Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Entebbe International Airport

Pass By: Lake Victoria, Entebbe Uganda
Upon arrival in Entebbe, we will meet you at the airport and transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe.

Meals included:

Day 2: Transfer from Entebbe โ€“ Kibale Forest National Park - Hike to the top of the world

Stop At: Kibale National Park, Kibale National Park, Western Region
After breakfast with driver/guide will set off to Western Uganda, to Fort Portal. This lively town is the base for activities around Kibale Forest National Park. The national park offers one of the most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda, 70 mammal species and 13 primate species.
The drive takes 5 to 7 hours so we will arrive in time in Fort Portal for lunch.
After lunch we will shake off the long drive with a walk to the โ€œtop of the worldโ€ along crater lakes which this area is also famous for.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience Kibale forest

Stop At: Kanyanchu Visitor Center, Chimpanzee Tracking Kibale National Park, Kibale National Park Uganda
Proceed to the Kanyanchu visitors Centre at 06.00am to meet with the Chimpanzee Habituation team where you will conduct what is known as the Chimp Chex activity. This activity is a unique opportunity to participate in the habituation of chimps within the Kibale Forest National Park. There is provision for you to participate from dawn to dusk where you can call 'time' on the day such that it can be quite challenging physically but at the same time there are long pauses in the experience that will see you relaxing and observing in close proximity to the chimps as they too relax in the middle of the day.

Day 4: Bigodi Swamp Walk and to Queen Elizabeth National Park - evening game drive

Stop At: Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, Kamwenge Road, Fort Portal Uganda
After Breakfast and transfer to the Bigodi Wetlands, visit the community based Bigodi Sanctaury great for Primate viewing and also birding and butterfly haven.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Western Region
Queen Elizabeth National Park is the most popular park in Uganda as it offers diverse ecosystems, classic big game, 10 primate species and over 600 bird species. You will drive leisurely southwards; explore the park in an extensive game drive.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park - Boat cruise Kazinga Channel

Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, 410 kilometers from Kampala, Kasese Uganda
You will spend the whole day exploring the park further. Starting off with an early morning game drive, a boat trip on Kazinga Channel continued by the drive southwards to the Ishasha sector which is re-known for its tree climbing lions. You will carry a packed lunch.

Day 6: Ishasha tree climbing game drives and transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, 410 kilometers from Kampala, Kasese Uganda
As you are warming up for the gorilla trackingโ€ฆ We start the day with a game drive to look for tree climbing lionsin Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth before having a relaxed lunch at the lodge. We then drive further south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is of Ugandaยดs oldest and most diverse rainforests. The โ€œimpenetrableโ€ forest is also home to more than 320 mountain gorillas, 400 species of plants, 120 species of mammals and over 350 species of birds.

Day 7: Gorilla tracking Bwindi โ€“ Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Buhoma Uganda
The most exciting day of your safari, the briefing is at 8 am and you will learn about gorilla etiquette. And then you will start walking and hiking in the impenetrable forest until you find the gorillas. For one hour you are allowed to watch those majestic giants!
Duration: 7 hours

Stop At: Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda
Most known as The Switzerland of Africa, Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa with 900 metres deep and also is a fresh water body with NO bilhazia so you can feel free to enjoy a swim here
Duration: 2 hours

Day 8: Transfer to Entebbe / Kigali for your out bound flight

With our breakfast at leisure, we enjoy the last views of lake Bunyonyi as we proceed to either Entebbe or Kigali for your international flight
