Day 1: Flight To Bhairawa And Drive To Lumbini

In the morning, we will take a 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa, followed by a 30-minute drive to Lumbini. Here, you will spend the day exploring this UNESCO World Heritage site, which is meticulously planned and spans an area of 6 km by 2 km. Our tour will begin at the New Tourist Village, where we will visit the World Peace Pagoda and the museum. This site is designed as a pilgrimage destination to introduce Buddhism and provide spiritual purification through its monastic zone. You will find monasteries representing Mahayana and Theravada Buddhism scattered throughout the area.

Our visit will also include the Mayadevi Temple, where we will see the โ€™Marker Stone,โ€™ the statue depicting the nativity scene, and the ruins of the old temple walls. The Asoka Pillar, which still bears inscriptions of his visit to the birthplace of Buddha, will also be part of our tour. Overnight stay in Lumbini.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Religious And Archaeological Sites Of Kapilavastu
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 2: Religious And Archaeological Sites Of Kapilavastu

We will drive to explore the religious and archaeological sites of Tilaurakot, Gotihawa, Kudan, Niglihawa, and Sagarhawa. Tilaurakot, the ancient city of Kapilavastu, was the capital of the Shakyas and the place where Buddha spent his first 29 years. Kudan is notable for being the site where Buddha was received by his father following his enlightenment. King Suddhodana constructed Kudan (Nigrodharma Park) specifically for Buddha and his followers.

Gotihawa is renowned as the birthplace of Krakuchanda Buddha, while Niglihawa is the birthplace of Kanakmuni Buddha. Sagarhawa is significant for its archaeological findings, which are associated with the "massacre of the Shakyas." We will spend the night in Lumbini.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Devdaha-Ramgram And Flight Back To Kathmandu
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 3: Devdaha-Ramgram And Flight Back To Kathmandu

Weโ€™ll embark on a drive to the historic and archaeological sites of Devdaha and Ramagram. Devdaha, once the ancient capital of the Koliya kingdom, is notable as the maternal hometown of Queen Mayadevi (Prince Siddharthaโ€™s mother), Prajapati Gautami (his stepmother), and Princess Yasodhara (his consort). It is also the place where Prince Siddhartha spent his early years.

Ramagram features a seven-meter-high brick stupa located on the bank of the Jharahi River. This stupa contains a relic of Lord Buddha, one of the eight sacred relics (astha dhatu). It was constructed by the king of Ramgrama, who was the eighth ruler to receive a relic of the Buddha.

In the late afternoon, weโ€™ll return to Kathmandu by flight and bid farewell. We hope you have a wonderful time in Nepal!
