Transport

All the airport and hotel transfers are by private vehicles. Local Jeep drive on sharing for long-range transport. (Bhadrapur to Taplejung and Taplejung to Bhadrapur ) Both ways flights from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur and Bhadrapur to Kathmandu

All government taxes and company service charges. Arrival and departure transfers by private car/van. Oximeter to measure your Oxygen and Pulse at a high altitude. The oximeter can be very helpful to measure body conditions in high altitude Helicopter rescue service in case of any health issues while on the trek. (Should have travel insurance) Appreciation certificate from company after trip completion. Pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu before the trek

A total of 26 nights of accommodations are included in this tour. (3 nights to hotel accommodations at a 3-star category hotel in Kathmandu inclusive of breakfast.) (23 nights of teahouse accommodations inclusive of breakfast, lunch & dinner in the mountain region during the trek)

Meals

Daily breakfast during your stay in the Kathmandu hotel. Everyday full board meals during the trek (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). Nepalese cuisine farewell dinner in Kathmandu after the trek.

      Welcome to the Himalayas !!! 


      Our office representative will be waiting for you for a warm welcome holding a company plate that will help you to easily recognize him. Your trip to Nepal and every travel necessity is our responsibility now.


      Firstly, we will transfer to your respective hotel, help you check-in. You can freshen up and take a rest or rather take a short walk around the Thamel area to have a quick insight into evening life over there and experience being in a different world. Our guide will give you some briefing about our trek and routes. Overnight at hotel inclusive breakfast. 

  • Day 2 Trip Preparation And Kathmandu Sightseeing. (1400M)

      Today is a day to obtain special trekking permits of the Kanchenjunga region and you will do sightseeing around world heritage sites in Kathmandu. Mainly you will visit four cultural and historical sites that are Swyambhunath Stupa (also known as monkey temple), Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhnath Stupa and Pashupatinath temple. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 3 Fly From Kathmandu To Bhadrapur (91M.) And Drive To Phidim (Illam) : 45 Min Flight And 7 Hoursโ€™ Drive

      We will take a 45 mn morning flight to Bhadrapur and then drive to Ilam. Ilam is famous as Nepalโ€™s largest tea plantation area. We will stay overnight in Ilam.

  • Day 4 Drive To Suketar (2,420M) - 5 Hrs Drive

      We plan to drive to Taplejung. Flights can sometimes be delayed due to mountain weather and so flexibility and patience may be required. The Kanchenjunga region is home to Sherpa, Limbu, Rai and Gurung people, and Taplejung is the gateway to the region and a lively place, especially for the Saturday market. Overnight at a local lodge.

  • Day 5 Trek To Mitlung (1,545M) - 4-5 Hrs Trek

      The trails throughout the lower sections of the Kanchenjunga region pass through fertile valleys that typically produce up to three crops per year. We pass by crops of rice, millet, potatoes, cauliflower and green vegetables. Gradually heading in a northerly direction the trail steepens after a few hours before a final descent of 350 meters on a muddy trail to Mitlung. Overnight at local lodge.

  • Day 6 Trek To Chiruwa (1,270M) - 6-7 Hrs Walk

      The trail ascends and descends steadily for approx. 4 hours as we make our way towards the Tamor Khola and the valley floor at Nagadin. This area is significant to the history of Nepal and is where the first Kirati warriors originated from. The Kirati was the first who attempted to unite all the Himalayan Kingdoms into a single sovereign state. There is a final ascent into Chiruwa, a village tucked away between a steep hillside and the river. Overnight at a local lodge.

  • Day 7 Trek To Sukethum (1,575M) - 6 Hrs Walk

      The stage from Chiruwa to Sukethum passes through varied landscapes such as cardamom fields and dense forests. This area does experience landslides and we will need to check in with the National Park check post before Taplechok before proceeding, if there have been recent landslides we may need to take an alternative trail.

  • Day 8 Trek To Amjilosa (2,310M) - 6 Hrs Walk

      The stage from Sukethum to Amjilosa is a challenging day. After crossing the suspension bridge outside Sukethum we enter dense forest once again until the valley narrows into the steep gorge country. The sound of the river is deafening and waterfalls cascade down either side of the gorge. Great care needs to be taken on this section of the trek. Our final approach to Amjilosa is a series of steep switchbacks which ease after a few hours with another hour of easier gradient before reaching Amjilosa.

  • Day 9 Trek To Gyabla (2,730M) - 6 Hrs Walk

      We will pass through rhododendron and bamboo forests. After an ascent, we will come across a big waterfall on the side of the river which points to our destination Gyabla, one of the best places with gorgeous views of the surrounding.

  • Day 10 Trek To Ghunsa (3,595M) - 5 Hrs Walk

      From Gyabla, the trail crosses a large meadow, a village, and a hill. Then, we will descend and cross a river to reach the village of Gunsa. Gunsa is a large Tibetan village with wooden houses, a school, a health post, and a micro hydropower plant. It also has Kanchenjunga Conservation Area and few Gompas where people share their travel stories. We will stay in the largest and last village of the valley.

  • Day 11 Acclimatization Day

      Acclimatization Day

      For the acclimatization, we will hike to the other side of the river to gain about 400m elevations. It takes about 4 hours for the roundtrip. Rest of the day we will explore the picturesque Tibetan village and get acquainted with its people.

      The stage to Kambachen is arguably the most spectacular day on the trek. We pass through meadows full of wildflowers in the springtime, and we will pass through forests of rhododendron and pine with a backdrop of impressive mountain scenery. We are early in the season, and so conditions should be expected to be cold and there will most likely be snow on the ground, depending on the winter, there may be substantial snow cover when we are at higher altitudes and this may slow our

      progress over the coming days. Once we reach the terminal moraine of the Kanchenjunga glacier we traverse a hillside and descend to Kambachen.

  • Day 13 Trek To Lhonak (4,780M) - 6 Hrs Walk

      Today will be another challenging day and an early start is needed. We climb lateral moraine for an hour before reaching a landslide section with large boulders which we must pass through at a steady pace. The trail then climbs steeply to the top of a section of lateral moraine and then eases off before arriving in Lhonak.

  • Day 14 Trek To Kanchenjunga Base Camp (5,140M) And Back To Lho - 7 Hrs Walk

      Leaving Lhonak, we will go east following the same glacier on the northern ridges to reach KBC. It is also called Pang Pema, with beautiful mountain views. We will head back to Lhonak to spend the night in lower elevation.

  • Day 15 Trek Back To Ghunsa (3,595M) - 6 Hrs Walk

      We will retrace our steps back to Ghunsa, where we will spend the night.

  • Day 16 Trek To Sele La Kharka (4,200M) - 7 Hrs Walk

      We will follow a steep, rocky trail through a forest that emerges at High Camp. The Sele la Kharka is just above the high pass where we will spend the night.

  • Day 17 Trek Over Sele La Pass And Trek Down To Tseram (3,870M) - 9 -10 Hrs Walk

      It is one of the most exciting days of the trek as itโ€™s a walk through two passes: Sele La pass (4480m) and Sinion La (4660m). After the final pass, we descend for about 1000m to reach Tseram where we stay the night.

  • Day 18 Trek To Oktang Base Camp (4730M) And Back To Ramche (4500M) - 8 Hrs Walk

      From Tseram, we will pass through the snout of Yalung Glacier into an eroded valley. The peaks of this region span the Nepal- India border. There is a lake and a meadow in Ramche. Blue sheep can also be seen on the grassy slopes. From Ramche, we will move through rocky trails and moraines to finally reach Oktang Glacier. From, there we will trace the trail back to Ramche.

  • Day 19 Trek Back To Tseram (3,870M) - 6 Hrs Walk

      From Ramche, we will trace our steps back to Tseram where we will spend the night.

  • Day 20 Trek To Lamite Bhanjyang (3,370M) - 6 Hrs Walk

      We will descend through SimbuwaKhola while retracing our steps. As the descent is easier, we will get enough time to admire the surrounding views and orchids in the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area. We will pass through Toronton and then reach Lamite Bhanjyang, below Amjikhola. We will stay there overnight.

  • Day 21 Trek To Yamphudin (1,690M) - 6 Hrs Walk

      We will travel through Lamite Bhanjyang which is basically a dense forest of pine trees. We will be accompanied by the singing birds throughout. We will cross the AmjiKhola and then descend to Yamphudin and spend the night there.

  • Day 22 Trek To Phumphe (1780M) - 6 Hrs Walk

      We will make a descend on this day as we walk along the KabeliKhola. There are waterfalls of various sizes throughout the trail. We will finally reach Phumphe to spend the night.

  • Day 23 Trek To Kunjari (1,700M) - 6 Hrs Walk

      From Phumphe, we will first climb a ridge and then descend through a series of side valleys past Phun village. After reaching Kesawa, we will ascend to Bhanjyang which is a Gurung settlement. From there, the trail traverses a ridge and descends to Kunjari, a Limbu village. We will stay the night here on the banks of Pha Khola.

  • Day 24 Trek To Taplejung (1,580M) - 5 Hrs Walk

      It is the last day of trekking as we go to Suketar of Taplejung. It involves more climbing than descends and hence is an exhausting day. We will stay overnight in Taplejung.

  • Day 25 Drive To Bhadrapur

      On this day, we will take a long drive to Birtamod of Bhadrapur. We will stay in Birtamod for the night.

  • Day 26 Fly Back To Kathmandu

      Fly Back To Kathmandu

      We can spend the whole day resting, packing and souvenir shopping for loved ones. We can even visit anywhere we like in Kathmandu. A farewell dinner will be hosted in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of our Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek. Overnight in Kathmandu.
