About experience

Day 1

Your private guide will pick you up from Budapest and bring you to the picturesque village in the National Park of Little Fatra to settle in to your accommodation and get ready for tomorrowโ€™s excursion.

Day 2

After breakfast, take a modern cable car to the top of the mountains to begin your hike. Your hike in Little Fatra will be full of wonderful panoramic views over nearby valleys and peaks. You will reach the highest peak of Little Fatra, and walk on green alpine pastures before taking lunch at the mountain chalet.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will visit the enchanting Cave of Liberty in the National Park of the Low Tatras. Thanks to its spectacular dripstone decorations, this cave is one of the most beautiful caves in Europe. Your trip then continues to the National Park of the High Tatras โ€“ the highest mountain range in the Carpathians. Take a walk around the huge glacial lake ล trbskรฉ pleso or visit the beautiful Lakes of Love. In the afternoon, take a cable car to Skalnatรฉ pleso lake, which is situated right under the second highest peak of the High Tatras โ€“ Lomnickรฝ peak. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from the lake or take another cable car right to the top of the peak if you wish. Spend the night in your hotel situated in the mountains.

Day 4

Today you will explore Slovakiaโ€™s diverse Slovak Paradise National Park: A huge area of undiscovered wilderness of gorges with waterfalls and underground caves. You will visit a huge rock shelf with limestone wall, that stands above 200 metres. Enter a canyon and walk above the river on footbridges, grates and wooden ladders.

Your trek continues into the most romantic part of the National Park โ€“ Klรกลกtorskรก gorge. The track between waterfalls is secured by a number of wooden and iron ladders, chains or grates requiring a little caution. After an hour, you will come to the ruins of Cartesian monastery where you take a lunch break. Your accommodation tonight will be the picturesque mountain village of ลฝdiar.

Day 5

Today you will move on to the National Park of Pieniny. Here you will board wooden rafts, traditionally used by lumberjacks to carry logs, and drift down the Dunajec river. Sit back, breathe in the fresh air and let the surrounding nature restore your inner harmony. On the way back you will hop on bikes and take an easy ride along green river banks in the impressive Pieniny landscape.

In the afternoon, you will visit the National Park of the Low Tatras and have the opportunity to take some panoramic photos from a wooden watchtower. Afterwards, you will have time to explore the completely preserved medieval town of Banskรก ล tiavnica (on the UNESCO World Heritage list).

Day 6

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have the opportunity to visit a unique cave bath to enjoy a well-earned rest before transferring to the airport for your departure flight.
