This cycling tour of 18 days duration takes one from the Indian Ocean coastline to the elephants in the Addo Elephant National Park, through indigenous forests to ostrich farms in the dry semi-desert of the Little Karoo, from the solitude of the Swartberg Mountains to the Cape wine regions and finally to the lively and multicultural metropolis of the City of Cape Town. On this cycling tour, one will cycle through the Western Cape Province which, owing to its unique, compact yet varied landscape, is ideal for purposes of exploration by bike.
There are two routes to choose from: Route A will take one in the cooler months of October and March along a long stretch of road through the desolation of the semi-desert Little Karoo. Route B will take one in the warmer months of November till February closer to the cool coastline and includes a short trip into the semi-desert Little Karoo
