Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at your central Berlin hotel (4 stars) and go on a sight-seeing tour of Berlin to see the highlights of Berlin.

Pass By: Brandenburg, Brandenburg
The Brandenburg Gate is the most famous German landmark.

Pass By: Unter den Linden, Berlin Germany
This street connects the Brandenburg Gate and Alexanderplatz. Some of Berlin's oldest and most beautiful buildings are located here.

Pass By: Deutsche Oper Berlin, Bismarckstrasse 35, Berlin Germany
The opera was commissioned by Frederic II and is the oldest opera building in the world. It was recently renovated.

Pass By: The Holocaust Memorial - Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Cora-Berliner-Strasse 1, 10117 Berlin Germany
This monument built by Peter Eisenman commemorates the millions of Jews murdered by the Nazis.

Day 2: You will visit two museums on Museum Island. There will also be a tour of the Reichstag with a visit to the glass dome.

Stop At: Reichstag Building, Platz der Republik 1, 10557 Berlin Germany
You will pass security (bring ID!) and take the elevator to the roof where you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the city, as well as climb up on the glass dome. On the way out you will peek into the German Parliament.

Stop At: Museum Island, Museum Island, Berlin
You will see the Neues Museum which is a most amazing building and visit Nefertiti, the most beautiful woman ever (so some peole say). Also visit the Pergamon with the Ishtar Gate and the Gate of Milet.

Day 3: Travel to Potsdam to see Cecilienhof (site of Potsdam Conference in 1945) and the famous park of Sanssouci.

Pass By: Olympiastadion Berlin, Olympischer Platz 3, 14053 Berlin Germany
The stadium was built for the 1936 Olympic Games. This is where Jessey Owen won all his gold medals. Take a picture of the famous five rings.

Stop At: Haus der Wannsee-Konferenz, Am Grossen Wannsee 56-58, 14109 Berlin Germany
This is where the infamous conference took place in January 1942 where the Nazis decided on the fate of Europe's Jews.

Stop At: Schloss Cecilienhof, Im Neuen Garten 11, 14469 Potsdam, Brandenburg Germany
This is where Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill (Attlee) met in 1945 to divide Germany in different sectors. Visit the museum with audio-guides.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Sanssouci Park, Zur Historischen Muhle, 14469 Potsdam, Brandenburg Germany
This is just one of the many parks in Potsdam recognized by the Unesco as a World Heritage Site. From the fountain you will get the opportunity to take a picture of the lovely Palace. Also visit the grave of Frederic II who lies next to his beloved dogs.

Potsdam's Old town consists of several hundred houses all built in the 1740s making this an icon of a baroque town.

Day 4: The group will travel by bus to Tropical Islands, Europe's largest water park

Stop At: Tropical Islands, Tropical-Islands-Allee 1, 15910 Halbe, Brandenburg Germany
This will be the highlight of the trip for the kids! The world's largest water park in a former airship-hangar has pools, warm weather, outside pools, slides, and many more activities.

Day 5: Today the group will travel to the Spreewald

Stop At: Luebbenau, Luebbenau, Brandenburg
Luebbenau is located in the middle of the Spreewald, home to Germany's only ethnic minority, a Slavic tribe that has lived here for many centuries and held on to its own language. The forest appears like a jungle and you can either cajak through the many romantic canals, or do a trip with a gondola to enjoy this enchanted forest.

Day 6: The group will travel to Dresden where they will spend 2 nights

Stop At: Dresden, Dresden, Saxony
You will do a walking tour to see the highlights of this beautiful baroque town: Frauenkirche, Zwinger, Train of Princes, Brรผhlsche Terrace, Old Town.

Day 7: On your second day in Dresden, you will visit a museum and then travel up the river Elbe with a steam boat.

Stop At: Schloss & Park Pillnitz, August-Boeckstiegel-Str. 2, 01326 Dresden, Saxony Germany
Schloss Pillnitz will be reached by steam boat, one of the oldest steam boat fleets in the world. The kids, in the meantime, may do a mountain bike tour and meet up with the families later in Pillnitz.

Stop At: Green Vault, Taschenberg 2 Residenzschloss, 01067 Dresden, Saxony Germany
This is one of Germany's most astounding museums. The Saxon King collected thousands of little precious oddities and jewels. The museum was all over the news recently because robbers managed to break in and steal some of the pieces on exhibit.

Day 8: On your way to Munich, you will stop in Nรผrnberg for a city tour.

Stop At: Nuremberg, Nuremberg, Middle Franconia, Franconia, Bavaria
This medieval town has an amazing castle to visit, some very old houses, as well as the home of Albrecht Dรผrer.

Day 9: On your first day in Munich, enjoy a city walk to see the higlights.

Stop At: Munich, Munich, Upper Bavaria, Bavaria
See Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, the Hofbrรคuhaus, and the Feldherrenhalle, where Hitler tried to overthrow the government only to be thrown into jail for a few years. You will also have a chance to visit Viktualienmarkt, the quintessential farmer's market, and a typical biergarten.

Day 10: You will go on an excursion to Neuschwanstein, Ludwig II's dream castle

Stop At: Schloss Neuschwanstein, Neuschwansteinstrasse 20, 87645 Schwangau, Bavaria Germany
This castle is known the world over because Walt Disney modeled his castle after it. You will get a chance to take stunning pictures of it, as well as go on an English-language tour inside. There is a steep climb to reach the castle!

Before returning to Munich, you will visit Oberammergau, a lovely town in the mountains, or, alternatively, visit Cloister Ettal.
