Small Group 7-day Tour Of Ireland

Day 1:

Leave Dublin and travel west to the culture filled city of Galway. Galway is sure to give you a real Irish welcome with lively pubs and Irish traditional music heard from most doors. The countryside won't disappoint with its natural rugged landscape you can only dream of.

Day 2:

Travel to the Cliffs of Moher. On the way to the Cliffs, pass through the Burren, a National Park. The Cliffs are one of Ireland’s most iconic attractions. This 5-mile stretch of cliff top views will take your breath away.

Day 3:

Journey west to the little fishing town of Dingle. Here you'll see the famous dolphin Fungie and much more marine life. Next set-sail to the Blasket Islands, here you can walk the unique system of un-fenced green roads. These grassy tracks were previously used by the islanders and these days are kept trimmed by the island's sheep, rabbits and hares.

Day 4:

Stop at Inch Beach, then start the scenic Ring of Kerry at the cultural town of Killorglin. After, stop at the beautiful town of Killarney. See the majestic lakes of Killarney, the Killarney national park and a visit to the Muckross House and Gardens. A night in Killarney is definitely one to remember with a vibrant atmosphere in the many traditional pubs and fantastic restaurants.

Day 5:

Cross over the Shehy mountains into county Cork, known as the rebel county. Visit Blarney castle and gardens which is home to the famous Blarney Stone. There is also a great vibe around the city, especially the English market, this is a Victorian style market dating back to the 18th century which is just as popular now with great quality produce sold every day. Take in the beautiful coastal town of Cobh, this was the last port of call for the Titanic.

Day 6:

It’s now time to head back to Dublin, here you'll visit the famous Guinness storehouse and who knows you might find out the secret recipe, not forgetting to sample the black stuff as you enjoy a free pint. Also visit St. Patrick's Cathedral. Built in honor of our Patron Saint, here learn about the origin of Christianity in Ireland and the changes made in the church over the past centuries. After this, take a tour of the city. Dublin's vibrant nightlife is centered around the cobbled streets of Temple Bar.

Day 7:

On the last day, take a panoramic tour of Dublin. First take a tour of Dublin Castle, this location was the center of political life in the city back in the 13th century. Then see Kilmainham Gaol, this is where the leaders of the rebellion were court marshaled and executed prompting a political change in Ireland. Finally, take a walking tour of the city and visit the key battle sites of the rebellion and see what stands there now, 100 years later.
