  • Day 1 Arrival To Cusco

      Arrival To Cusco

      This day is essential for your trip, to first rest and acclimatize to the altitude and conditions during your stay in Cusco. This smooth transition via rest will assure that during the following days you can enjoy your tour without any concerns of altitude sickness. We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel for your lodging during the following days.

  • Day 2 Cooking Class – Ollantaytambo
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Cooking Class – Ollantaytambo

      This is a very special day as we begin our Peruian cuisine cooking class – supervised by a professional chef you will learn step by step the art in the kitchen to create the most delicous dishes using simple recipes with the finest ingredients in the country. Here we will also learn about the history of each dish and the unique elements native to the Andes that give each plate its fabulous taste.  After class we will make the journey by bus to the town of Ollantaytambo, the living Inca village, where you can appreciate intact structures still being used to this day and the original building plan of town still functioning. Here we will spend the night and have the opportunity to wander these ancient streets and feel the magic of this enigmatic town deep in the Sacred Valley of the Inca.

  • Day 3 Machu Picchu
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Machu Picchu

      This morning we will begin very early to travel to the train station in the town of Ollantaytambo for our journey by train to the town of Machu Picchu. Another short bus ride will bring us up the mountain to the site entrance. Your guide will be with you at every moment to inform you about the site and answer any questions. The guided tour through the Sanctuary will last roughly 2 hours. Later we will begin our return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and rest before our late afternoon train to Ollantaytambo. Following our journey by train, our land transport will await our transfer to Cusco and back to your Hotel.

  • Day 4 Maras – Moray – Chinchero
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Maras – Moray – Chinchero

      Early in the morning we will take our train from Aguas Calientes back to Ollantaytambo and continue our journey by land to the mysterious terrances of Moray, nestled in the rolling hills of the Maras area. Moray is known for being a construction that served as an experimental agricultural center to selectivly cultivate the best breeds of Andean staple crops at different temperatures and altitudes.  Near Moray we will stop at the town of Maras to then visit the ancient salt mines, used for thousands of years by local families to supply salt not only to the Incas, but still to this day offering us an example of the natural art of salt harvesting straight from the land. Further up on the high plains will we visit Chinchero, an important ancient site for the Inca, known as the birth place of the rainbow. We will visit the main site with its picturesque conlonial church located upon the ancient archaelogical site and continue to a local textile center where we will learn about the ancient science of weaving from the very artesans themselves and how they bring to magic these wonderful pieces of art dyed with minerals, plants and seeds. Continuing through the Our tour will conclude as we return to your hotel in Cusco.

  • Day 5 Southern Valley Tour
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Southern Valley Tour

      Today we will explore Cusco’s Southern Valley which will examine slightly different aspects of the history in the region of Cusco. This area is also less explored than the major routes and is often much less crowded. The sites range from colonial to Inca and even pre-Inca, offering us a profound perspective of Cusco’s ancient past. We start in the Inca temple of Tipon, a place that celebrates the living giving element of water and its qualities, home to fountains and aquaducts which, through various irrigation channels, explore the movement of this element. Later in Pikillaqta, we will step into the time and space of the Wari Culture, a pre-Inca people who were highly organized and efficient in this region. To end our day we will visit the colonial church of Andahuaylillas, known of the Sistine Chapel of the Americas, full of beautiful architecture and the fine artwork that reveals the fusion between ancient and colonial essences.

  • Day 6 City Walking Tour – Fly To Lima

      City Walking Tour – Fly To Lima

      This morning you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the most attractive sites of Cusco’s Historic Center before your afternoon flight to Lima. The sites offered include:

      • Plaza de Armas/Main square, which is home to the main cathedral and colonial houses
      • Plaza Nazarenas
      • San Blas neighborhood
      • The twelve angle stone
      • San Pedro local market

      In the afternoon we have culminated this incredible experience of Cusco flavor explosion and transfer you to the airport for your departure!
