  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu Transfer To Hotel.

      Sherpa Expedition & Trekking staff will be there to greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to your hotel, followed by a briefing covering all aspects of the trek. With time to spare you can explore the tourist hub of Thamel. 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Drive To Besisahar In A Bus & Take A Jeep To Syange (1,100M) 7-8 Hours.

      Today we will take a public bus from Kathmandu to Besisahar, about a 6-hour ride, from where we will take a local shared 4WD for another two hours before reaching Syange Village where we will stay overnight.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Trek To Tal (1,700M) 5-6 Hours.

      Today we hit the trail and follow the beautiful Marsyangdi River, gradually heading higher before ascending to Tal where we will stay overnight. Along the trail, we will see several waterfalls cascading down into the river.

      Today we move away from the Marsyangdi River and head along the trail toward Danaque with some awesome views of Annapurna II and Pisang Peak as well as passing through several very old villages. We will stay overnight at Danaque.

      Today we continue our trek to Chame walking through dense forest and along the banks of the Marsyangdi River. We finally reach Chame from where we can see Annapurna II. We will stay here overnight. 


  • Day 6 Day 6: Trek To Upper Pisang (3,300 M) 4-5 Hours.

      We walk through a sheer narrow valley to finally have our first view of Paungda Danda, a massive curved rock face towering 1500m up from the Marsyangdi River. From here we can look skyward to the massive Annapurna II and Pisang Peaks. We will then head down to Manang Valley while enjoying the stunning terrain. Tonight we will stay at a guesthouse in Pisang.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Trek To Ngawal (3,660M) 5-6 Hours.

      Rising early we can witness a beautiful sunrise and first rays over Annapurna II. We will then continue our trek towards Ngawal. The trail to Ngawal is about 400m higher than the alternative lower trail but you will have much better views looking down into the gorges, as well as trekking through some amazing fauna and flora at this higher altitude. You will also have better views of Annapurna II and III and Pisang Peak. We will stay the night at Ngawal.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Trek To Manang (3,500M) Via Bhraka (3,360M) 3-4 Hours.

      Today we follow the trail through the hills and forested areas, with various Buddhist structures visible on the way. There are stupas and also a Lama school. We will then reach Manang where we will stay overnight.


  • Day 9 Day 9: Acclimatization Day At Manang Village.

      It is strongly recommended by health experts to stay active when spending time acclimatizing. We will take a short trek to Bhojo Gumba โ€“ a monastery or to Gangapurna Lake. If we have the energy, we can even hike to Vraga Village where we can visit the Himalayan Rescue Association who can enlighten us about the condition of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Tonight we will stay at a guesthouse in Manang.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Trek To Yak Kharka (4,000M) 4-5 Hours.

      After leaving Manang we cross the river before coming to Tenki Village and then continue up the Marsyangdi Valley passing several small villages, such as Ghunsa, and pass through some scrubby terrain, all the while ascending to a higher altitude. We will see yak and mountain horses grazing on the alpine pastures before reaching Yak Kharka where we will stay overnight at a guesthouse.

      Today we spend two hours ascending to Thorong Phedi (4,450m) where we will stay at one of the newly constructed guesthouses overnight.

  • Day 12 Day 12: Trek To Muktinath Via Thorung La Pass (5,416M) 8-9 Hours.

      Today is very likely the most physically demanding day of the trek. The higher altitude contributes to the degree of difficulty and sometimes strong winds in these upper regions. Along the trail, we may pass sheep, yaks, and merchants transporting their goods. Once we reach Thorong La Pass we will be rewarded with majestic views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, and the eye-catching peak of Khatungkang (6484m). After leaving the pass we descend around 1600 meters. The dazzling Mt. Dhaulagiri (Dhavali giri, meaning โ€œWhite Mountainโ€) is the highest mountain that is entirely in Nepal. The trail down is more undulating and fairly easy prior to reaching Muktinath where we stay the night.

      After leaving Muktinath we descend around 1200 meters to the Kali Gandaki River valley with a short stop at Ekle Bhatti (meaning one inn) a small village with 3-4 teahouses. From here our trek follows a winding trail for another 2 hours until we reach Jomson, the headquarters of the Mustang region near the Kali Gandaki River. A relatively easy 2-hour trek from Jomson leads to Marpha where we stay the night. 

  • Day 14 Day 14: Trek To Kalopani (2,530M) 5-6 Hours.

      Today is a downhill trek that follows along the banks of the Kali Gandaki River. Along the trail we will have some great views of Annapurna I and pass through some gorgeous countryside before reaching Kalopani where we will stay the night.

  • Day 15 Day 15: Trek To Tatopani (1,190M) 5-6 Hours.

      Today we continue to descend through Kali Gandaki River Valley the worldโ€™s deepest gorge. Tatopani is famous for its hot mineral springs and is a great place to remove any aches and pains. We will stay overnight at Tatopani.


  • Day 16 Day 16: Trek To Ghorepani (2,810M) 7-8 Hours.

      Today we ascend 1670 meters, quite a tough day, and pass through more cultivated terraced farmland and climb through a spectacular rhododendron (especially in the springtime) and magnolia forest, and of course have a panoramic view of the mountains. Tonight we stay at Ghorepani with its stunning views of the Annapurna Ranges and Machapuchare (fishtail) -one of the few unclimbed peaks in Nepal due to its religious status โ€“ home to Lord Shiva. 

  • Day 17 Day 17: Hike To Poon Hill (3,210M) & Trek To Tikhedunga (1,480M) 6-7 Hours.

      In order to catch the sunrise we will have an early start and then trek up to Poon hill to watch the sunrise, an eye-catching experience that will have you mesmerized. As dawn approaches the change in colors will be a magical experience where you camera will go into overdrive!  This has to be one of the best places, on any trek, to view the Annapurnas, Dhaulagiri, and its many snow-capped peaks. This is a truly unforgettable experience and will give you photos to boast about long after you leave Nepal. We will then head back to Ghorepani for breakfast. The first leg of our trek after leaving Ghorepani takes us through Bhanthati and then down a steep descent to Tikhedhunga where we will stay the night. 

  • Day 18 Day 18: Trek To Nayapul (1,010M) And Drive To Pokhara (850M) 5-6 Hours.

      After leaving Tikhedhunga we head downhill passing through farming villages and several waterfalls before reaching the charming village of Birethanti situated right beside the Modi River where we stop for lunch. After lunch, we trek for another 30 minutes until we reach Nayapul where we take a jeep to Pokhara where we stay at Lakeside (next to Few Tal - lake). You will have time to walk beside the lake, take a boat ride and browse the many shops. Tonight we can party and celebrate the conclusion of our amazing adventure. 

  • Day 19 Day 19: Drive Back To Kathmandu (1,400 M) 6-7 Hours.

      Today we head back on a 6 to 7 hour drive to Kathmandu taking with us many fond memories of Nepal and its unique culture and geography. These memories will last you a lifetime!
