Day 1: Adelaide to Mt. Remarkable National Park

Stop At: Port Wakefield, Port Wakefield, South Australia
Headed north, grab a coffee in the small town of Port Wakefield before exploring the beautiful beaches around Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Port Germein, Port Germein, South Australia
In the seaside town of Port Germein, stroll along South Australia's longest jetty, built-in 1881.

Stop At: Mount Remarkable National Park, Mambray Creek, South Australia Australia
Journey onwards to Mt. Remarkable National Park in the Southern Flinders Ranges to set up camp for the night.

Day 2: Mt. Remarkable National Park & Eyre Peninsula

Stop At: Venus Bay SA 5607, Australia
Today we travel to the wild and beautiful Eyre Peninsula, one of Australiaโ€™s best-kept secrets. On the way youโ€™ll see some unique outback silo art in the tiny outback town of Kimba. After a quick pitstop for lunch, itโ€™s time to head towards the coast. Spot dolphins surfing the waves at Venus Bay and explore Talia Caves.

Stop in at Lake Newland Conservation Park sand dunes where adrenaline junkies can test out their sandboarding skills.

Stop At: Coodlie Park Farm Retreat, Flinders Highway, Port Kenny SA 5671, Australia
In the afternoon, weโ€™ll pull into our home base at Coodlie Park. Here, company owner Hassie will cook up a delicious BBQ feast. Share campfire stories with travellers from our other tour before spending the night in a unique swag hut.

Day 3: Baird Bay & Penong

Stop At: Sceale Bay SA 5680, Australia
This morning, peel on the wetsuit for two-hour learn-to-surf lesson on a remote and pristine beach with Sceale Bay Surf School. Those not wanting to surf will be able to relax, swim or explore Sceale Bay while the others test their surf skills.

Stop At: Baird Bay, South Australia Australia
Following a picnic lunch, itโ€™s time for one of the tour highlights, swimming with the ever-playful wild sea lions and majestic dolphins on a 3-hour cruise in the sheltered waters of Baird Bay. This optional experience is an outsourced adventure operated by Baird Bay Eco Tours. (This experience is paid to the operator on the day).

Tonight weโ€™ll camp at Penong, which is famous for its dozens of windmills. Today we drive around 5 hours in total with stops along the way.

Day 4: The Nullarbor & The Great Australian Bight

Stop At: Great Australian Bight, Nullarbor, South Australia Australia
There is no getting out of a long drive today as we start to travel across the mighty Nullarbor Plain. โ€˜Crossing the Nullarborโ€™ has become a rite of passage for backpackers, and for Australians it is the quintessential experience of the โ€˜Australian Outbackโ€™. Take a snap the world-famous wombat, kangaroo and camel road sign and experience the jaw-dropping beauty of the โ€˜Edge of Australiaโ€™ at the Bunda Cliffs.

Stop At: Nullarbor Roadhouse, Eyre Highway, Nullarbor SA 5690, Australia
Stop at the iconic Nullarbor Roadhouse, explore the ruins of an old telegraph station and, come arvo, weโ€™ll cross the border into Western Australia. Tonightโ€™s entertainment is provided courtesy of the celestial sphere.

Day 5: The Nullarbor to Cape Le Grand National Park

Stop At: Nullarbor National Park, Eyre Highway, Nullarbor, South Australia 5690 Australia
Today, weโ€™ll take on Australiaโ€™s longest straight road which funnily enough is called โ€˜90 Mile Straightโ€™. Visit the outback town of Balladonia, which shot to worldwide fame in 1979 when the Skylab space station returned to earth here rather abruptly.

Stop At: 92 Dempster St Cape Le Grand National Park, Esperance, Western Australia 6450 Australia
After another reasonably big drive today with plenty of entertainment and stops along the way, get ready for some of Australiaโ€™s most spectacular scenery as we make our way towards Esperance. This part of Western Australia has no less than nine National Parks and some of the best beaches in the world. Weโ€™ll set up camp in the most spectacular of all, Cape Le Grand. In fact, itโ€™s so spectacular weโ€™ll stay two nights and the well-equipped camping area does have toilet and shower facilities.

Drive time today is around 7 hours and 600 km.

Day 6: Cape Le Grand National Park

Stop At: 92 Dempster St Cape Le Grand National Park, Esperance, Western Australia 6450 Australia
Crystal clear waters, powdery, white sands, expansive granite bluffsโ€ฆ and sunbathing kangaroos? Sound like a dream? Well, itโ€™s not, because today youโ€™ll wake up in paradise. Pristine and perfect are two words that reflect the absolute beauty of Cape Le Grand National Park. The ocean here is transparent and the sand at Lucky Bay has twice been judged Australiaโ€™s whitest. Today youโ€™ll enjoy meeting the adorable western grey kangaroos, who donโ€™t mind posing for that iconic kangaroo selfie.

We will be spending the whole day here exploring, swimming and bushwalking. And youโ€™ll also have some free time to do whatever you please. We drive only 10 minutes today, and walks will vary from 2-4 hours.

Day 7: Cape Le Grand National Park & Stirling Ranges

Stop At: Frenchman's Peak, Le Grand Road Cape Le Grand National Park, Esperance, Western Australia 6450 Australia
Sunrise here is spectacular and itโ€™s also when the roos are at their most active. Weโ€™ll wander onto the beach nice and early to see these, before we set out on a hike up Frenchman Peak. A challenging yet rewarding hike, youโ€™ll wow at the beautiful vistas, which span right across Cape Le Grand and the Recherche Archipelago.

Pass By: Stirling Range National Park, Stirling Range Drive, Western Australia 6317 Australia
Refuel with a lunch stop on one of the many beaches on Esperanceโ€™s Great Ocean Drive, then settle in for the onwards drive to our Stirling Ranges.

Stop At: Mt Trio, Formby South Rd, Stirling Ranges, Stirling Range National Park, Western Australia 6338 Australia
Today we drive for about 5 hours and camp in a private campground in the Stirling Ranges.

Day 8: Stirling Ranges & South West Coast

Stop At: Porongurup National Park, via Mt Barker-Porongurup Rd Great Southern Region, Mount Barker, Western Australia 6323 Australia
Weโ€™ll visit the oldest mountain range in the world, today. The Porongurups rise up from the landscape like an island. Set out on a two-hour hike through some spectacular forests to Castle Rock. A bit of a climb but worth every bit of effort as you are rewarded with breathtaking views over the region.

Stop At: Torndirrup National Park, Turn Left Just Before End of Salmon Hole Rd, 10 Km South of Albany, Albany, Western Australia 6330 Australia
Jump back on the bus for a magnificent coastal drive towards Albany. Be wowed at The Gap and Natural Bridge.

Stop for a dip at magical Elephant Rocks and Greens Pool in William Bay National Park near Denmark.

Stop At: Walpole-Nornalup National Park, 120 Km West of Albany Great Southern Region, Walpole, Western Australia 6398 Australia
From the coast to the forest, discover the pristine wilderness and old growth forests of the Walpole region with the last stop of the day at the largest Tingle Tree in Western Australia. We do about 5 hours of driving today, with stops along the way.

Day 9: Margaret River

Stop At: Diamond Tree, South Western Highway 10 km South of Manjimup, Manjimup, Western Australia 6258 Australia
After breakfast, those feeling brave can climb the 50-metre Diamond Tree, a native karri tree once used as a fire lookout, and the only wooden tree-top tower in the world.

Stop At: Margaret River WA 6285, Australia
But today is all about tantalising your taste buds as we spend the rest of the day tasting our way around Margaret River. Visit boutique wineries, craft breweries, a chocolate factory and a cheese factory, sampling as we go. Cheers to that.

Day 10: Margaret River to Perth

Stop At: Koomal Dreaming, Yallingup Caves Rd, Yallingup WA 6282, Australia
On the last day of the tour youโ€™ll wake to the now-familiar laugh of kookaburras. Roll up your swag one last time before jumping on the bus to Dunsborough to meet Wardandi custodian, Josh. He will introduce you to the worldโ€™s oldest living culture with his authentic and personal interpretation. Go deep down into the Ngilgi Cave for a memorable underground didgeridoo performance, taste native foods, and experience traditional fire-lighting on this unique Indigenous cultural experience.

As our 10-day adventure across the South Coast of Australia draws to an end, weโ€™ll have a last dip at the popular tourist town of Busselton, where itโ€™s hard to miss the 19th-century Jetty stretching 1.8km into Geographe Bay. One last stint on the road has us arriving into Perth around 6pm. Although there are no formal activities planned it is usual for the group to get together and reflect on the big journey together over a few drinks.
