      After you arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu and complete the formalities in the customs, you shall be greeted by our representative with a warm welcome. After that you shall be transferred to the hotel for your stay where you shall be taking some rest after a long journey to this beautiful nation. Later you shall be picked up by our representative for a half day sightseeing tour to Kathmandu Durbar Square, a big complex, which host ancient royal palace, temples including that of Living Goddess Kumari, resting places and various heritages, ornate carvings and many more. In the evening you will be picked up from the hotel for a cultural dinner with authentic Nepalese cuisines. Stay overnight in Kathmandu at the hotel.

      Experience and explore the cultural richness, religious ambience and historical prominence of the heritages in Kathmandu manifested in the UNESCO heritage sites, in the full day sightseeing today. From the Swayambhunath Stupa which is also known as The Monkey Temple and is known for its auspiciousness, whitewashed monasteries and wonderful view of Kathmandu valley, to the Boudhanath Stupa which is one of the biggest stupas in the world you shall explore the Buddhist pilgrimage sites. Next on the list is the holy Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath Temple revered with utmost faith and belief by the Hindu community. Later in the afternoon, we shall be having a pre-trip meeting where you shall be briefed by the trekking guide about the trek.       The trekking in Everest region, to the Gokyo valley, shall begin today after we reach to Lukla after a scenic flight of about 35 minutes. This flight over the lush, terraced and rolling hills, green valleys, serpentine rivers weaving the landscape and stunning views of the Himalayas in distance are truly pleasant. Reaching the Lukla airport we shall now meet the other members of our trekking expedition and packing bags we shall move ahead for Phakding, the destination of overnight stay for today. From the airport we shall descend to the riverbed of Dudh Koshi River at Thado koshigaon crossing over suspension bridge and past Mani walls, stone walls and small settlements including Chheplung. Ahead in the trail, navigating through several lively villages, across suspension bridges festooned with prayer flags, past prayer wheels, lush and dense forest with rhododendron and other vegetations we reach the village of Phakding. A village with decent accommodation and lush surrounding Phakding shall host you tonight. Stay overnight in Phakding.

      Our trek to the quaint yet equally marvelous Gokyo valley continues today as well. After breakfast we start our trek past ancient gompas, waterfall and with pristine Dudh Koshi River accompanying us we reach to Benkar valley and ahead to Monjo, the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. En route we shall cross several suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags and move ahead through the Jorsale village deeper into the Everest region. After crossing over the vertiginous suspension bridge at Larja Dobhan, the confluence of Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi River, we shall now trek on a final section to Namche on a steep trail of around an hour. Intermittently, we shall have the view of Mount Everest before reaching the Sherpa hub of Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest region. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

      In a day dedicated to rest and acclimatization, today we shall spend our day in Namche Bazaar. We shall engage ourselves in various activities including the exploration of Namche Bazaar and day hike to the satellite villages for better adaptation to the thin air at higher altitudes in our trek. A vibrant, colorful and lively village in the Khumbu region and perfect fit for acclimatization, Namche has cafes and shops, interesting vendors and weekly market besides the Sherpa Museum which provides information on history of mountaineering, local lifestyle and vegetation, with collection of materials related to climbing. An early morning day hike to Everest View Hotel is one of the most popular destinations that provides wonderful view of the Himalayas including Everest, Lhotse, beautiful Ama Dablam, and several others peaks. The villages of Khumjung and Khunde which is home to ancient monastery and scenic surrounding are other popular day hike destinations besides the Thame village for trekkers preferring a longer hike.       Starting with beautiful view of mountains from Namche Bazaar, we shall begin our trek for today in a twisting trail. Past the viewpoint that provides view of Ama Dablam, Lhotse Shar, Taboche, Kang Taiga and other neighboring peaks and through the rhododendron forest, the trail shall open up to juniper and conifer trees and to the trail junction with trails leading to Gokyo valley and the classical trail to Everest Base Camp. Branching off the trail to Everest base camp and through the summer settlements and Yak Kharkas we move ahead in the trail. Along the ups and downs of the trail, we shall trek past chorten and visit settlement of Mohang which is the birthplace of re-incarnated Lama of Rongbuk Monastery in Tibet who introduced Buddhism in the region. With the view of sacred Khumbila Peak and beautiful Tawache Peak we reach to Phortse Thanga, our entry point to the breathtaking Gokyo region. Stay overnight in Phortse Tanga.

      The trek to Dole from our overnight stay in Phortse Thanga shall start after breakfast. We shall trek out of the valley through the dense rhododendron forest and crossing over some suspension bridge the trek proceeds ahead. In a slow and gradual trek to Dole, we shall pass through some summer settlements used by locals for grazing their Yaks during summer and the village of Tongba (3950m), Gyele (3960m) before reaching Dole. The trail from Tongba to Dole, accompanied by the mighty Dudh Koshi River takes us past beautiful waterfall and hydroelectricity power house in a gradually increasing elevation.       In this section we shall now enter into the alpine vegetation more vividly as the trail from Dole ascends steadily to the scenic ridge and rises along the side of the valley high above the river ahead in the trail. We shall traverse through the smaller summer settlements of Lhabarmo and beautiful hamlet of Luza, summer pastures for the cattle and trek ahead with the views of lofty Cho Oyu Peak as the backdrop besides the Kantega and Thamserku Peak looking over the entire trail. After this gradual and short trek we shall reach to the destination of Machhermo around lunch time. Stay overnight in Machhermo.

      We trek towards Gokyo and the feeling of excitement mounts as we enter into the alpine vegetation of high mountains. Beyond Machhermo the trail climbs a ridge for an excellent view both down the valley to Kantega and up towards Cho-Oyu (8,153m). Beyond the ridge the valley widens as the trail passes through Pangram at 4,390m. The route descends to the river bank before beginning the climb up to the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa glacier. It is a steep climb on the moraine. Afterwards the trail levels out as it follows the valley past a second lake, known as Longponga at 4,690m, where you can find the Lama Foot prints then finally up a boulder-strewn path to Gokyo at 4,750m, on edge of the third lake. Gokyo a small settlement but slowly growing with about 6-8 lodges at present. Gokyo with its glacial lake and the surrounding high snow capped mountain certainly makes this place one of the gem of Khumbu region. Stay overnight at the tea house.

      This is another acclimatization day in our itinerary as we shall explore around the beautiful Gokyo valley. The day shall however begin with the ascent to the Gokyo Ri (5463m/17923ft) that lies to the north of the Gokyo valley for panoramic sunrise view over the Himalayas. This ascent shall be a gradual one so as to avoid the problem of altitude sickness. After encountering couple of false peaks and climbing on steep trail we reach to the top of the Gokyo Ri Peak. Decorated by the prayer flags, the summit of Gokyo Ri provides panoramic view of Himalayas, Glaciers and beautiful Gokyo village. Breathtaking views of 8000m peaks such as the Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Cholatse, Kusum Kangaru and others are visible from the peak besides the Ngozumpa Glacier on the foreground below the summit. Living our dream with the majestic views we return back to the Gokyo village. In the afternoon you will have chance to explore up to the Fifth Lake past the Forth Lake for enjoying the view.       After conquering over the Gokyo Ri Peak, the ultimate destination of this expedition we now retrace our steps back from the Gokyo valley and head for Dole. Easier than the uphill trek, the walk down from the Gokyo valley today shall end at Dole. Beginning from the vicinity of Third Lake and following the trail along the First and second gokyo lakes, the trail follows the mighty Dudh Koshi River emerging out of the Ngozumpa glacier. Crossing over the iron bridge and traversing through the settlement of Phangka, we move ahead in the trail. Trekking down from the village and across to the hillside we continue our walk away from the Gokyo valley. Past the chorten at the edge of the trail, we march ahead in twisting route to reach the settlement of Machherma. With the Dudh Koshi below the trail, we traverse through the hamlets of Luza and Lhabarma, graze lands, increasingly dense and lush forest todays destination of Dole comes to our sight.       We start the trek of today after the breakfast from Dole and continue in a trail gradually as we descend till Phortse Thanga through hydroelectricity power plant, forest with rhododendron and other vegetation and settlement of Tongba. From here the trail ascents to ridge of Monga Hill past the birthplace of Lama Syange Dorge and slows down as we reach to the junction trail. Exploring through the settlements of Sanasa and Kenjoma and dense forest we reach all the way to the destination of Namche Bazaar. The entire trail shall be in a slow and gradual fashion as we dont want to put unnecessary strain on our ankles before the end of this trek. Stay overnight in Namchhe Bazaar.

      In the last section where we shall be doing the physical walking on the hilly terrain, we shall have a gradual return walk to Lukla from Namche. Starting with the steep descent to the Larja Bridge past the viewpoint of Everest, we continue Monjo and exit the protected area of Sagarmatha National Park from there. In a trail with several suspension bridges festooned with prayer flags over the mighty Bhote Koshi River and its tributaries, ancient monasteries and several chortens, valleys and settlements of Benkar, Phakding, Nurning, Chheplung and others before reaching the hill town of Lukla. This brings us back to the starting point of the trail in Everest region and to the moment of celebration for the successful trek to the Gokyo valley.       Now we are ready to get back to Kathmandu and for this early flight is to be taken so as to avoid the disturbances caused by afternoon weather in this region. Your guide shall pick you up from the hotel for the airport. In a short yet memorable and scenic flight over the lush and rolling hills, views of the majestic mountains, serpentine rivers seemingly weaving the vast landscape and terraced settlements. After landing in the domestic terminal in Kathmandu airport, you shall be transferred to the hotel where you can relax and prepare for your onward flight. Later in the day you may go for some souvenir shopping or engage in any other activities if you have booked with us. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
