayllus, then we will continue south through the Cordillera de Sal, where we will visit different solid formations of salt and clay, salt mines, and viewpoints, and finally, we will make 30 to 40 minutes trekking until we arrive at a big dune and wait for the unique sunset with a view of the Andes Mountains.

Finally, we return to the hotel approximately at 8:00 p.m.

Day 2 Start The Adventure At Valle Del Arcoiris – Float At The Lagunas De Baltinache

Start The Adventure At Valle Del Arcoiris – Float At The Lagunas De Baltinache

Today we head northwest through the Domeyko mountain range until we reach Hierbas Buenas, an area of rock art. Here we will make a short trek of 30 minutes to arrive at the Arcoiris Valley, a small tectonic fault with different colors due to the oxidation of different minerals. We continue with a 30 to 40-minute hike and then return to San Pedro de Atacama by the same route.

In the afternoon, we head southwest until we arrive at the Baltinache Lagoons, where we can float due to the high salt concentration.

Finally, return to San Pedro de Atacama

Day 3 On Our Way To Bolivia - Enjoy The Spectacular View Of Laguna Colorada

On Our Way To Bolivia - Enjoy The Spectacular View Of Laguna Colorada

On this day we will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the border at Hito Cajones, change of vehicle, and entry to Bolivia.

On our way there we will make a stop at Laguna Verde, located at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano, and then visit the Sol de Mañana Geysers, the hot springs of Polques, where we can enjoy a bath.

We continue to the Dali Desert, and then we will go to Laguna Colorada, where we will observe numerous pink flamingos.

Finally, arrival at the lodge.

We will pass through the small Salar de Chiguana and the Siloli Desert, where we will find the famous Stone Tree and other eroded rocks, an oasis in the middle of nowhere.

Arrival at the town of San Juan, on the edge of the Salar de Uyuni.

Day 5 Infinite White Desert: Uyuni Salt Flats

Infinite White Desert: Uyuni Salt Flats

Today is the day, we leave in the direction of the infinite white desert: the Salar de Uyuni. And we will also visit Incahuasi Island, where giant cacti live.

We continue to the town of Colchani where salt is processed, and visit the Train Cemetery.

Discover The Historical City Of Potosí - Drive To Sucre

In the morning we will depart towards the city of Potosi, where we will have lunch and visit the Casa de la Moneda, one of the most important museums in the country.

Afterward, we will drive to the beautiful city of Sucre, also known as the "white city". And enjoy the afternoon with a calm walk or just relaxing at the hotel.

Visit the historical center and the ASUR Museum, where we will find indigenous art.

Afterward, visit "La Casa de La Libertad", where the Declaration of Independence of Bolivia was signed.

Today we will transfer you to the airport for your local flight to La Paz. Once we arrive, we will visit the different important areas of the city, such as Plaza Murillo, the Government Palace, and the Legislative Palace and then we will go up the cable car, and enjoy a fantastic view of the city built between mountains.

Afterward, we will walk through the traditional sector, where the popular Street of the Witches is located, an area where amulets, objects, and plants are sold to fight evil spirits and to perform rituals of the Andean cosmovision rituals.

We will end the tour with a visit to the Valley of the Moon, a beautiful place located near the city of La Paz, where erosion has achieved, after many years, marvelous rocky forms that give us the sensation of being in a real lunar landscape.

Day 9 Enigmatic Tiwanaku Culture - Drive To Copacabana

Enigmatic Tiwanaku Culture - Drive To Copacabana

We will leave in the morning to visit the Spiritual and Political Center of the enigmatic Tiwanaku culture.

The archaeological remains that are found in the place express the great knowledge and technology that the Tiwanaku people possessed. They worshipped the Sun God "Wiracocha" and Mother Earth "Pachamama," facts that we can see reflected in their constructions.

Among these, the most outstanding are the Sun Gate, the different monoliths, the temples of Kalasasaya, Akapana, and the Semisubterranean Temple. To learn about the history of these magnificent and mysterious ruins is an experience that will leave a lasting impression.

After lunch, we will depart to Copacabana and take a boat to Isla del Sol.

We will begin the day exploring the island, first, we will appreciate the ruins of the Pilkokaina Palace, also called Temple of the Sun, which is an important archaeological site of Inca origin, we will observe the interesting systems of cultivation terraces, find a beautiful stone fountain known as "the fountain of life" and walk the staircases of Yumani.

Afterward, we will return to Copacabana and visit the Cathedral, where the Virgen Morena is located.

Finally, return to La Paz.

Live The Environment Changes: From Cold To Warm In Coroico

Today we will leave for Coroico. In the first stage, we will ascend to the Cordillera Real de los Andes, reaching an altitude of 4640 m.a.s.l, and after 3 hours we will descend to an altitude of 1150 m.a.s.l.

In the second stage, we will observe how the landscape changes from a cold environment to a warm one, with lots of vegetation and abundant rivers. We will hike along the route of death and

observe the waterfalls up close.

Finally, return to La Paz.
