      Arrival in Hanoi - the capital of Vietnam. Reception by your tour guide and transfer to your hotel (check-in time from 14:00). The rest of the day is at your leisure. Use the day for a first orientation on your own or join our street food excursion (optional at extra charge, right after arrival in Hanoi). Here you will have the opportunity to taste a "Pho" - the traditional Vietnamese soup. You will also visit Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. At the end of the tour, your guide will take you back to the hotel.

      - Hanoi Street Food Excursion: You will enjoy Hanoiโ€™s traditional food, see Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple.       Today, experience the vibrant metropolis of Hanoi, which will impress you with magnificent colonial buildings and pagodas. In the morning you will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Mondays) and his former residence. You will visit the most important literary temple in Vietnam as well as the legendary Chua Mot Cot, the "One Pillar Pagoda". You will take a drive around Hoan Kiem Lake with the Turtle Tower - the landmark of Hanoi - and visit the so-called "Jade Mountain Temple", the Ngoc Son Temple. Then itโ€™s off on a rickshaw ride through Hanoiโ€™s Old Quarter. A performance of the water puppet theater rounds off this day.

      Day 4: Hanoi - Halong Bay

      On the new trunk road, along the rice fields of the Red River Delta, you will travel to the famous Halong Bay, known for its emerald green waters and thousands of limestone islands covered by rainforest. Your boat trip on a junk will take you through a mystical island world. On board, a sumptuous lunch and dinner awaits you with specialties fresh from the sea. You will spend the night on board the junk.

      In the morning, your cruise continues through the fairytale island world of Halong Bay and you enjoy breakfast on board. By noon you will continue your cruise through the UNESCO World Heritage Site Halong Bay. You will enjoy brunch on the ship before heading back to Hanoi. From there, you will fly to Hue in central Vietnam. At the airport you will be met by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel in Hue.

      You will start the day with a boat trip on the Huong River, also called "Perfume River". You will see the impressive Thien Mu Pagoda. With the Phuoc Duyen tower, the pagoda is the highest in Vietnam. Afterwards, you will visit the famous Imperial Palace and tour the venerable imperial city of Hue. Afterwards, you will visit the Trang Tien Bridge and the Dong Ba Market in the Old Quarter - a feast for lovers of authentic Vietnamese delicacies! You will also visit the Imperial Tomb of the Nguyen Dynasty before heading back to your hotel. Optional at extra charge: dinner at typical Hue house Y Thao Garden.

      Todayโ€™s drive takes you over the famous Cloud Pass, the weather divide between North and South Vietnam. On a clear day you will have a fantastic view over the coast of Vietnam all the way to Da Nang. Today you will also see the mile long beach of Lang Co and the marble mountains in Da Nang.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Hoi An - Traque Village

      Day 8: Hoi An - Traque Village

      In the morning you will visit the Japanese Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda, Chinese Quarter and take part in a lantern workshop. Afterwards, you will start a bike tour with your guide to the charming village of Tra Que, located on the outskirts of Hoi An. You will experience the daily life of local farmers as you work with them in the garden. You will relax with a foot massage before preparing the traditional lunch together with the villagers. In the afternoon you will learn about vegetable harvesting before saying goodbye to your hosts and heading back to the hotel.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City

      The morning is at your leisure. If you wish, you can join a special cooking class at the Red Bridge Cooking School or take a trip to My Son, the former administrative seat of the Kingdom of Champa.


      Or - new to the program! - You will take an excursion to the Golden Bridge (each optional at an additional cost).


      Afterwards, you will fly from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam and the economic center of the country. Your transfer guide will take you to the hotel. Use the afternoon to explore on your own and enjoy a stroll along the Dong Khoi shopping street.

      - Cooking class with boat tour in Hoi An In the morning, meet the chef of Red Bridge Restaurant for a personally guided shopping tour in the market. Here you will experience Hoi An up close and get a glimpse into the bustling life, foreign sounds and scents of the city and its markets. You will trade with the merchants and buy fresh ingredients for your lunch. After shopping, a boat will take you to the Red Bridge Cooking School on the Hoi An River. There you will learn and learn a lot about Vietnamese herbs, spices, ingredients as well as the art of decorating. The chef will show you how to prepare some of the most delicious Vietnamese dishes. Afterwards, under his guidance, you may get "creative" yourself and conjure up Vietnamese and Hoi An specialties for yourself on the table. (minimum number of participants 2 persons, English guided)


      - My Son (half day excursion) The tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and you will make your way to My Son. Once there, you will visit the capital Tra Kieu, the former administrative seat of the Champa Kingdom. You will discover the majestic ruins of My Son. (Minimum number of participants 2 people)


      - Excursion to the hills of Ba Na with visit to the Golden Bridge This morning, you will be picked up by your guide at the hotel and transferred to the hills of Ba Na, about 25 km from Da Nang. The region served as an aerial health resort for the former French colonial rulers, but quickly fell into oblivion after the occupation forces left. Only the construction of an amusement park awakened the region from its slumber, which can only be reached by a cable car that climbs almost 1500 meters in height. At the top you will visit Le Jardin Garden Dโ€™Amour, Luna Castle, Sun Palace and of course the famous Golden Bridge. The 150m long pedestrian bridge, supported on two giant hands, offers a picturesque view of the tropical rainforest of the Ba Na Hills.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City

      After breakfast, you will get to know Ho Chi Minh City during a city tour. The metropolis offers numerous sights such as the historical center, the Opera House and the Notre Dame Cathedral. You will also visit the Reunification Hall, the Central Post Office, which is an architectural masterpiece, and the Ben Thanh Market. Would you like to experience something else in the evening? Then visit the "A O Show" or have dinner aboard the Indochina Junk Cruise (optional at extra cost).

      - A O Show Immerse yourself in the world of the A O Show as you gain cultural experience at Saigonโ€™s opulent opera house.       After breakfast, you will take an excursion to the Mekong Delta. The Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam and is also known as the "Breadbasket", as rice for the whole country is grown here. You will drive to Ben Tre and embark on your boat trip on the Mekong River. You will stop at a small farm to taste delicious local fruits and tea. By rickshaw you will then go to lunch at a typical local restaurant. By small boats, you will travel on the narrow waterways back to Ben Tre and then back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. You can experience the city in the evening with our "Dark City Tour" (English guided). Partly by night walk, partly by Vespa tour, your guide will lead you into the nightlife. You will have a drink, eat snacks at the cookshops and visit a nightclub with live music. Sitting behind the driver, you will discover a completely different face of Vietnam - you are right in the middle of the action (optional at extra cost)!
