Accommodation

We will be accommodated in Samsara Resort or Thamel Eco Resort or Hotel Thamel or similar in Kathmandu; Kuti Resort or similar hotel in Pokhara, and teahouses during the trek. All accommodations are on twin-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request. Oriental Journeys will arrange rooms with attached washrooms; however, teahouses in some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. Also note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu and the trekking regions at lower elevation but it might be difficult to find them at higher elevations

Meals

All meals will be provided during trekking while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu. While on trek, we have breakfast and dinner in the tea-houses/lodges we spend the night and lunch on our way to the next destination. Nepalese, Tibetan, the more common continental and Indian cuisines are common choices in the menu.

  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport

      Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport

      After your plane is landed, you have to finish your custom and go to the immigration for the visa process. For this, you need one auto size picture and visa fee of $25 for 15 days and $40 for one month and $100 for three months. 

      The company representative of Oriental Journeys will be waiting for you in front of the arrival gate for the warm welcoming in the Tribhuvan International Airport by holding the playing card with your name. Then you will be transferred to the hotel in Thamel where we will give a brief about the trip and the trekking gears. If you have more time, we will introduce your guide and the guide will give you a short information about the trekking itinerary and trekking kits essential to them.  Overnight stay at hotel in Kathmandu. 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Drive To Chamje

      Day 2: Drive To Chamje

      After breakfast, we start our journey early morning from Kathmandu to Chamje. After 6 hours drive from Kathmandu, we will reach Besi Sahar. There is a good quality of road until Besisahar and after this, you have to drive in an off-road.  

      The road passes many of the village, terrace rice field; beautiful huts, river gorge, and cliff make you happy. Arrive Chamje take shower and be fresh. The available best room would be provided by your guide and overnight at Lodge. It is better to order your breakfast for tomorrow morning.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Trek From Chamje To Dharapani

      Day 3: Trek From Chamje To Dharapani

      After breakfast, we start the trekking early morning from Kathmandu and heading towards Chamje. After 6 hours of driving, we get off in Besisahar and change our vehicle. The road condition until Besisahar is quite good. Then we have to travel in off-road for 3 hours to reach to Chamje. The road passes many of the village, terrace rice field; beautiful huts, river gorge, and cliff make you happy. You can take a shower once you arrive in Chamje. The available best room would be provided by your guide and overnight at Lodge. It is better to order your breakfast in the evening.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Trek To Chame

      Day 4: Trek To Chame

      You will have breakfast and start your trek to Chame which takes approximately 6 hours. The trail starts steep climb after passing Danaque village, 2 hours more to reach Tamang village with exquisite views of Mt. Manaslu (8156 m) and Neighbor Mountain from Tamang village, will have a cup of tea relaxing with closer view from here then continue to Chame on high road along with pine forest then arrive Kotto, where there is police entry point again 20 minutes walking to reach Chame, has first views of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal. You will be close with your staff so it is easy to time pass talking and playing a card when you reach the camp.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Trek To Pisang

      Day 5: Trek To Pisang

      After our breakfast, you will cross the suspension bridge and can see the Tibetan Mani wall and beautiful painting gate where you like to take out your camera to take some shots then continue your trek. The trails go up through the alpine forest and again cross the suspension bridge. From there you have yo follow steep path where you will enjoy your walk along with amazing black big rocky mountain. You will have your lunch in Dhukur Pokhari or cross it and arrive Pisang. Pisang is a very beautiful place  with splendid and closer view of Mt. Annapurna and Pisang Peak. You will feel thin air when you rest and start to walk with hard breathing because of high elevation. If you have time, better to climb upper Pisang to acclimatize your body.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Trek To Mangng Via Ghyaru

      Day 6: Trek To Mangng Via Ghyaru

      From today, we start the upper part of Manang District which is cut off the monsoon rain by the Annapurna Himalayan range. So we begin to notice a contrast of beautiful landscape and vegetation in this upper part of the Manang District. There are alternate trails after passing by Pisang village. On the left side of Marshangdi River is called lower Pisang by Hyude airstrip involves less climbing route and on the right side is called upper Pisang route comparatively steeper and hard but you enjoy spectacular views mighty mountain and landscape from Braga Tibetan style village. Both routes come tougher at Mungi after some walking reach, hidden village Baraka nearby Manag where we will spend a couple of nights.

      Today, after our breakfast, we make some steep walk up to Gangapurna Viewpoint (3800 m) to avoid the mountain sickness in Yak Kharka, Thorong Phedi, and Thorang pass (5416 m) and come back hotel for lunch and take some rest then go to Himalayan Rescue Association hall at 3 oclock give some information about high altitude sickness. How you and your team prepare for Thorang Pass. Come back and spent night at the same Lodge

  • Day 8 Day 8: Trek To Yak Kharka

      Day 8: Trek To Yak Kharka

      Todays walking trail from Manang to Yakkharka offer the spectacular views of Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna Iv, Gangapurna Tilicho Mountain and you cant stop to take photos even you are in a breathtaking walk. Todays trekking course is not far distance but make your walking slowly with your staffs teaching your language and culture as well as learn some Nepali words to make easy walking. The trails take 3 to 4 hours to arrive Yakkharka (4000 m) or go to Leder (4200m) one more hour, depends on your health condition. When you arrive at the Lodge keep you warm your body, try to move around and drink plenty of water or Garlic soup to make warm your body.  Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

  • Day 9 Day 9: Trek To Thorong Phedi (4650M) Or High Camp (4800)

      Day 9: Trek To Thorong Phedi (4650M) Or High Camp (4800)

      Today also not far distance walking from Yakkharka to Thorang Phedi just three to four your but depends on your health condition into the thin air and weather condition. If you are in winter season, the trekking path covered with the snow and ice. Walking in the Iceland is too dangerous so walk slowly and try to see blue sheep and yak on the front side of the river. Around 3 hours walking you will see the alternate trails not so big difference. Take right side path if there is no snow on the trail. When you cross the river, you will face the short climb and will follow flat land. There is rock falling area too dangerous so walk with your guide. You will arrive Thorong Phedi (4600m) with lazy and tired walking but still, try to drink plenty of water. Have some rest here, if you and your staffs condition is good can climb High camp (4800 m) to make shorter for tomorrow morning but follow your guide.

  • Day 10 Day 10: High Camp To Muktinath Via Thorang Pass (5416M)

      Today, Thorang La passes (5416 m) one of the highest passes in the world would be one of the hardest days of your trekking itinerary. We wake up early morning at 3:30 and start our walking four Oclock if you slept in Thorong Phedi and five oclock from High camp to avoid windy walking after 11 Oclock. There are no Tea houses on the top so feel your bottle with the hot water and carry head light with you when you start the walk. It is three to four hours breathtaking steep walk to the top. Beautiful spectacular views of the mountain with you on the both side will offer you to take some shots. The trekkers have decorated the top with Buddhist prayer flag and have the small sign board on a top of the pass Thorong La 5416 meters. Some of the trekkerโ€™s eyes will cry with the bobbling over of success but dont take a long time here more possible get mountain sickness because still you have a long way to descend (1616m) to Muktinath is one of the most popular holy places for Hindu and Buddhist. There is not only splendid and panoramic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8172m) Annapurna in front of your eyes but also can see an amazing landscape. Overnight at Lodge

      After your breakfast, we take local Jeep and drive to Tatopani via Jomsom, Kalopani, Ghasa. It was the trekking camp a few years ago but now better to take Jeep because of dusty driving busy road and Have to Change Jeep in Jomsom and Ghasa due to the Local Jeep driving community not allowed in one Jeep to Tatopani. There is amazing hot spring to take bath in natural Sawona with a bottle of beer if you like because you are already in 1100 meter elevation. Spend your night in the Lodge.

      It is better to start early because of the hot weather in this area. The trail leads steeply uphill through the terraced farmland and passes beautiful Gurung village with Green Mountain nearby you and snow-capped mountain in the little far distance. When you pass the lunch place Chitre, The trail gradually up through the beautiful National flower Laligurans (Rhododendron flower ). It takes 8 to 9 hours all the way up to Ghorepani, located at a top of the green hill. This place is closer from Pokhara and Panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range so it is one of the most popular places between domestic and foreigner tourist destinations.

      Panoramic views from Ghorepani are not enough for every traveler and wake up early in the morning around 4:30 take some water, flashlight and Camera then hike all the way up to Poon Hill through the rhododendron forest in the dark night. It takes about one hour to the top (3210 m) has a spectacular panoramic view of sunrise upon the Himalayas. Every people climb viewpoint ladder to takes photos and relaxed their eyes then back to Lodge for breakfast and again descent down to the Tikhedhunga to catch Jeep for Pokhara (Lake Side) where they have star level tourist hotels and restaurant provides Nepali, Indian, Chinese, Korean, Italian continental food offering picturesque views of Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri and Phewa Lake views. Pokhara is the clean city with a spectacular view also called entrance of Annapurna Mountain. Overnight at 3-star hotel but dinner is not included to choose variety on the last day of long trekking.

      .We drive to Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway in the morning after breakfast. It takes 6 hours approximately, 210 km far to Kathmandu. Sometimes could belong traffic Jam, entering Kathmandu valley. Arrive at the hotel and dinner is not included. Overnight at 3-star hotel
