About experience

When it comes to exploring the ancient Khmer capital of Angkor, one of the most remarkable and impressive sights in all of Asia today, few things can top the experience of cycling beneath towering fig trees among a thousand years of Khmer history. The Angkor empire's regional power was unmatched for much of its 600 years, and under a number of its so called 'god-kings' such as Jayavarman the 7th, the artistic exploits of the Khmer kingdom were unrivaled.

One of the most remarkable facets of Angkor is that it is located at the heart of a bustling Khmer countryside community. And with the town of Siem Reap only a short ride away, and numerous farming communities scattered around the historical park, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the rural life of ordinary Cambodian people going about their everyday life in this extraordinary place.

Day 1:

Our tour starts after we pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel, where you will have the rest of the day free.

Day2:

We start our second day by exploring the Angkor temple grounds and complex before hopping on the Grand Circuit where we stop at each major temple area. We end our day at Phnom Bakhengat temple where we are rewarded with a stunning sunset and breathtaking view.

Day 3:

On our third day we leave the crowds behind and turn off the main tourist road to Banteay Samre and Banteay Srei where we continue to explore some of the country's most exquisite temples and ruins.

Day 4:

On the fourth day of our adventure we make a stop at Roulous, home to some of the earliest permanent structures built by the Khmers, and continue our journey on a boat tour of the floating village of Kampong Phluck before driving or cycling (optional) back to Siem Reap.

Day 5:

The fifth and last day is free at your own leisure until your transfer to the airport.

On this 5-day tour we will cycle the total of 78mi (126km) over the course of two and a half days. A support truck travels behind the group to support us and participants can cycle as much or as little as they like and still enjoy the same views as the rest of the group.

Tour leaving from Siem Reap

Siem Reap, in Cambodia, is famous for its stunning temples of Angkor, such as the iconic Angkor Wat temple. In addition to its rich history and architecture, Siem Reap offers lively markets, delicious Cambodian food, and the opportunity to explore the beautiful Tonle Sap Lake.
