      Tokyoโ€™S Temples & More

      Today, youโ€™ll visit Meiji Jingu Shrine, Tokyoโ€™s largest and most influential spiritual site. Located just beside the JR Yamanote Lineโ€™s busy Harajuku Station, the Shrine and the adjacent Yoyogi Park make up a large forested area within the densely built-up city. The spacious shrine grounds offer walking paths that are great for a relaxing stroll.


      Youโ€™ll also be able to explore Harajuku itself, which encompasses the vibrant district surrounding Tokyoโ€™s Harajuku Station, strategically positioned between Shinjuku and Shibuya on the Yamanote Line. Known as the hub of Japanโ€™s avant-garde teenage cultures and diverse fashion styles, it also boasts intriguing historical sites.

      Youโ€™ll also visit Koyasan Danjo Garan, one of the two most sacred sites in Mt. Koya, historical significance as it is the site of its establishment.


      Youโ€™ll also get to immerse yourself in the rich religious and cultural treasures of the temple at Koyasan Reihokan Museum. Explore thousands of religious works of art, including statues, mandala paintings, and a notable scroll depicting the "Reclining Image of Sakyamuni Buddha on His Last Day."
