Funds of more than US$20,000 or its equivalent must be declared to Customs.
Funds of up to THB50,000 may be exported from Thailand. Funds of up to THB2,000,000 may be taken over the border to Vietnam and the Yunnan District of China. Travellers to these areas must declare any amount over THB450,000 to Customs.
