Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Bahir Dar and Visit Bahir Dar

Stop At: Lake Tana, Ground floor from Blue Nile Hotel, Bahir Dar 1000 Ethiopia
Early in the morning fly to Bahir dar, set out for a bought trip on Lake Tana to see beautiful island monasteries and their Valuable treasures which include biblical wall paintings, ancient illuminated parchment books, superb crosses etc.
Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Blue Nile Falls, Amhara , Region Ethiopia
In the afternoon drive to magnificent Blue Nile falls; itโ€™s about 400 meters wide with full flood

Day 2: Drive to Gondar and make a city tour

Stop At: Fasil Ghebbi, Gonder Ethiopia
After breakfast drive about 2-3 hours to north Gondar. Then visit the Royal enclosure with its magnificent castles dated from the 17th century (listed as a world heritage sites)

Stop At: Debre Berhan Selassie Church, Gondar, Ethiopia, Gonder Ethiopia
the remarkable church of Debrebirihan Selassie with it beautiful wall and ceiling paintings, the bath of king Fasiladas (which still go on today. Once a year itโ€™s filled with water for the Timket celebration.)

Day 3: Fly to Axum and City tour in Axum

Stop At: The Ruins of Aksum, Axum Ethiopia
Today you explore Axum. Axum is undoubtedly one of the most important and spectacular ancient site in sub Saharan Africa. Register to world Heritage Site. visit the famous stele park with its ancient huge monolithic obelisks, ruind palaces of different Axumite kings including that of the ruined palace the queen of sheba, ancient stone inscriptions, tombs, the small but rich archeological site museum of Axum and the church of st.mary of zion where the home of original Arc of covenant.

Day 4: Fly to Lalibela and Visit Lalibela

Stop At: Rock-Hewn Churches of Lalibela, Lalibela 1260 Ethiopia
Catch a morning flight to Lalibela. We will pick you from the airport and take you to the first compounds of Lalibela rock-hewn churches, and afternoon you will visit the second compounds of Lalibela rock-hewn churches.

Day 5: Visit the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela

Stop At: Rock-Hewn Churches of Lalibela, Lalibela 1260 Ethiopia
An early morning after breakfast, you will be at one of the main of the churches of Lalibela to attend the religious ceremony where many Local people gather on Saturdays and Sundays to attend the Sabbath Festivity and say their prayers. Then proceed to Lalibela Airport for your return to Addis Ababa

Day 6: Fly from Addis to Arbaminch

Stop At: Dorze Village, Arba Minch Ethiopia
Form Arbaminch precede driving to Dorze, set in the highlands above Arba Minch. The Dorze people are known for their tall beehive-like houses and their fine cotton weaving. You will visit the village and learn about the daily lives of these industrious people. If today is market day (in Dorze village on Monday and Thursday and in nearby Chencha on Tuesday and Saturday), that will be visited.

Day 7: Boat trip in Lake Chamo and proceed to Konso

Stop At: Chamo Lake, Arba Minch Ethiopia
In the morning, depart to Arba Minch for a boat trip on Lake Chamo to visit the โ€œcrocodile marketโ€, and the local hippos.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Konso Cultural Centre, On the road with Stawberry Fields Eco-Lodge, Konso Ethiopia
After the visit, proceed to Konso (market days are Mondays and Thursdays). The Konso people are known for their wooden statues, known as wakas, which are erected in honor of dead heroes as well as their innovative agricultural terracing. Today you will have a brief opportunity to visit a local village and the cultural museum displaying many waka statues

Day 8: Visit Different tribes

Stop At: Weyt'o, Ethiopia
Early in the morning depart from Konso to Turmi. On the way you will pass through the village of Weyto (market daySaturday), which is home to the Tsemai tribe.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Turmi, Turmi, Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People's Region
Continue through the Weyto Valley to Erbore, where you will have a brief visit to a local Erbore village (market day is Saturday). Finally, proceed to Turmi, home of the Hamer tribe.
Duration: 6 hours

Day 9: Visit Dassenech tribe and Karo Village

Stop At: Dasenech Village, Omorate Dasenech, Turmi 1000 Ethiopia
In the morning, take a day trip to Omorate to visit the Dassenech tribe. Here you will cross the Omo River by local boat and enter a Dassenech village. Afterwards, return to Turmi.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Karo, Ethiopia
Then proceed to Kolcho to visit the Karo people, who are considered the masters of body painting
Duration: 4 hours

Day 10: Jinka to Addis

Stop At: Mago National Park, 1000 Ethiopia
Early morning, drive through the Mago National Park to a local village of the Mursi tribe. The Mursi are known for their lower lip and earlobe plates.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Jinka Museum, Jinka, Ethiopia
Perched on a hill northeast of town (look for the green roof), this museum hosts an interesting exhibition on the region's cultures. Thereโ€™s also a collection of ethnographic DVDs to view. After lunch catch a flight from Jinka to Addis.
