Accommodation
You will be accommodated at Hotel Thamel Park or a similar hotel during your stay in Kathmandu. Your accommodation will be at Kuti Resort or a similar hotel in Pokhara. Both hotels provide comfortable and convenient amenities to ensure a pleasant stay. The rooms will be twin-sharing, allowing you to share the room with your fellow traveler or a travel companion. If you prefer a single room for your trip, a single supplement can be arranged upon request. The single supplement cost will be an additional USD 200. However, please note that single rooms may only be available in some locations, especially at higher elevations during the trek. In Kathmandu and lower-elevation trekking regions, single rooms are more readily available, but teahouses with shared washing and toilet facilities are more common at higher elevations. Rest assured; Peregrine Treks will make every effort to provide rooms with attached washrooms during your trek. However, it is essential to be aware that in some remote areas, teahouses may only have shared washing and toilet facilities. This is part of the authentic trekking experience and adds to the charm of the journey. If you have any specific accommodation preferences or requirements, please communicate them to Peregrine Treks in advance, and they will do their best to accommodate your needs.

Our utmost priority is the safety of both our guests and staff. We closely monitor the evolving Coronavirus/COVID-19 situation and have implemented several measures to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Here are the steps we are taking: 1. Vaccinated Guides: All our guides are fully vaccinated, which helps safeguard their well-being and that of our visitors. 2. Mask and Glove Usage: Our tour guides will wear masks. They will also wear gloves when sanitizing, conducting temperature checks, opening/closing doors, and providing hand sanitizer to guests. 3. Temperature Monitoring: Our guides will frequently check their temperatures to monitor for fever. If they are feeling unwell or have a fever, they will not work. After an illness, guides can return to work after receiving a negative COVID-19 test or being fever-free for 14 days. 4. Vehicle Sanitization: Before each tour, our guides will thoroughly sanitize and wipe down all surfaces inside the vehicle to ensure cleanliness. 5. Non-Contact Thermometer: Before guests enter the vehicle at their pickup location, our tour guides will use a non-contact thermometer to check for fever. If anyone has a fever or travels with others with a fever (temperature must be less than 100.4ยบF or 38.0ยบC), they will not be allowed to enter the vehicle. 6. Restricted Front Seat: The vehicleโs front seat will be off-limits to guests to maintain distance between guests and the guide. 7. Non-Compliance Policy: If a guest jeopardizes the health and safety of others by refusing to wear a mask or abide by social distancing guidelines, they will be removed from the tour, and no refund will be issued. 8. Door Handling: Only our tour guides will open and close the vehicle doors during the excursion to minimize contact. 9. Mask Requirements: Guests must wear masks for the entire tour, except in locations where masks are not mandatory. Guests must bring their masks, and those without masks will not be allowed on the tour, with no refund provided. As per CDC guidelines, children under five or medically compromised are exempted from wearing masks. However, children aged five and above must wear face coverings. 10. Social Distancing: Guests must maintain a 6-foot distance from the guide, other guests not in their party, partner staff, and patrons. 11. Sanitization at Stops: Our tour guides will use sanitary wipes to disinfect commonly touched areas inside the vehicle at each stop. 12. Hand Sanitizer/Wipes: Upon reentering the vehicle, our tour guides will provide hand sanitizer or wipes to each customer. 13. Post-Tour Sanitization: At the end of each tour, all surfaces inside the vehicle will be thoroughly sanitized and wiped down. 14. Limited Group Size: To ensure better social distancing and a more controlled environment, we limit the number of guests on our tours to 8 people. Additionally, when making a reservation, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and home address. This information allows us to contact all other guests on a tour if we receive notification that a guest has tested positive for COVID-19. Rest assured, we will communicate our plans and activities clearly and directly to ensure we continue offering tours in the safest possible environment.
