NOTE: If you return earlier from the trek due to sickness or any problem, the money you paid for the flight, hotel, mountain room, food, etc. is nonrefundable, and you will need to bear the expenses for the hotel, food, etc. in Kathmandu yourself. Please be advised that if you need to return early from the trek due to reasons such as sickness, unfavorable weather conditions, personal issues, itinerary modifications, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the following conditions apply: - Any payments made for flights, hotel accommodations, mountain room bookings, meals, and related expenses are nonrefundable. - You will be required to cover the costs of hotel stays, meals, and other expenses in Kathmandu independently.   • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu And Transfer To Hotels.

      Kathmandu is a city full of vibrant markets, lively streets, colorful temples and imposing pagodas. Your guide will be there to meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. The remainder of the day you will have time to familiarize yourself with the shopping areas in Thamel near to your hotel and catch up on shopping for equipment you may need on the trek.  In the evening your tour guide will give you a brief introduction and provide some useful and valuable information about the trek.  

  • Day 2 Day 2: Fly To Lukla 2,820M (35 Min) And Trek To Phakding (2,657 M) 4-5 Hours.

      This morning you will be picked up from your hotel by our guide who will take you to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport.  The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla takes approximately 35 minutes, giving you time to take in the magnificent views of the Himalayas. After landing at Tenzing-Hilary airport you will be met by your porter who will carry your luggage on the trek. You then begin your trek with a relatively easy walk passing a Kani (ceremonial gatehouse) before the tail descends and then takes you above Kyangma Village with its large Gompa (monastery) and school. We then head to Cheplung Village where the trail passes through a community forest close to the Dudh Koshi River. After crossing the suspension bridge you climb across the ridge to Ghat and then pass a school and several Mani walls, Chortens and prayer wheels..After a short trek from Ghat we reach Phakding.

      After breakfast the trail crosses several suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River before passing through the villages of Tok-Tok, Benkar, and Monjo before arriving at Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate where you will be required to purchase a permit. After following the trail on the river bed for a few hours, and after the last Hillary suspension bridge, there is a steep ascent to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar has a good selection of restaurants, a cyber cafรฉ, pubs, post office, ATMโ€™s and banks.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Acclimatization Day At Namche Bazaar.

      This relaxing and peaceful town is an ideal place for trekkers to acclimatize. Health specialists strongly recommend we spend the day being active, rather than sitting around being idle. From Namche Bazaar it is possible to take a short hike up to Everest View Resort, Thame, visit Khunde or rest and explore Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the center of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices, a bakery, and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday. A short trek of only a few hundred metres will help us to properly acclimatize. Our guides will also take us to the Tourist Visitor Center near the headquarters of the Sagarmatha National Park where we can see an collection of relics related to the first mountaineers to climb Everest, Sherpa culture and learn about the varied plant and animal life of this region.

      The trail begins with a steep ascent from the valley floor passing through rhododendron, juniper and a large conifer forest that enlivens the senses with their fragrant aroma. The trail passes through Yak Kharka (meaning grazing pasture for yak) and various Sherpa villages. Throughout the trek we will be blessed with breathtaking views of Khumbu La Pass and Tengboche.

      After leaving Dole we follow a high path for an hour before coming to Lhabarma Kharka at 4,325m and Luza at 4,390m. From here we have impressive views of Machhermo where we will stop for lunch. The remainder of the day is free to further acclimatize and maybe take a short climb where we will have views of Mt. Cho Oyo (8,210m) and different mountains towering above the Ngozumpa Glacier.

      This morning on the trail we pass Gokyo Lake on the trail to Pangka (4,545m). We pass two lakes before arriving at a third lake called Dudh Pokhari or Gokyo Lake. We will arrive at Gokyo and have time to wander around the lake all the while enjoying perspectives of Mt. Cho Oyo, the worldโ€™s 6th highest mountain, as well as Gychung Kang.

      Today we will be on the trail for around 6 to 7 hours beginning in the early morning with a steep ascent up to the peak of Gokyo Ri (5483m). The spectacular views will leave you awestruck and put your camera into turbo mode! The magnificent views of Gokyo valley; the enormous Ngozumpa Glacier (worldโ€™s highest); incredible expansive views of the entire Khumbu region, including the towering peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and Gychung Kang (7952m) are a feast for the eyes. We then continue on and trek to the foot of Cho La Pass. Its isolation means we will be spending the night in a dormitory.

      This morning we have an early start as we then trek from Gokyo Ri and simultaneously get a magnificent view of Mt Cholatse (6440m). Today is going to be the toughest day of our trek as we head to Cho La Pass (5420m). After reaching the highest point of the valley we begin our trek through Cho La Pass taking in some remarkable views of Chola Lake and Mt. Amadablam. Climbing and clambering on this trail can be quite difficult due to the rugged ice-covered rocky terrain. After reaching the top of the pass we then descend downhill to Dzongla โ€“ a more relaxing and less physically taxing descent!

      After an easy trek, we come to Thugla, where the enormous Khumbu glacier melts and forms some wild rivers. After a short break we continue on to Lobuche where we have some great views of Nuptse and Lobuche peaks. 

  • Day 11 Day 11: Trek To Everest Base Camp (5,364 M) And Back To Gorakshep (5,180 M) 6-7 Hours.

      This morning we head out on a two hour trek to Gorakshep. The trail is initially quite easy, but gradually becomes more difficult. Along the trail we have some extraordinary views of several towering peaks, such Everest, Nuptse and others. The trail continues for about 150 metres before we have to cross a moraine and then gets easier before we come to Gorakshep; one on the worldโ€™s the worldโ€™s most remote and highest settlements. After a break for lunch we trek to EBC following a trail alongside the Khumbu glacier. Navigating around the glacier takes around 1.5 hours before arriving at the region of EBC (5360m). At base camp you will have a chance to meet other climbers and share some amazing stories. From EBC you can see the Khumbu glacier with its scary and dangerous crevices. We will then descend to Gorakshep for the night - a journey of between 6 to 7 hours.

      This morning we trek to the famous viewpoint of Kalapathar (5,545m), the highest point of the trek that offers some of the most incredible views of Mt. Everest. We will then return to Gorakshep for breakfast and then head downhill past Lobuche and Thugla villages. As we head through the windy Pheriche Valley we will arrive at Pheriche where we will stop for a lunch break. From Pheriche we follow the trail to Pangboche where we will stop for the night. At Pangboche we will have some awesome close-up views of Mt. Ama Dablam.

      From Pangboche we head downhill and cross the Imjatse River and then come to Tyangboche Monastery. We then continue to Phunki Tenga with a short rest break at Kyanjoma. We then follow the trail to Namche Bazaar where we have some fantastic views of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. On the trail you will most likely encounter musk deer, Himalayan Thar and the Danphe (Nepalโ€™s national bird).

      This is our last day of the trek as we return to our starting point at Lukla. This is an ideal time to reflect on the treasured memories of our trek as a group and on achieving our individual goals. A free afternoon will give you time to unwind and enjoy a steaming - hot shower! This evening we will celebrate with a few drinks and dance.

      This is the last chance to appreciate and view the mountains we have recently visited as we head back on our 35 minute scenic flight to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu we will be taken back to our hotels in Thamel.
