Hot shower and battery charging at the tea houses. Tips for the guide, porter, and driver (tipping is expected) Excess baggage of more than 15 kg for Lukla flight. Please be advised that if you need to return early from the trek due to reasons such as sickness, unfavorable weather conditions, personal issues, itinerary modifications, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the following conditions apply: - Any payments made for flights, hotel accommodations, mountain room bookings, meals, and related expenses are nonrefundable. - You will be required to cover the costs of hotel stays, meals, and other expenses in Kathmandu independently. Additionally, please note that during the months of March to May and September to November, all flights will depart from Ramechhap. It will be necessary for you to make a 4-5 hour drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap in order to catch your flight. Kindly consider these terms and arrangements carefully before commencing your trek.   • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu Airport (1,400 M/ 4593 Ft)

      On arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will be met by a representative from Sherpa Expedition & Trekking and taken to your hotel in Thamel โ€“ the tourist hub of Kathmandu. You can rest at your hotel or wander around Thamel and do some last-minute shopping and take in the sights. We will meet later and will supply you with our trek duffel bag and cap. For the meeting, please be sure you bring your passport, three passport-size photos and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. During this meeting, please clear the due balance due, if any, and sign the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer. No meals included.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Fly To Lukla (2804 M) & Trek To Manjo (2,825 M/9,268 Ft) 5-6 Hours.

      We get up early this morning at around 5 am or 6 am to catch our 30-minute flight to Lukla. On arrival at Lukla, we will have breakfast and arrange our porters for the trek โ€“ one porter for every two clients. We begin our trek by descending towards the Dudh Kosi River where we join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, located just above Chaurikharka (2,713 m). The walking is relatively easy and then we arrive at the small village of Ghat (2,550m). Not much further on is Phakding and then Manjo.

      Tonight we will stay at Everest Summit Lodge or Yeti Mountain Home or similar class guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.


  • Day 3 Day 3: Trek To Namche Bazar (3,840 M/12,598 Ft) 5-6 Hours.

      This morning we follow the trail along the banks of the Dudh Kosi (river), crossing this river many times on swaying suspension bridges festooned with colorful Tibetan prayer flags. After officially entering Sagamartha National Park the trail climbs steeply and offers some breathtaking mountain views. Namche Bazaar is known as the gateway to Everest and has many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchange, internet cafe, and a bakery. Namche Bazaar is one of the largest villages on the Everest trail.

      Tonight we will stay at Yeti Mountain Home or Hotel Namche or similar class guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.


  • Day 4 Day 4: Namche Bazar Acclimatization Day.

      Day 4: Namche Bazar Acclimatization Day.

      Today we will stay at Namche Bazaar in order to acclimatize, which is crucially important before heading to higher altitudes later on the trek. Health experts recommend staying active during this period in order to better acclimatize. We can choose to take a trek to Thame or visit Khunde or use this time to explore Namche Bazaar and visit the weekly market that is held on Friday evening and on Saturday morning. Your guide will also take you to see the Tourist Visitor Center near to the headquarters of the Sagarmatha National Park that has an interesting display of equipment and remnants of the first Everest climbers. You can also learn a lot about the flora and fauna of the region. 

      We will stay overnight at Yeti Mountain Home or Hotel Namche or similar class guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

      On the trail to Tengboche, we have views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse Shar, Taboche, Khangtega, and Thamserku peaks. Further along the trail, we come to the army post at Phunke Tenga. The afternoon leaves us free to pay a visit to the Buddhist monastery at Tengboche. We can also trek up a steep hill to the Sagamartha National Park headquarters. There is also a Buddhist monastery here at Pangboche to visit. 

      We will stay overnight at Everest Summit Lodge or a similar class guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Trek To Dingboche (4,350 M/14,271 Ft) 4-5 Hours.

      Today our trek is uphill and takes us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its wonderful views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. We take our time so as to avoid getting affected by the higher altitude.

      We will stay overnight at Hotel Bright Star or a similar class guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.


  • Day 7 Day 7: Hike Up To Chhukung (4,710 M/15,452 Ft) & Trek Back To Dingboche.

      Today is another day set aside to acclimatize and in order to improve this process, we will head to Chhukung Valley via the Imja Khola valley and get some stunning view of the surrounding mountains, especially of Lhotseโ€™s massive south wall. We will then return to Dingboche in the evening.

      We will stay overnight at Hotel Bright Star or a similar class guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.


  • Day 8 Day 8: Trek To Lobuche (4,910 M/16,108 Ft) 5-6 Hours.

      Today we follow the trail across the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and pass stone memorials for climbers who have died while attempting to climb some of the nearby mountains. We continue ascending and reach an altitude of 4,910m / 16,018ft at Lobuche at the foot of the huge Lobuche peak. It becomes harder to breathe at these higher altitudes and we tire quickly. Tonight we stay at Hotel Oxygen or similar class guesthouse. Accommodation here is with a shared toilet and bathroom. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Trek To Everest Base Camp (5,365 M/17,601 Ft) & Back To Gorak Shep (5,180 M/16,994 Ft) 7-8 Hours.

      This is a physically challenging day as we follow the trail along the Khumbu Glacier and then up to Everest Base Camp at 5365m / 17,601ft. This is as close to Mt. Everest you can reach without using mountaineering equipment. The view of the Khumbu Glacier from EBC is impressive. We will then return to Gorakshep for the night and stay at Hotel Yeti or similar class guesthouse. Accommodation with shared toilet and bathroom. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Hike Up To Kalapatthar (5,555 M/18,225 Ft) & Trek Down To Pheriche (4,300M) 7-8 Hours.

      Today we head out on the trail to Kala Patthar a relatively small mountain (by comparison with other Himalayan peaks) at 5555m / 18,225ft. The ascent is tough going but on arriving at the peak you can see Mt. Everest (at 29,028ft, 8848m) directly ahead of you and other huge mountains such as Nuptse, Pumori, Changtse, Lhotse, and other snow-covered peaks. We then descend to Gorakshep, a tiny settlement at 5180 meters then continue down to Pangboche village where we will stay at the best lodge available. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

      Leaving Pangboche also means leaving the mountains behind us as we descend to Tengboche Monastery (3,860m / 12,664 ft) and then continue to Namche Bazaar (3441m / 11,289ft). We expect to arrive back into Namche Bazaar in the afternoon.

      We will stay overnight at Yeti Mountain Home or Hotel Namche or similar class Guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

      Today we return to Lukla where our trek began. On arriving at Lukla we have time to look back on our exciting adventure and then wander around the Lukla.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Fly Back To Kathmandu From Lukla.

      This morning we have a 35-minute scenic flight over the mountains before arriving at Kathmandu. We will then take you to your hotel.  If you are looking to extend your trip, there are several options, such as a visit to Chitwan National Park (known for its amazing wildlife) or a trip to Pokhara, considered one of the most beautiful cities of Nepal. You can also extend your stay with a tour to Tibet, India or Bhutan. 

      We will stay overnight at a five-star hotel - breakfast included.

      Your trip ends today and a representative from Sherpa Expedition and Trekking will drop you to Kathmanduโ€™s Tribhuvan International Airport at least three hours prior to your departure from Nepal. On your journey home you may already be thinking about another adventure into the vast Himalayan landscape.
