Airport Pick up and drop off by private car/Jeep Shared Bus to Sotikhola and regular bus back to Kathmandu from Besishar. Shared Jeep from Tal- Besishar.

Accommodation

Double or twin sharing accommodation in a three-star hotel in Kathmandu; Breakfast (1 night) included. Guesthouse accommodation during the trek in mostly twin-share and occasionally dormitory-style rooms.

Meals

Three meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) during the trek.

Others

Manaslu Special permit and Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) (MCAP) entry permit & Tourist Information Management System (TIMS) permits. Government taxes and official expenses. Assistant guide group size above 8+ persons. Down Jacket and sleeping bag by Uma Holidays Travels & Tours (which needs to be returned after the trek.)

Meals whilst you are in Kathmandu Lunch and Dinner. Nepal entry visa fee (You can easily issue a visa on arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport โ€“ Kathmandu). $40 USD for 30 days visa. Your Trekking and medical insurance (compulsory). Your personal expenses. All the alcoholic and non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks. Tips for the guide, porter, and driver (Tipping is expected). Laundry, telephone and personal trekking equipment. Hot shower and battery charging on the tea houses.

Optional

A Strong, helpful porter with proper equipment (one porter for two people; porter will carry 20-25kg weight). If required we will provide but the price will be Extra USD 18 per day.

  • Day 1 Day 1: Drive From Kathmandu To Sotikhola (710M) 7-8 Hours.

      Day 1: Drive From Kathmandu To Sotikhola (710M) 7-8 Hours.

      At around 5:30 am your guide will pick you up from your hotel for our 8 hour trip to Soti Khola. The first four hours on the road is along a sealed section, but after passing Dhading Bensi (1050m) the road is unsealed and rough as we continue to Arughat and Soti Khola, the district headquarters of Dhading district. We will stay overnight at a guest house.

      This morning we are out on the trail and head through the woods and upriver along the banks of the Budhi Gandaki River, and then descend to the riverbed and along a trail over the mountains where we can expect to have frequent views down to the river down below. Tonight we will stay at a guest house at Machha Khola.

      Today we cross the Machha Khola River, pass through Khorlabesi (920m) and then come to Tatopani, well-known for its therapeutic hot springs. The trail then leads through a forested area as we head to the Dovan Khola (river) and to the Budhi Gandaki Valley. As we trek to higher altitudes you will see the change in the vegetation. We will stay at Jagat Village at a guesthouse overnight.

      Today we pass through the valley to Sirdibas where there are impressive views of Shringi Himal. After crossing the suspension bridge there is a steep climb to Philim, with views of waterfalls cascading down from the mountains into the valley. Our next destination is Ekle Bhatti and then Pewa Village as we head through the valley until we arrive at Deng Village where we will stay the night at a guest house.

      We start the day with a steep climb and then return back down to the Budi Gandaki River. As we get nearer to Namrung you will see Mani stones (stones with carved with Tibetan mantras) that remind us that we are approaching territory inhabited by Tibetan Buddhists. This afternoon we will take a short detour to Prok village (2 hour round trip) and then return to Namrung where we will stay the night at a guest house.

      As we walk between the Mani stone walls of Lho Village you will have this feeling of stepping back in time - a place untouched over time. From Lho we can see the snow-covered peak of Ngadi Chuli (7871m aka Peak 29). Another short detour takes us up to the Pungen Glacier from where we have an in-your-face view of Mt. Manaslu. We will stay overnight at a guest house. 

  • Day 7 Day 7: Acclimatization Day At Samagaon.

      Today we dedicate our time to acclimatize before heading higher. Health professionals suggest that you stay active during the day to better improve the acclimatization process. Today we have a choice of either a full day or a half-day trek. The full-day trek heads to Manaslu Base Camp (4750m), a 6 to 7-hour return journey, or we can choose the half-day trek that will take us to a glacier across the valley, or to Birendra Ta. Tonight we will stay at a guest house. 

  • Day 8 Day 8: Trek From Samagaon To To Samdo (3,860M) 3-4 Hours.

      Today we head out across the pastures and then down to the valley floor with some grand views of the surrounding peaks on the trail - particularly of Mt. Manaslu. Our next stop is the isolated Tibetan refugee village of Samdo near the Tibetan border. The afternoon is free for you to stroll around the village and close to the countryside.  Tonight we will stay at a guest house.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Trek From Samdo To Dharamsala. (4,460M) 4-5 Hours.

      This morning we cross some rivers before coming to Larkya Bazaar, a trading post for traders heading down from Tibet. We then climb up a steep trail until we arrive at Dharamsala where we will stay overnight in a guest house.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Cross Larkya La Pass (5,160M) & Trek Down To Bimtang (3,720M) 8-9 Hours.

      We have a tough day in front of us as we follow the trail via Larkya La Pass (5106m/17,121 ft) to Bhimthang. Firstly we climb to Cho Chanda and then up to the sheer snow-covered pass. The views from here of many surrounding snow-covered peaks are truly outstanding. The Himalayan mountains of Himlung Himal (7126m), Cheo Himal (6820m), Gyaji Kung (7030m), Kang Koru (698m) and Annapurna II (7937m) are clearly visible. We then head down a steep trail and across moraines until we come to Bhimthang Village where we will stay at a guest house tonight.

      Today we follow a trail along a ridge and enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas. We head through alpine pastures, cross the Dudh Khola (river), walk through the rhododendron forest before coming to the village of Gho. We continue on until we come to Tilije where we will stay at a guest house overnight. 

  • Day 12 Day 12: Trek From Tilije To Tal (1700M) 5-6 Hours.

      Today we head to the village of Tal, well known for its beautiful waterfall. The trail follows ridges, stone pathways, Mani walls and Chorten before coming to the village of Thonje. Next we come to Dharapani and then cross the Marsyangdi River before coming to Tal where we will stay at a guest house overnight.

      Our trekking on the Manaslu circuit ends today as we take a jeep to Besisahar and then a bus to Kathmandu. We will then take you to your hotels in Thamel where you can relax and look back on this amazing adventure.
