Itinerary of your trip 4 Days Island Adventure Tour Vancouver Victoria, Ucluelet, T

  • Day 1 Vancouver - Victoria
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Vancouver - Victoria

      STOP 1: The Tsawassen Ferries.

Here we take a scenic two-hour cruise across the Georgia Strait and through the inner islands to Victoria.

      STOP 2: The Butchart Gardens.

Heading up the Island, the Famous Butchart Gardens are a must-see. These gardens are the Butchart family legacy, over 100 years old and 55 acres of beautifully manicured gardens and floral displays.

      STOP 3: Victoriaโ€™s Inner Harbour.

We are going to spend some time walking along the Inner Harbor. Weโ€™ll see the beautiful architecture of the Fairmont Empress Hotel, and the Parliament Buildings. Both were built by the same young Architect in the late 1800s and early 20th Century.

      STOP 4: The Legislative Assembly

The British Columbia Parliament Buildings began operation officially during 1898. The grand scale of its 500-foot-long andesite faรงade, central dome and two end pavilions, the richness of its white marble, and combination of Baroque rigorous symmetry, use of domes and sculptural massing with the rusticated surfaces of the then-popular Renaissance style.

STOP 5: The Empress Fairmont Hotel

The Empress Hotel opened on January 20, 1908. The Empress was named after Queen Victoria. The city of Victoria literally grew up around the stunning Empress hotel, which has been at the social and business centre of this city since it opened.

      STOP 6: Fishermenโ€™s Wharf

Just around the corner from Victoriaโ€™s Inner Harbour, Fishermanโ€™s Wharf is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. This unique marine destination offers food kiosks, unique shops and eco-tour adventures amongst fishing vessels, pleasure boats with live-aboard residents, float homes and commercial businesses.

We spent the night here at a Hotel in Victoria.

  • Day 2 Victoria - Nanaimo - Coombs - Ucluelet - Tofino
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Victoria - Nanaimo - Coombs - Ucluelet - Tofino

We start the day with a drive up the Island towards Tofino.

This is the Pacific Rim region. Itโ€™s known for its ancient rainforest, abundant marine life, and ferocious winter storms. Itโ€™s where the storm-watching trend originated.

      STOP 1: Hatley Castle

A historic landmark located in Colwood, British Columbia, Canada. It was originally built in 1908 by James Dunsmuir, a prominent industrialist and politician, as his familyโ€™s residence.

The castleโ€™s architecture is a blend of Scottish baronial style and Arts and Crafts style, featuring turrets, towers, and a grand hall with a fireplace made of Italian marble.

      STOP 2: Malahat Skywalk

Weโ€™ll explore the Malahat SkyWalk, an accessible 600m TreeWalk through a beautiful arbutus forest. This walk leads to a spectacular, gentle spiral ramp that takes you up 32m to a sightseeing lookout. From there, you can enjoy views of Finlayson Arm, Saanich Peninsula, Mount Baker, and the distant Coast Mountains.

      STOP 3: Duncan

Duncan is also home to the worldโ€™s largest collection of publicly displayed totem poles. In the โ€œCity of Totemsโ€, visitors can embark on a free, self-guided tour throughout the city that includes 44 hand-carved poles created by Indigenous master artisans.

      STOP 4: Nanaimo.

Here we can stop in the Old City Quarter for a walk around through the old Heritage buildings and quaint shops downtown.

      STOP 5: Coombs.

Just another 40 minutes north of Nanaimo, we will stop in Coombs for lunch. Here there is a unique Old Country Market with many shops and eateries. There is a live rooftop with a herd of goats who live upon it, munching on the grass!

      STOP 6: The Ucluelet Harbour.

Uclueletโ€™s Small Craft Harbour is the West Coastโ€™s most comprehensive marine facility. This is a classic example of an actual working harbour, situated on the outskirts of Barkley Sound. It is a destination in its own right.

STOP 7: Wild Pacific Trail, Ucluelet.

The Wild Pacific Trail follows 4.4km of the Pacific Ocean coastline of Ucluelet, offering stunning views of the rugged rocky coast and thundering waves.

      STOP 8: Tofino.

One of Canadaโ€™s most westerly towns, Tofino is a world-renowned surf town, and it has become a culinary destination for its fresh-off-the-boat seafood. Itโ€™s also known for the most incredible sunsets.

You will then be free to roam and experience this townโ€™s culinary delights and maybe take in the sunset on a seaside patio as we settle into a Hotel here for the night in either Tofino or Ucluelet (as per availability).

  • Day 3 Tofino And Pacific Rim National Park
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Tofino And Pacific Rim National Park

Wake up on the beautiful West Coast of Vancouver Island with the open ocean lapping at your doorstep. Take in the sunrise and enjoy some more of this quaint little surf town.

We will meet up afterwards to start exploring the area.

  • Day 4 Tofino - Port Alberni - Nanaimo - Vancouver
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Tofino - Port Alberni - Nanaimo - Vancouver

This morning, after breakfast, we will leave Tofino and head back towards Nanaimo.

      STOP 1: Port Alberni.

This little town boasts a magnificent, deep-sea port at the head of the Alberni Inlet opening into Barkley Sound and the Pacific Ocean. Surrounded by mountains, freshwater lakes and streams, the area is wildly popular for its breathtaking scenery.

      STOP 2: The Nanaimo Harbour.

Looking out accross the Salish Sea towards the Coastal Mountains, the harbor is the central focus of Nanaimo. We will take some time to explore this area and more of the coastal shoreline.

      STOP 3: Departure Bay Ferries

From here we will board the ferry for two hours of relaxing water views back to the mainland.
