      Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal!

      Upon arrival at the airport, your representative will greet you and take you to your hotel. Enjoy a special

      sunset rooftop dinner overlooking Nepalโ€™s largest stupa and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of

      Boudhanath Stupa. The area was once a central trade route that now protects Tibetan Buddhist culture

      and traditions. Explore the area, and walk around the stupa to get good luck.

      Kathmandu Valley encompasses three old kingdoms: Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, Patan and

      Bhaktapur. Kathmandu valley is ornate with palaces, intricate pagodas and monumental stupas which

      are testament to the artistic talent of the Newars (natives of the valley). The Newari craft was held in

      high regard by the kings of Malla and the Mongol rulers of 18th century China. The Gopala and Kirati

      dynasties were the first rulers, followed by Licchavi (300-879 AD), who flourished in trade and crafts.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Kathmandu

      Day 2: Kathmandu

      Early morning you will be transferred to the airport for fixed wings Mountain flight.

      The flight usually lasts between 50 minutes up to an hour. The planes take off either from TIA,

      Kathmandu. During the flight, you will catch a glimpse of 20 of the highest peaks to the East of Nepal

      starting from the Langtang Lirung peak which is the closest peak to Kathmandu, then moving towards

      Mt. Everest in the East and finally flying to Chamlang peak. From there, the plane takes a turn and the

      passengers get a second look at the view while they

      make their way back to Kathmandu.

      The mountain flight not only allows you to enjoy

      fantastic views but also helps you to understand the

      geography of Nepal. Although mountain flights do not

      have a long history, it has gained popularity among

      tourists for the beauty that it promises.

      Patan is the oldest of the three major cities in the Kathmandu Valley and is known for its rich cultural

      heritage. Also known as Lalitpur and the city of artisans, Patan is a place where fine arts are highly

      prized. It is home to the finest artisan of the Kathmandu Valley, who have preserved such ancient

      techniques and the lost wax technique used to create exquisite sculptures. The city is considered one

      of the oldest Buddhist cities in the world, with many temples and shrines.

      Pashupatinath is one of the most important holy sites for the

      Hindu religion. The magnificent temple with its astonishing

      architectural beauty is situated on the bank of the sacred

      Bagmati River and is believed to date back to 400 BC. The

      area includes 518 temples, buildings, and structures. The

      main temple is designed as a pagoda structure dedicated to

      lord Shiva and is open only to the Hindus; non-Hindus must

      satisfy themselves by observing from the terraces across the

      Bagmati River to the east. The temple is guarded by the

      Nepalese military force and semi-military Nepali police.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Kathmandu

      Day 3: Kathmandu

      Breakfast at the hotel, before embarking on a sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. Start by

      visiting, Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. The temple is situated atop a hill

      offering panoramic views of Kathmandu valley. The large domed stupa is surrounded by a variety of

      small shrines and temples, each ornate and luxuriously decorated with gold and vibrant prayer flags

      and is considered holy to Tibetan Buddhists and Hindus. The site is believed to date back to 460 A.D.

      and was reconstructed by King Manadeva in the 13th century.

      Then, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO Heritage Site with over fifty temples, including the

      temple of the titular deity, Taleju Bhawani. The Durbar diverges into two courtyards, the outer

      Kasthamandap, Kumari Ghar, and Shiva-Parvati Temple, and the inner section consisting of Hanuman

      Dhoka and the main palace. Some floors of the main

      palace have been converted to museums dedicated to

      three generations of Shah kings of Nepal and also

      showcase some ornaments from the medieval periods.

      Thus, the palace is also known as "the Museum of

      Temples". The outer courtyards around Gaddi Baithak

      include handicraft shops, while outside of Durbar

      Square is Ason Bazar which is known for its

      architectural sights and charming ambience with the

      hustling and bustling of the locals in the spices and

      vegetable market.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Bandipur

      Day 4: Bandipur

      Today, after breakfast, we leave the valley and drive to

      Bandipur. The drive takes you along the Prithvi highway

      along the Trishuli river. Once we reach Dumre Bazar, we

      head a little further leave the highway and take right

      through the Bandipur Gate. The dive to Bandipur from

      Dumre Bazar is about half an hour uphill drive. Upon arrival,

      check in to the hotel, and later take a short walk around the

      village.

      The hilltop settlement of Bandipur is considered one of the

      most charming towns in Nepal. In an effort made by the town to retain the age-old flavour of the

      Newari culture, the town is surrounded by pristine forests. The well-preserved Bandipur retains its age-

      old cultural features such as temples, shrines, sacred caves, countless festivals and Newar architecture,

      offering a rich hill culture, mountain scenery and hiking opportunities. It offers. It has a distinctly

      European feel, with charming 18th-century architecture, pedestrian streets and al fresco restaurants.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Pokhara

      Day 5: Pokhara

      Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, before continuing on the road to Pokhara. Upon arrival, check-in at your

      hotel. Pokhara is known as the gateway city to the Himalayas. This beautiful lakeside place is a tourist

      and trekkers paradise with pristine fresh air, spectacular horizon of snowy peaks, serene lakes, and

      surrounding greenery making it โ€˜the jewel in the Himalayaโ€™, a place of remarkable natural beauty.

      Enjoy boating at Phewa Tal and stroll around the lakeside area.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Pokhara

      Day 6: Pokhara

       Located at an altitude of 1,500 m, just

      above World Peace Pagoda, is the Pumdikot Viewpoint offering impressive

      views of Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Annapurna, Mt Machhapuchhre, and of the city

      that includes Phewa Lake, Pokhara city, paragliding, Pame, Sarangkot, and a

      few other tourist destinations. The viewpoint also has a new 16m (51ft) high

      statue of Lord Shiva with 108 Shiva Linga surrounding it.

      Visit Peace Pagoda while returning back to the Pokhara Valley. The Pokhara

      Shanti Stupa, or Peace Pagoda, located at an altitude of 1,100 meters, is a

      pagoda built in the pagoda style of the Nihonsan Myoboji monks. The word

      "Shanti" means peace in Sanskrit and is also widely used in Nepali and Hindi.

      Shanti Stupa means Peace Tower. The shrine was built as a symbol of peace.

      Nepal is home to two of the worldโ€™s eight peace pagodas and the other Shanti

      Stupa is located in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. The peace pagoda in Pokhara offers panoramic

      views of the Annapurna Mountains, Pokhara City

  • Day 7 Day 7: Chitwan

      Day 7: Chitwan

      A very early morning drive to Sarangkot will award you with a spectacular sunrise view over the

      Himalayas. Sarangkot is a picturesque village perched on a ridge at an altitude of 1,600 meters,

      offering one of the best panoramic views of the Himalayas, such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and

      Manaslu. This place is mainly visited in the early morning to watch the sunrise and is also becoming

      more popular for paragliding activities and cable car rides.

      You can have the option of a Cable Car Ride Down or Paragliding down โ€“ Subject to the extra cost

      Breakfast at the hotel, before driving to Chitwan. Retrace the same highway till Muglin for about three

      hrs., before taking the turning to drive south which takes an additional one and half hours. Chitwan

      National Park is the first national park in Nepal (1973), located in the lush valley of Chitwan District,

      75 miles southwest of Kathmandu, in the foothills of the Churia Range. Rich in a subtropical

      environment, the National Park is home to a total of 68 mammal species, 544 bird species, 56

      herpeto fauna species and approx. 26 fish species. The park is especially renowned for its protection

      of One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and Gharial Crocodile. Enlisted under the World

      Heritage Property, the park is also a Ramsar Site โ€“ Beeshazari Tal in its buffer zone. Upon arrival

      Early breakfast at the hotel, before experiencing the thrill of a Jungle walk inside the dense forest of

      the Chitwan National Park accompanied by an expert naturalist. Get the chance to see one-horned

      rhinocerosโ€™ birds and other animals. After lunch, enjoy boating on the Rapti River with the picturesque

      view of the Himalayan foothills and a chance to witness innumerable rhinoceroses, gharials, and

      birdlife.

      *Note: Jeep Safari is prohibited during monsoon season by the park authorities from June-September,

      and sometime till October.
