5 Days Experience Extreme Ushuaia!

We will pick you up upon arrival at Ushuaia International Airport and take you to your hotel. Once you are settle, we will meet you at the port where our navigation will depart. After checking in, the passengers go on board. We get ready to begin the navigation and enjoy the wonders the Beagle Channel shows us. A tour guide accompanies us along the tour to share their knowledge about our surroundings.  Sea and coast birds join us along the journey and we make a first stop at the Bird Island to best appreciate them. Sightseeing, in another island, the South American fur and sea lions show us their interesting behavior and habitat. We stop at several occasions to exclusively appreciate the mentioned wildlife and the historic “Les Éclaireurs” lighthouse. The landscape persists in its effort to dazzles us in each corner.  After the navigation, we will leave you at the port and you will haver the rest of the afternoon to enjoy this beautiful city.

The tour begins picking up the passengers early in the morning. Once on the vehicles, we take the national route N°3 heading north to go through the mountain range where the landscape shows us Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mounts. We leave behind the Beagle Channel to find the Carbajal Valley, a marvelous glacial valley that reveals forest, peat bog, mountains and permanent snow.  We keep on going on the route until they reach 450 meters above sea level and cross the Andes. From the viewpoint “Paso Garibaldi” they enjoy a stunning panoramic view of Escondido and Fagnano lakes. After that we head to the Bronsovich sawmill and, from there, we take the provincial route 119, for about 10 km to find our Off Road circuit. It is an old loggers path that lead us to Fagnano lake. We go through an ancient lenga forest and some other obstacles that test our 4x4 vehicles.  Included in this tour, we drive to an incredible place nearby the lake to savor a tasty lunch and immerse ourselves in the magic of the place. Once the tour is completed, we say goodbye to the wonderful landscape to drive back to Ushuaia city. 

Very early in the morning, we leave Ushuaia following National Route 3 and crossing The Andes through the Garibaldi Pass. Standing at 450 meters above sea level, this is one of the most interesting points of the trip. They travel about 60 kilometers when Lake Escondido surprises us in the middle of the high rocky walls. As they continue, they observe the ecosystem gradually transforming from the woods to the steppe at the northern part of the island, a region known for breeding the best lambs in the world. During the morning we go to the Provincial Route “A”, where we take a gravel road and visit the Estancia Rolito. This lovely ranch, that keeps the spirit of a family business based on sheep farming tradition, is the first ranch to open its gates to rural tourism. It is here that we make a pause for a delightful tea with home-made cakes, cookies and marmalades. After enjoying this picturesque place, we continue heading toward the Atlantic Ocean and the San Pablo Cape. At this point, we climb to the headland where we will reach an abandoned lighthouse at the end. From the top of this cape, our guests will be able to appreciate the Desdemona, a ship abandoned for almost 40 years that invites us to sail back in time.  After exploring this mysterious giant, we visit the local fishermen Silvia and Miguel, who have been in the business since 1991, and they will invite our guests to enjoy a homemade lunch of fresh fish at their home.
