A representative from Oriental Journeys will be there waiting for you at the airport to welcome you and will provide you with further details of the program.       A scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu will take you to the Everest region. You will experience the views of the changing terrain and emerald hills from the flight. Walking on a track that slowly moves to Cheplung village, we can see the lovely glimpse of Mount Khumbila in the distance. Mt. Khumbila is a sacred peak which has not been climbed yet. We will then gradually walk down to Phakding, passing across lush landscapes as the striking view of Kusum Kangraru in the distance greets you.

      After breakfast at Phakding, we will pass through several villages before reaching the village of Jorsale and going through the Sagarmatha National Park. Established in 1976, the Sagarmatha National Park became the countryโ€™s first national park that was inscribed into the Natural World Heritage Site List. The entry point of the national park lies at Monjo and the woodlands of the park are a habitat to a wide variance of flora and fauna of the Everest region. During the journey, we can view a stunning backdrop of natural beauty along with old Mani stone walls carved with prayers. Passing the flexuous trail through the national park, we will cross several suspension bridges and pass through solemn alpine forests of pine and cedar. After the strenuous climb up the elevation, we will reach the capitol of the Everest region mostly inhabited by Sherpa people and which was once a trading rendezvous point for Nepali and Tibetan traders and merchants- Namche Bazaar. Immediately west of Namche lies the Kongde RI Himal at 6,187 meters and to the east is the Thamserku Peak at 6,623 meters. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

      It will be an acclimatization day for the coming days and altitude to gain. This will prepare to adapt the new altitude and climatic condition that you will be facing in next couple of weeks.  Trekking up to Everest Base Camp is a challenging job so, having rest and acclimatization days will help making it easier. You will have a majestic day hike up to Syangboche Airport. It is the worlds highest airport. And we walk around the Everest View Hotel and then back to Namche Bazaar.Overnight at a same guesthouse.

      Your hiking start after breakfast. The walk continues with gentle ascending towards Tengboche. The first hill is perfect place for photography and Himalayan vistas. The monastery at Tengboche is one of the major highlights of Everest Base Camp trek. Walking for about 6 hours today that includes a steep uphill bit on the second half of the day you will reach your campsite. In the evening, you can go for a walk around the Tengboche monastery and visit the monastery. Enjoy the beautiful evening with spectacular views at Tengboche Hill. Overnight at a guesthouse.

      As a daily routine, trek starts after breakfast towards Debuche. On the way you will be crossing Pangboche village which is a major Sherpa settlement. You will be enjoying the beautiful view of  Mt. Ama Dablam towering at the right side. Mt. Amadablam is regarded as one of the most attractive moutains in the worlds. On undulating trails we cross a river and make a short climb up to Dingboche. Overnight at a guesthouse.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Second Acclimatization Day In Dingboche (4350). Hike Up To Nagarsang (5090) Or Chhukung (4700M). Distance Approx. 4Km/ 3 Hrs.

      This will be the second rest and acclimatization day of this trek. After morning breakfast, you will walk around Dingboche. You have either option to hike up to Naragsang Hill or up to Chhukung Ri. Both the spots have similar elevation which is recommended for acclimatization. This can be decided after your discussion with guide. The choice may be effected by weather conditions.

      Today you will cross Thukla Pass to go Lobuche. The pass is also called Memorial Pass, since it has quite a few small stone memories and prayer flags to commemorate the loved ones who perished in Everest region. Comparatively, this section of trail is easier than that of previous days as it is on grassland. The view of Himalayas, Khumbu Valley, Cholatse Glacier Lakes, Thukla Pass and so froth make the walk really enjoyable.

      This is the climax walk of your trip to Everest Base Camp trek. The trail goes through the rocky trail along the Khumbu glacier. Walking will be quite rough and precarious on some bits. Therefor your special care on your own footstep is highly recommended. One the way, Gorakshep is the first village, you will take a rest here and take your lunch. After lunch you will trek continues to Everest Base Camp. On the way to Base Camp it is important to bring some snacks and water. Explore the Base Camp and return to the guesthouse which is about 5 hours up and down. Overnight at a guesthouse.

      Hike to Kalapattar is a challenging part of Everest Base Camp Trek. Early morning you will be taken for hike to Kalapathar to catch the sunrise. Astonishing view of mountain will rise up to your eye level as you climb up.The panoramic view of the Khumbu mountains from the top will be really amazing. Kalapattar is the highest point of EBC trek. You will see Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lhotse and many others peaks. You make an easy descent to Gorakshep and have breakfast before trekking down to Pheriche.

      You will cross Pangboche village and Imja Khola on the way to Namche Bazar. A small climb up takes us to Tengboche. Tengboche preserves the biggest monastery of the region. The Tengboche Monastry can be from the summit of Everest. Finally, you will reach Namche Bazzar on gradual ups for overnight stay.
